Audrey liked boats, she decided. After several long moments of stubbornly scrambling her way upward, she had made it to her current perch: on top of the bridge, the highest point on the boat. She had been up there since almost the first moment of their voyage, watching the land receding behind them. The deck was absolutely crowded, and as much as Audrey normally loved people, she found it even more enjoyable to sit above them all, feeling the sea breeze nestle against her and tasting its saltiness on her lips.

Even though she knew she could no longer see any land behind them, Audrey turned around and looked back anyway. It had not been long since her departure, and yet, it all was a world away.

"It's not like you to be so down." Keith reached out and ruffled her hair with one hand, like he had when she was little. "You'll be fine."

"Right." Audrey embraced him tightly. "I'll do my best."

"Keep smiling, little sis."

Audrey turned to face forward, noticing nothing but aquamarine ocean all around her. Time to stop looking back. She had already made up her mind. She was going to go through with this. For Keith, for her parents, for Sabey. Voices floated up from the bridge below her, knocking Audrey back into her normal mode of thought.

"How much longer until we reach shore?" That was Sabey. Audrey had no problem identifying her voice.

"Oh, not too much longer. I'd say about twenty minutes or so. Not any more than that." Audrey didn't know that voice. Probably the captain, she determined. Watching her dark-headed friend thread her way through the people below, Audrey jumped down from the bridge, tennis shoes flashing at the impact and bag swinging forward with the momentum. When combined with the motion of the deck, it just about knocked her off her feet. Recapturing her balance, Audrey wove through the Trainers gathered on the deck until she caught up with their leader.

"The sea is so pretty, isn't it?" Leaning forward over the rail until she was in Isabel's line of sight, Audrey smiled cheerfully at her friend. "C'mon, Sabey, whatcha so sad about? At least enjoy the trip there."

Marcus lined up a shot with the nailgun and fired, securing the final 2x4 to the doorframe. His boss, a short, condescending, but fair man shouted at him. "Hey new guy! Finish up, we're all leaving! I don't these tools sitting in the open all night!" Sighing, Marcus turned the battery-operated nailgun off and locked the padlock that prevented entry into the motley collection of bricks, wood, and metal that would eventually become a house. Noticing that the others had already slouched off to their homes, bars, or other distractions, Marcus set off towards his other job, which was basically opening crates at the docks and seeing that there was nothing illegal in them. Silently, he damned himself. He had no home, no other job prospects, no legal papers to live in Katsu, and worse, no Pokemon to capture. If he hadn't made a living capturing Pokemon, Marcus probably could've been re-made into a productive member of society. However, he got some kind of grim satisfaction from living on the fringe of society, wandering around doing whatever needed doing. He felt the faint heat radiate out from the three pokeballs he had hidden in his jacket lining. The bad thing about making custom Pokeballs- they tended to overheat, threatening to spill anything inside them out and into plain sight, and always at the most inopportune time.

By the time he'd jogged into the shipyard and clocked in, he was promptly dragged outside the docks by his supervisor, a chronically serious man named Miles. "Marcus… I can't have you working today." Brushing away Miles' hand, Marcus fought to keep his voice from degenerating into a primal snarl. "Why the hell not? I just work…" Miles promptly cut him off: "It's not convenient. I know your past, but the police think you're using this job as a front to let Pokemon trainers into the country. Get the hell out of here before someone sees you Marcus." Not exactly sure what his boss meant, Marcus backed up, taking off the neon-yellow vest that theoretically let people see him on stormy nights. "And head south!" Miles whispered after him. Finally realizing the danger he was in, Marcus turned and ran, heading for the nearest park.

As if the cops would find anything anyway. Most people would have died of starvation or dehydration by the time any ship docked. But maybe the police were hoping for corpses at this particular moment.

Upon checking that nobody was around, he pulled at a loose corner of his jacket lining and pushed three pokeballs out and into his outstretched hand. Swearing under his breath, he sorted through them until he found his Crobat, Shaka. Putting the other two back into his jacket, he climbed on the Pokemon's back.
"Come on girl! Let's find a new place to work."

Name: Sheila Gavrosh

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Appearance: 5'11", somewhat lanky build. Pale, peach-tinted skin; flushed pink lips and a heart-shaped face. Fairly muscular arms and legs; small chest and hips, but skinny midsection. Wears a skin-tight, pale, sky blue corset top with tiny black trim around the top seam, and a pair of fingerless "biker gloves" that match her shirt. Her legs are sheathed in her favorite, worn out, faded blue jeans that are ripped up on the front of her upper legs. They hug her legs, but bell out slightly at the bottom. On her feet are a pair of somewhat impractical, clunky black heels; they cover her foot like a pair of normal black sneakers, but just happen to have a thick one inch heel. Her ears are pierced and decorated with a large white hoop on either lobe. Sheila holds herself in a proud, unladylike manner, often slouching into one of her hips.

