I'd like to join if it isn't too late. I thought this would be interesting for my gym leader character to come to this region and find out whats going on and help with the rebellion of sorts going on.

Appearance:
Lucas has a tall, slender body, 6'4" with a typical swimmer's build. His hair is just about to shoulder length, currently wrapped in a pony tail. It simmers with varying shades of silver. He has a bit of facial hair, a traditional goatee, but has a pretty youthful appearance. Many girls consider him pretty good looking with his youth appearance, shimmering hair, and bright blue eyes that seem to pierce right into you. He always wears brown sandals and light brown khaki shorts. He has a Forrest green polo t-shirt and proudly wears the Silver Star badge on the collar showing his status as a gym leader, and typical of any beach going youth, he wears a puka shell necklace. Over his shoulder he wears his seagreen messenger bag. In it are many supplies, most geared toward water types specifically, he normally kept a lot of PokeBalls in it containting some of his gym Pokemon. However, it currently only has one of his Pokemon in it.
Personality: Lucas has always been a pretty serious guy. He only has a few friends, but those relationships mean everything to him and are very close. However, he is generally pretty independent and works alone. Although he can be a bit goofy when he really gets close with those around him, very few have seen this side of him. He has a fairly sarcastic/cynical demeanor, but means well. He is kind, just takes on this cynicism more as a form of humor but it often gets misunderstood for being stuck up. He cares deeply about the well being of others, and is very respectful of women.
He is very in tune with his Pokémon and has a vast knowledge of water Pokémon.
Background: Lucas grew up in a foster home and had to fight hard to earn all he has today. He had a great life, that of a typical child, but just had a slightly different family situation than most. Being raised in a small village, Pokemon were not very common. There were a few trainers and a few that kept them more as just pets. Pokemon fascinated Lucas very much, especially water Pokemon as the village was in a mountainous area where rock/ground types were more common. When he was old enough to start out as a trainer, he bought a Staryu off a traveling Pokemon Trainer/Merchant in a nearby city. He had saved his whole life to start out with a water Pokemon, he didn't care much to train too many other types.
After years of mastering techniques his lineup grew, and after raising many water Pokemon (his Staryu even evolving into the beautiful Starmie) few rivaled him in his region in the area of water Pokemon and was given the opportunity to receive gym funding after winning his region's Pokemon league using only water types. Since he was about 17, Lucas has been leading a gym in a fairly little known region far from Kanto, though similar to it.
Additional Information: Lucas stumbles into this situation unknowingly. He is currently on vacation from his gym duties while a friend watches over the gym for him. Leaving all his Pokemon at his gym except his Starmie, Lucas was just looking for a nice place to retreat to for awhile and get away and possibly challenge some of the local gyms in the area to a 1v1 battle. He had heard about the Katsu region a few years back, he had been challenged by many trainers from this region that fought hard, many of them even besting him in battle. He hoped to meet some people from the region and maybe see some exotic Pokemon that are native to the region.
Lucas however was unpleasantly surprised when surfing into town on his Starmie. People murmured and pointed as he recalled his Pokemon. When walking down one of the streets he saw the remains of a Pokemon Center being bulldozed away. Signs outside of the building stated the end of Pokemon being allowed in the region.
He was going to leave the town. He was getting ready to swim out to the water and call out his Starmie when he saw a group of authorities ganging up on a group of Shellder, rounding them up from the waters and treating them very poorly. He decided to stay and figure out why this was being allowed.
However, Lucas' eventually get's lost where he finds himself looking on at the current group around the Gym they were all about to use.

The last RP I did here was "Pokemon Dimension" it was a blast and loved it, it was back in like 2004 and lately have been wanting to do this again.
"Starmie spun violently at Deoxys pummeling his head which was followed by Shep throwing a can of tuna that was inside his backpack. Shep's Seadra gave him a 'your pathetic' look, "What? Every bit helps," Shep smiled, a more serious look came on his face as he saw his Starmie being blasted to the wall by a Shadow Ball. Shep reached to his backpack and pulled out a Great Ball. "Seadra smokescreen!" Seadra nodded and smoke came from its spout and surrounded Deoxys. Deoxys sensed Starmie and Seadra's water guns and blocked them effortlessly, but was caught off gaurd by Shep's Tauros as it rammed its horns deep into Deoxys' body....."

Personality: All Starmie are fairly mysterious, but they all share the desire to protect their trainer. Starmie is no exception to this. Starmie has a bit of a psychic connection in that he can help transmit his emotions to humans.
History: Purchased from a merchant when he was young.
Additional information: Starmie is Lucas' most powerful Pokemon, it is his oldest but that doesn't make much of a difference in a Pokemon like Starmie. Starmie is known back in Lucas' region for being a titan of the gym Pokemon in the region. But any seasoned trainer can overpower it, Starmie is just pretty crafty moreso than powerful in regards to attack power.
