Okay, he Platinum portion of my Elec-Mono challenge is done! Here's my final update and Team Stats for the game:

Ultimate Elec-Mono: Platinum

- Traveled to Pastoria and easily beat Wake for the

Fen Badge
- Made my way to Celestic Town where I beat Cyrus and received Surf
- Went to the Fuego Ironworks where I caught a Magnemite and named it "Saucer"
- Leveled Saucer up a bit and evolved it into Magnezone at Mt.Coronet
- Surfed over to Canalave and defeated Byron for the

Mine Badge
- Did the Lake Valor and Verity quest and traveled up to Snowpoint
- Defeated Candice for the

Icicle Badge then met up with Berry at Lake Acuity
- Did the whole Galactic quest, defeating Cyrus and Giratina
- Finally caught a male Electabuzz and named him "Volgin"
- Had an electrifying showdown with Volkner and received the

Beacon Badge
- Made my way to and through Victory Road, then level grinded for the Elite Four
- Beat Aaron, struggled against Bertha, beat Flint, beat Lucian, then finally had an extremely tough fight with Cynthia and her Garchomp
- Emerged victorious and watched the credits roll

Sorry dude. I'm gonna have to call foul on this one. I realize you had 2 Fire Pokemon on your team, but you really only used one. You can't just plug a low level Pokemon of your type into your team and call it good, cause that means you still only used one Pokemon of your type. I will update the rules to be more clear on that, but I can't count this run as complete, sorry. :(

I just reviewed your Johto run as well, and you did the same thing there. Using only your starter is not a Monotype, it's a Solo run. I'm sorry, but I can't count either of those.

What happens if there is only one of the Pokemon's type in the game. Does that mean we have to get a second of that Pokemon? a.k.a, Hack in Dratini early on for Kanto Dragon Mono, since it's impossible to get it before the third gym but be forced to get a second one later on? If so, that blows. Nice Userbar things by the way, they're better than the previous ones.

I feel like it's almost necessary for me, since I see it as a sequel to B/W, instead of how I see Platinum as a slightly altered D/P or Emerald as a slightly altered R/S.

The only problem being that I can't get a ROM of it that doesn't screw up on my R4i. So I'm waiting until someone makes one that works.

Yes it sucks, but this is not a Solo run. When I do the monotypes for types with only one family, I plan to use one NFE. ie Dragonite & Dragonair, Haunter & Gengar.

As for 5th gen, yeah, they are sequals, but it's more about the fact that you are playing the same region rather than about the story. Hell, you even fight the same Elite Four. But that's entirely up to you. I think that's a really cool idea.