Sheila's pin-straight, thin hair is dyed a vibrant emerald green shade, and pulled back into a high ponytail with bangs loose on either side to frame her face. Her eyelids are decorated with strikingly heavy, punk-like makeup. This makeup consists of black winged liner across the eye and thick black lashes. A dark shade of green eyeshadow is smeared on the inner corner of her eye, and an electric lime shade covers the rest of the lid and stretches out past the corner with the wing of the liner. The rest of her face, however, is free of makeup.

The most unusual thing about Sheila, however, is not her makeup or hair: it's the fact that her body is covered in numerous Pokemon tattoos. A Dragonair winds it's head over the top of her left shoulder and around her neck, letting it's tail fall across her shoulderblade and diagonally down her back. An image of her Shiny Marowak graces her left shoulderblade; Raikou runs across her lower back, surrounded by bolts of neon colored energy. Rayquaza has it's tail coiled in a circle around her belly button, and stretches upward to peek it's head between her breasts and onto her clavicle, where it lets out a roar. An eevee sleeps on Sheila's right hand, snuggled in a bed of grass beneath the glove she wears. Zapdos wraps it's wings around her right upper arm with a Squirtle on it's back, and an Ekans winds it's way down her lower arm. Little lightning bolts of different colors spark all along her right arm to surround the picture. A shiny beedrill is depicted throwing an arm up her lower left arm, surrounded by a Poliwag, and a shiny zubat leaping into the air. On her upper left arm, a Phanpy trumpets gleefully. Flowers and blades of grass are scattered between the pokemon on the left arm, and a shellder sticks out it's tongue on the front of her left shoulder. On the palm of Sheila's left hand is a gulpin with it's mouth wide open. A chinchou looks up from the edge of Shiela's right shoe, it's antenna sticking up onto her ankle. Various water pokemon swim up her right leg with a background of water and ice, including Carvinha, Seaking, Octillery and Seal. A Slowpoke hugs her left leg tightly, as if it is afraid of falling off; surrounded by neon colored stars. Swellow, Pidgey, and Starly are lead by a triumphant Articuno to spread their wings on Sheila's upper leg leg and thigh, little swirls of clouds scattered between them. The tattoos that Sheila wears are all in vibrant colors, and must have taken many painful hours. Though only a few are visible, peeking out of or through her clothing, she is greatly proud of the work-- especially since she crafted a number of these tattoos with her own hands.

Personality: Sheila is very loud-- she speaks in a loud tone, and if someone begins to speak over her, she will shamelessly raise her voice to be heard over them. She also expresses her emotions and opinions in a way that can't be ignored, be they by shouting in annoyance or letting out gleeful "ow ow!" type noises. Sheila is very protective over others; particularly Pokemon and small children. If she sees a child or Pokemon being treated in a way that she sees as poor(even though her standards of "poor" can be different than those of others) she'll speak up immediately and butt into the situation. Sheila is quirky in that her moralities, ideals, fashion sense and concept of what is "normal" are different than the majority: she sees nothing wrong with dressing in outrageous clothing, hair dye, and tattoos. The world is a canvas for artwork, in her mind. Sheila is also kindhearted and gentle; she acts very motherly toward Pokemon or younger trainers (sometimes to their annoyance.) While Sheila acts rough around the edges, what with her brash way of speaking and body language, that kind heart always shines through to those who deserve it. Unfortunately, Sheila is so confident with herself that she has a bad habit of being painfully honest: if someone asks "Do I look fat?" and they do, you'd better bet she'll say "Yes!"; and if she thinks someone is doing something stupid, she'll point it out in a heartbeat. To make this even more of a problem, Sheila is easy to agitate and get into an argument with, even over stupid disagreements. However, she never truly means anyone any harm-- even if she's shouting at them. Sheila is very extroverted and comfortable in her own skin; the opinions of others, when it concerns her at least, are of no significance. While all of her other emotions are quite open, Sheila has one that seems locked away: it is near impossible to make her cry, and only the most upsetting of events have this potential. The only one to have seen her cry would be her Pokemon, Marrow. Despite her blunt nature, Sheila has a very kind heart.

