Got Boss to level 5 before hitting Route 202.
Beat a Shinx to get Boss to level 6.
Youngster Tristan's Starly leveled Boss to 7.
Lass Natalie's Bidoof stood no chance and put Boss at level 8.
Youngster Logan's Burmy became level fodder.

Dawn abducted me and got the Vs. Recorder from Looker.
Got my Pokétch coupons, and subsequently, my Pokétch.

Training session 1

Spoiler:

Lass Sarah's Shinx failed with opposite-gender Rivalry and gave Boss level 9.
Boss learned Wing Attack (about time).
Caught Bruce, my level 6 Quiet Zubat in Ravaged Path.
Youngster Tyler's Magikarp gave Bruce a speed EV, wooo..
Lass Samantha's Budew leveled Bruce up to 7.

-RIVAL BATTLE-
Confused Starly with Bruce's Supersonic and then switched out.. into the fifth Growl in a row.
Boss' Wing attack twice with -2 attack KO'd Starly.
Switched in Bruce for Turtwig.
Missed Supersonic TWICE while Turtwig set up two Withdraws.
Spamming Leech Life while getting confusion hax to wear down Turtwig.
Only got to about 2/3 health before needed to switch. Going to kill Withdraw.
First Wing Attack got a crit and finished Turtwig off.
Boss got level 10.

Training session 2

Spoiler:

Youngster Michael's Kricketot and Zubat were easy work for Boss to switch train for Bruce. Bruce got level 8 from Kricketot.
Youngster Dallas' Shinx was an issue because Rivalry. Confused with Bruce and spammed Quick attack with Boss.
Youngster Sebastian's gave Boss level 11 via switch from Zubat.
Lass Madeline's Psyduck was lulbait for Bruce, who is now level 9, and learned Astonish.
Lass Kaitlin's first Bidoof, Abra, and Budew were just Leech Life spam by Bruce, while her Starly was slaughtered by Boss.

Well, Oreburgh Gate time... joy...
Nice old Hiker guy gave me HM06 (Rock Smash) and I went about my way.
Camper Curtis' Starly was a one-shot for Boss' Wing Attack. Switched back to Bruce for Shinx, and Rivalry boned me. Quick Attack by Boss finished it. Boss is now level 12.

Ragequit because Bruce is dead right now and I don't feel like going all the way back to heal, or taking the next fight and losing that experience for him.

EDIT: Just realized I may be putting a bit much detail into this. Should I tone down the specifics to say.. Rival battles and Gym Leaders? Maybe special in-game events as well?

Johto Update #2: I left off when I mentioned Sprout Tower. Well, my sleep didn't go so well. Violet City people are way nicer than the Kanto Elite 4. Everyone asked if I wanted a place to stay, interrupting my sleep. How pleasant of them. Training in Sprout Tower was easy, despite Tyson and Loyal not having Ember. Loyal even solo'd the Elder, but not before Derp could butt in. Seriously, you think you're better than me because you won first? Forget you! Falkner was just as easy, with Loyal also soloing him, although Loyal almost fainted. Falkner asked if I wanted to hang out with him for a little bit, so I accepted. Holy crap, Falkner had a whole backyard full of flying type Pokemon in training. He even had an army of Charmanders and Charmeleons, with a side of 2 Charizards. I already miss Slendy. :( Eventually, I had to continue my journey in Johto, and that is just what I did. While headed down to Union Cave, Tyson evolved into Quilava! Yay. Clearing Route 32 of trainers, my team of fire types wanted rest, so we are currently sleeping outside Union Cave. How am I doing in my fire monotype? Current party is: Tyson the Quilava(M) Lvl.15 with: Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, and Ember; and Loyal the Growlithe(M) Lvl.12 with: Bite, Roar, and Ember. Any moveset suggestions are welcome, and as always good luck to anyone attempting this challenge, and see you later. :)

Before we get to my recent exploits in Sinnoh, allow me for a split-second to cut to Johto, where I spent three or four hours breeding for an Adamant Murkrow with Super Luck. I really should've never learned about natures. Anyway, I traded my Murkrow over to Platinum, (rule #10) and we now have a team of two!

Checking back on my honey trees was a major let-down, and I'm starting to re-consider my decision to use another Bug/Flying for this part of the challenge, as well. Meanwhile, Murkrow is proving a real brat. Strong, sure, but he's a prick. He keeps on ignoring orders takes naps in the middle of battle. It'll get better, though, he just needs to adapt a bit! Anywho, I arrived at Eterna City and - not surprisingly - sweeped Gardenia's team with overwhelming ease.

After rigorously training Firos, Swarley, and Aerith all gained level 68,67, and 65 in that order.
I then attempted and defeated the Elite Four.
It was a rough fight, and I thought we weren't going to pull through several times.

Now, I leave my friends in the hands of Professor Oak,and shall now continue my journey in Johto, where I hear Professor Elm needs help raising new pokemon.

If I were to do this on SS and wanted to do psychic would I be allowed to give myself a low level ralts as a starter? The only remotely close psychic is slowpoke and thats like right at the second gym and like 15 lvls in (if i were to use a starter). The main reason I want to have a psychic starter is for roleplaying purpose, I don't think it would feel legit if I leveled my HM slave/starter to like lvl 15-18 just to get a slowpoke. I thought about using abra as a starter but then I realised that abra/kadabra would be too easy (grinding him to 16 would be a drag though lol) I think where as ralts pretty much sucks till he/she evolves into kirlia/gardevoir.
