Pokémon emerald water monotype challenge:
It's been a while since I started the challenge because I really haven't had much time to play, but now it's time for the first update. Sorry but the screenshots are all in italian since I'm playing an italian version of the game.

Time to start a new adventure

Saved Professor Birch and got my starter pokémon

Got 3 new party members in route 102 and 104

Trained a bit and got the first badge

Saved the wingull and caught a nincada as a cut slave

Caught 2 new pokémon after reaching Dewford, boxed the magicarp

Done some training, evolved Lotad and beaten the 2nd gym leader, it was a hard fight mainly because my team was a bit underleveled

Taught nincada flash and ready to go into Granite cave

That's all for now, I will probably update every 2 gym.

Ultimate Poison-Mono Challenge: Crystal

- Beat Silver, then caught a female Oddish named "Rafflesia"

Weird, I could've sworn I posted a second update earlier…

Anyway! You may notice that I caught a Machop, named it Gummy, and subsequently evolved him into a Machoke. That's because that's precisely what I did! (Met at Rock Tunnel, Lv17)

Before that, Lt. Surge proved to be a pushover once I taught Donut how to Dig, and I still haven't seen enough Pokémon to get the HM01! (Ohnoes…)

Regardless, as repetitive as it may seem, it is imperative to reiterate that: CROSSING ROCK TUNNEL WITHOUT FLASH AND BY MEMORY IS THE FIRST LEVEL OF HELL!

Once I got to Lavender I made a straight run to Celadon City, merked Erika (thank Arceus for high crit ratios!), and destroyed the Rocket's base of operations. Giovanni was a joke, Gummy (who'd just evolved into a Machoke) Low Kick OHKO'd every single one of his Pokémon.
(Note to self, don't have a team made up of a bunch of huge Rock or Normal-types, lol)

As of now, I just beat Saffron City's Fighting Dojo, and became the new grandmaster, and now they've decided to reward my Fighting-type Pokémon training aptitude with yet another Fighting-type Pokémon, so…

Who should I pick?
Are Hitmonchan's elemental punches even worth it In-Game? I really like Hitmonlee, and I usually pick him, but I think I got enough physical attackers as it is… x_x​

You could go either way really, the punches aren't worth it considering Hitmonchan's Special Attack stat is crap but he's still a good Pokemon, I personally prefer Hitmonlee stat-wise and movepool-wise for the 3rd Gen, I just used one in my ultimate fighting-mono run and it did fantastic.

Anyway enough of my rambling, time for an update:

Ultimate Poison-Mono Challenge: Crystal

- Took a little trip here and there to grab a Moonstone for "The King!" , then managed to trade my Doppel and evolve him into a Gengar

- Made the trip over to Cianwood and beat Chuck for the

Storm Badge

- Went back to Olivine and destroyed Jasmine for the

Mineral Badge

- Went to Mahogany and did the Lake of Rage and Rocket Hideout events, then went to Mahogany Gym where my last 2 Pokemon evolved

- I then proceeded to defeat Pryce quite easily and earn myself the

Glacier Badge

Beat the Elite Four and now it's on to Kanto, here's a quick update:

- Cleared all of Kanto in no time flat, then climbed Mt.Silver and beat Red

SRed for a female Chikorita which I named Chibi, as usual.
Did the whole trip to Mr. Pokémon's house to get the Egg.
Obtained my Pokédex.
Got the call from Elm about the theft.
Rushed back home.
Met the thief along the way. He claimed his name was ??? so that's exactly what I told the cops.
Caught Vincent the HootHoot.
Trained Vincent to level 9 while waiting for morning.
Morning came so I caught Lilah the Sentret.
Trained Lilah to level 8.
Battled Joey and the other guy. Avoided the Bug Catcher in the grass.
Went Teddiursa hunting in the Dark Cave.
Fled from tons of Zubats, tons of Geodudes and (EXACTLY) 2 Dunsparce.
Ran into a couple of Teddiursa that fled.
Caught Necrum the Teddiursa after a while.
Trained Necrum to level 10, battling the Bug Catcher I left behind in the process.
Trained Lilah to level 9 and Vincent to level 10.
Entered Violet City, healed at the PokéCenter and saved.

So after a plethora of issues trying to record FireRed for my Flying ultimate mono, I decided I'd just take notes of my adventure, and forget the screenshots. Windows 8 kind of blows for screen recording as of now. Also, I'm doing Platinum first. Not sure why..

Well, I completely botched my update and deleted the post that took me about 20 minutes to type, so in a nutshell I've beaten Flannery and have 5 Pokemon (I was using a Dustox but I dropped cause it wasn't doing to well), here are the Screenshots:

Finished off the FireRed leg of my ultimate Water challenge

Update 2

Spoiler:

-Ground out a few levels before getting fed up with switching every battle and just catching enough pokes to earn the EXP share
-Used EXP share throughout Silph Co. to grind Crusher and Tadpole, both of whom evolved to Kingler and Poliwhirl along the way
-Started using Lapras immediately. Also, got tired of nicknaming my pokes, so I didn't nickname it lol
-Saffron Gym was really easy due to Crusher's high attack stat
-Ground out some more levels along the two routes to Fuschia, teaching Lapras Shock Wave along the way
-Koga was easy with Crusher using Mud Shot and Tadpole using Psychic
-EXP shared my brand new Tentacool on the way to Cinnabar, where I immediately revived Omanyte, rounding out my final team. Neither got nicknamed
-Pokemon Mansion and Cinnabar were both cakewalks, with Rain OHKOing all of Blaine's pokes. Fought all of the trainers inside the gym instead of answering the trivia[why waste the levels?]
-Ground out some more levels on my way back to Pallet
-Giovanni was the easiest trainer in his gym, because almost none of his trainers use Ground types
-Beat Rival Green on the way to Elite Four[Forgot you had to battle him there again]
-Beat Elite Four. Omanyte evolved to Omastar after battle with Lance. Lapras beasted pretty much everything
-Barely Beat Champion Green. Hooray for items and Lapras being an unstoppable tank

Only there because Tentacruel has always been a favorite of mine, Tentacruel almost never got used. He got brought on board way too late into the game to have much use, as pretty much every slot had been filled. Essentially an HM slave, Tentacruel never launched a single attack, and only appeared in battle to allow me time to heal and revive my other pokes, Tentacruel is my LVP, even if he is pretty awesome when you get one early game.

Actually, I think I know what I'm doing wrong. Whenever I'm done uploading a picture and pasting it in my update, I delete the pics from my account on IMGUR, if thats the problem, then I truly am an idiot XD