Background: Sheila grew up in a calm, but restricting, household. It was the sort of house that was distressing to live in, but not "bad" enough for her to feel worthy of making a real complaint. At home, Sheila was not allowed to be herself-- don't slouch, don't be too loud, you mustn't cry for crying is misbehaving-- and felt caged in for the majority of her childhood. Her hair was a boring shade of dirty blonde, her skin untouched by tattoos, unless she would dare to draw on herself with marker. She grew up fascinated with Pokemon, and would spend hours in her room drawing them and hiding the drawings beneath her bed. Pokemon, however, were a forbidden subject, like witchcraft. Sheila's mother and father had a distinct disliking for Pokemon-- viewing them as dangerous creatures that should not be tampered with, and all should be removed from society-- and when her Mother came to clean her room one day, when Sheila was fifteen, she found the stash of Pokemon drawings.
There were hundreds of them, and they were beautiful. They had grown in beauty over the years so that the earliest were pleasant crayon drawings, and the newer seemed like photographs etched onto the pages. Sheila's parents had never guessed that those art supplies she had kept bringing home were to draw more than just the plants in their backyard.
Sheila came home that night to a bonfire of her drawings, her parents standing before them with straight faces.
She ran into the woods nearby, collapsed on a pile of crisp autumn leaves, and cried, where she knew no one would see her-- where she knew it would be safe. She cried so bitterly and heavily that it attracted the attention of something she had never met before.
"Bone...cubone, bone?"
Sheila felt a slight tap of something hard, like a bone, on her shoulder. She lifted her head, stringy blonde hair all stuck to her face from her tears. Her eyes went wide as she looked right into the eyes of a real, live Cubone-- the first Pokemon that she'd ever been able to see in person. Sheila sat up, shaking, and stared at him; her hands on her knees, sniffling to try and cease her crying.
"H-Hello?" She asked, hesitantly.
Cubone reached for one of her hands and patted it consolingly. "Cubone. Cu,"
Since that day, Sheila snuck out of her house to the forest to search for the Cubone; and sure enough, it returned every day as well. Just three days later, Sheila realized that her house was not a home, and left her family without saying goodbye. She bought a Pokeball with her savings, and went to the woods again before leaving; where Cubone awaited and gracefully accepted capture. Sheila from then on, with Cubone's help, became herself for the first time; she laughed as loudly as she wanted, wasn't afraid to slouch or be rude, and began to draw her Pokemon all over again: eventually transferring them onto her body, that she might never lose the images that fascinated her so deeply.

When Katsu began to export Pokemon and the PXS surfaced, Sheila had the misfortune of finding out personally that her parents had joined the organization. They didn't recognize her-- perhaps didn't care, if they did-- when they tried to take the Pokemon of a whole town Sheila was passing through. Even though she was by then a more powerful trainer, Sheila was barely able to help that courageous town rebel against the government and throw the PXS back and help the town keep their Pokemon... for a few days. She left the region and went to Johto when the Katsu region continued their exportation. The entire time, Sheila prayed that the new Katsu ideals would go away, and vowed to train to become strong enough that her Pokemon would not be taken away if this new exportation idea spread to other regions. When the PXS unveiled their wicked plot, Sheila vowed to train to overthrow the PXS and keep the joy that is Pokemon from being taken from the people forever. Now, that day has come, and she has joined the Uprising with a determined and happy heart.

Additional Information: Is very protective of others, with what she calls her "Mama Bear" instinct.

RP Sample: (Okay, this one is from a private roleplay about an escape from a genetics lab with my boyfriend. It's going to seem pretty out of context, but hopefully it'll work!)
An experiment grumbled in his cell, his arms and legs secured to different cuffs in the wall. It left him looking like a large X, and suspended about six inches from the ground, with only a foot between him and the back wall of his cell.
Only a little sliver of light came in from the window placed in his door.
At the moment, he was muttering about how dinner was late, how he was going to kill those scientists when he got the chance, and some business about that they'd be in even more pain if some girl he seemed to care quite a lot about wasn't getting fed on time either. He raised an eyebrow, however, when he noticed obnoxiously loud mechanical noises coming his way, then saw the top of someone's head through the window in his door.
Aeron sighed. Just that robot again.
"Please prepare to cover your hearing devices." Frei rattled.
"Look, if you're gonna stand there and bug me, you'd better have brought something to eat!" He snapped. At least Crow could have programmed that bucket of bolts to talk like a normal person...and how could he cover his ears, anyway, when his arms were stuck in the wall? Ridiculous. "Just go away! And tell those scientists that they can--"
Frei interrupted. "Error. Cynical data does not compute,"
Aeron blinked. What was that, some kind of insult...? There was a brief silence, then a sort of whirring noise from Frei. Another silence, followed by some hydraulic noises and the sound of gears grinding; then, next thing Aeron knew, with the most horrible noise he'd heard in awhile, the imprint of a fist smashed into the door of his cell, the metal contorting around half of Frei's arm.
The door fell forward onto the floor of the cell with a smash, a part of the doorframe falling out sideways. Frei stepped over it and walked over to Aeron.
He immediately began to squirm.
"Augh! Don't kill me! I'll take it back, I swear!"
Frei looked at him blankly, her eyes making some scanning noises, and she proceeded to walk over to the wall near Aeron's left arm. She pulled back a fist dramatically.
"W- What are you doing?!"
"Please cease all uncooperative functions. I will crush your restraints so that we may follow the selected evacuation procedure accordingly."
Before Aeron could even think on what she'd just said, Frei smashed a hole in the wall, so that the restraint keeping Aeron's arm in place came loose. She then went to release his other limbs, ignoring his statements of both enthusiasm and nervousness with her smashing things so close to his body.

Five minutes later, Frei was leading Aeron out of his cell. He was stretching and walking around quickly, obviously eager to leave. He turned to run toward the door of the jail room, but was quickly grabbed by the back of the neck by Frei.
"Please cease all uncooperative functions. Five subjects remain on this level."
She released him and began trudging over to the next cell. This one was different than the others; there was a weird electronic box on the front of the door, and it had no windows. Also, Frei detected high levels of heat and humidity coming from inside the room.
Anyone else might have been careful with all of the obviously complicated(and important) technology on the door, but Frei pulled back her arm and smashed the door down, trudging inside the cell. As the door fell, some blindingly bright lights flickered off, and hot, moist air wafted from inside the room. Frei detected that the moisture was not at a hazard level for her(of course, seeing as she was already in the room, it would have been too late by now) and glanced at the ground, where what looked to be a large pile of vegetation was lying.
Aeron looked curiously into the room behind her. "Huh. So that must be where they get the crappy vegetables for salad when they give it to us. But I don't see any point in taking nasty food with us--geez, why are you gonna kick it?!"
"Negative. Kicking involves high force. Proceeding to...searching for term. Found. Proceeding to 'poke'."
Frei was currently standing on one leg, her other leg pulled back dramatically. If she was going to poke, it would be certain that whatever the thing was would feel it.
The pile of vegetation moved a bit.
"Wait wait wait wait," Aeron said, rushing in, and at the command Frei lowered her foot again. The pile of vegetation moved once more, a few vines lifting it up. It made a soft groaning noise as if waking up from sleep; Aeron moved around to see that all he and Frei had seen so far was the experiment's back. Now that he got a better look, it wasn't a pile of vegetables, but a highly mutated person, who was now staring at him, blinking.
"You are not a scientist." The plant pointed out, in a voice that was hoarse, but sounded like it would have been pretty if it wasn't so sickly.
"Nope." Aeron said. "This robot is helping us leave. She said something about some weird birds, or something, helping us get out."
"Oh." Said the plant, indifferently. "You should not waste time trying to take me with you. I'm not going to last long, anyway."
"Please proceed with evacuation." Frei rattled.
"You can't stay or anything." Aeron pointed out. "You look, err...fine. To me."
The plant tried to shake her head but couldn't very well. It was hard to do when her neck was made out of wood.
There was a brief silence, then Frei said,
"Proceeding to force pessimistic subject to evacuate. Initiate three second warning. Three."
"What are you going to--?"
"One." Frei leaned nosily forward, bending down to her knees, before picking up the plant in her arms. The plant let out a weird squeak.
"What happened to 'two'!?"
Frei ignored Aeron, tilting the plant upward, and dropping her so she had no choice but to catch itself with the vines coming out of her waist. The plant wobbled and almost fell over, but managed to catch herself and hold herself up.

Appearance: Shiela often paints odd designs on it's shell and head, usually in Lime Green. Currently, he sports some circles on his limbs, a big green G on his tummy, a circle pattern on his back, and a curved green line under each of his eyes. The paint is a new attempt at "waterproof" that Sheila is testing, though it tends to wash off after a bit anyway.
Personality: Protective, Stubborn, Easily Agitated, Conceited.
History: General is the second Pokemon that Sheila ever caught. She found him as a Squirtle in a pond while exploring with Cubone. After an epic and tiring battle, Squirtle was captured. Name: Klaus Shady
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Appearance: 6'4", with very a broad torso and shoulders. Very large hands with a little bit of hair on them. They are very worn and leathery from working in the garden tirelessly. Klaus has reddish brown hair cut in a short, unremarkable style with sideburns. Slightly tanned peach skin; murky greenish brown eyes that are flecked with bits of brown. His eyes are deeply set, which makes them cast a shadow on his face. Klaus has thick eyebrows, and a fairly chiseled, angular face. His chin is covered in a light layer of stubble, but he always makes sure to shave above the lip, for fear of growing a 'stache. His arms are very bulky and strong looking, particularly around the upper arm and shoulder. Klaus wears a long sleeved, button-up shirt with the first button undone. It buttons down the middle, and is very nice looking, with decorative hand-carved wooden buttons. The shirt is a dark cranberry red color, or the color of dull red leaves in the autumn. He wears a pair of dark, brown-ish jeans, with a pair of brown suspenders hanging off of them. He has a red bandana that matches his shirt on his head, tied in the back. He also wears a dull pair of hiking shoes. Due to his tall height and wide shoulders, Klaus can often look intimidating, but a closer look up at his face shows a sort of unshakeable kindness in his eyes and expressions. He always looks gentle, and his center of gravity is fairly connected to the earth. Klaus never makes sudden movements, for fear of startling others.

Personality: Klaus is very introverted and enjoys spending a lot of time by himself, or at least with his Pokemon. He enjoys quietly grass Pokemon more than anything. It is hard for him to grow accustomed to the company of others or to work well in groups-- not at all because he is hard to work with, but just that he can get overwhelmed or pushed around if there are too many people. Klaus is extremely gentle, treating even the smallest plants or bug Pokemon with great reverence. He is very patient with others and nearly impossible to anger; someone has to be doing something truly despicable for him to form a grudge against them. Even the children who picked on him as a kid are seen as simply misunderstood to him. Despite his calm, earthy nature, Klaus can be a bit of a worrier, but usually about silly things like if his Pokemon will like their food or if they'll all get lost and starve to death while on their journey. He is very fond of children and baby Pokemon, but gets nervous around them and is usually too scared to touch them for fear of hurting them on accident somehow.
Background: Klaus grew up in a very calm, happy household-- so calm and happy that it felt abnormal. His parents were loving and encouraging, and always tried to help him "spread his wings" to get going in life. As a child, they encouraged everything that Klaus did, and tried to help him make friends. Unfortunately, Klaus was an unbearably shy young'un, and even when met with children who were kind to him it was hard to get him to talk. He didn't show much interest in playing games, getting the best grades, or gossiping like the other kids did: but what did fascinate him, more than anything, was Pokemon. He grew up around his mother's Jynx-- who acted as a nanny to him, at times-- and his Father's Sunflora. While he loved Jynx, Klaus was extremely interested in Sunflora because of its ability to absorb nutrients from the sun, and well, move. At the age of five, Klaus found that he loved studying the differences between Sunflora and normal plants like vegetables, always striving to find out what exactly made them different, and what made them the same. Sadly, this odd obsession caused him to get picked on by some of the other kids in the town-- he became known as "that four-eyed kid always crawling around in the dirt and staring at Dandelions all day." The only girl who didn't pick on him was a younger girl named Sheila. While she did not take particular notice of him, Klaus never forgot how whenever kids would be saying mean things to him as he dug through the weeds, this small blonde-haired girl would politely tell them that they were being rude and to kindly go away. She would then smile and Klaus and go on her way... a smile he never forgot.
When he turned ten, Klaus's parents joyfully surprised him with the best gift of his life: a Growlithe puppy. While at first he was confused as to why they had not gotten him a grass Pokemon, like a Bulbasaur or Chikorita, he soon realized that his parents had given him the best friend he'd ever had. Growlithe was excellent at helping him dig up new plants to bring home, and even barked at grass pokemon that were hiding so that Klaus could see them for a split second. He growled at kids that teased him, and would run in circles when Klaus was bored so that he would laugh. Training with Growlithe soon proved to be even more fun than looking at plants, and sometimes he would see that Sheila girl watching the Pokemon from afar and taking notes...though he never got the courage to talk to her.
When the Katsu region began to export Pokemon, Klaus and his entire family were appauled. By then, Klaus had caught and studied a number of grass Pokemon, and couldn't believe how someone would want to take away such gentle creatures that made the world so beautiful. It seemed so wrong that it had to have been downright evil! Right away, Klaus used up his savings to escape to Johto with his parents. When the news of the corruption of the PXS broke out, Klaus journeyed back into the region he had hoped to avoid with his Arcanine and other Pokemon to try and make the world a better place.

Additional Information: Klaus has some back problems from being so tall and is not very good at running/easily winded.
Has a secret love for Sheila even though he hasn't seen her for years, but he is far too shy to express it. Klaus also likes to make Pokemon food and treats from different herbs and plants.

Spr_4h_059.png

Breed: Arcanine
Gender: Male
Moves: Flamethrower, Bite, Roar, Fire Fang
Personality: Protective, Gruff, Friendly, Self-Confident, Patient, Loyal, Energetic, Fatherly
History: Klaus's first Pokemon. Arcanine loves Klaus more than anything; he is his best friend in the world and the most wonderful human he could ask for. He does everything he can to make Klaus happy...even if the Pokemon food he gives him is often too, eh, healthy for his taste.

Spr_4h_003_f.png

Breed: Venusaur
Gender: Male
Moves: Vine Whip, Solar Beam, Razor Leaf, Take Down
Personality: Laid-Back, Cranky, Loyal, Competitive
History: Venusaur was Klaus's second caught Pokemon, whom Growlithe found hiding in some shrubs. It was much more energetic when it was younger and has gotten a little bit cranky in recent years.
Additional information: It enjoys long naps in the sun, and is annoyed by energetic Pokemon...though a lot of that is because it is jealous.

Spr_4h_043.png

Breed: Oddish
Gender: Male
Moves: Lucky Chant, Stun Spore, Acid, Absorb
Personality: Shy, Cowardly, Naive, Crybaby, Worrier, Devoted
History: Klaus pulled up an Oddish in the neighbor's garden one day while helping pull weeds and cut the grass. Oddish was evidently hiding from other Pokemon (such as Growlithe), but took a liking to Klaus. The kind elderly lady who owned the yard told Klaus that he could keep Oddish if it wanted to stay with him...which it did.
Additional information: Especially fond of the Elderly. Terrified of Carnivine.

Spr_4p_455.png

Breed: Carnivine
Gender: Male
Moves: Bind, Vine Whip, Crunch, Wring Out
Personality: Rough, Dark Sense of Humor, Cunning, Troublemaker, Malicious, Hot-Headed
History: Klaus got Carnivine while vacationing six years ago to the Safari Zone to investigate the many kinds of Pokemon there. He found this somewhat rare specimen and captured it in hopes of studying it, unaware that it would be such a handfull.
Additional information: It very much enjoys scaring Oddish and whatever other Pokemon would be gullible enough to think it would eat them!

Spr_4h_182.png

Nickname: Bella
Breed: Bellossom
Gender: Female
Moves: Attract, Double Team, Bullet Seed, Grass Knot
Personality: Conceited, Friendly, Gentle, Competitive, Spoiled, Optimistic, Flirtatious, Show-Off, Jealous
History: Bella was caught as a Gloom. Because Klaus loved her so dearly and saw her as so beautiful even as a sad, droopy Gloom, Bella was able to evolve into a lovely Bellossom. Bella loves to dance, and unfortunately was treated a bit too well as she has a serious ego going on. She thinks that she is the smartest, prettiest, and best of the Pokemon in Klaus's party. After all, they're all dumb guys!
Additional information: She gets jealous when Klaus gives too much attention to other Pokemon. Or, well, when attention isn't on her in general.

Breed: Skiploom
Gender: Male
Moves: Sleep Powder, Synthesis, Leech Seed, Tackle
Personality: Laid-Back, Introverted, Gentle, Kind Hearted, Absent Minded

"Com'on Com'on Com'on! Dammit!" Chris sprinted down the down the GoldenRod docks, doing his best to dodge the crowd. He let out a sigh as he reached a break in the mob, and he forced his legs to move faster. This kind of stuff always happened to him. Even when Elm let him borrow (*Cough*) a jeep to get himself here on time, he still managed to be late. The bellow of a horn sounded across the docks, signaling the last boat for Katsu was leaving.

"Ah F*** it." Chris again cursed (much to the dismay of the family of four he passed), pulling Haru's, his Swellow, Pokeball off of his belt. In a blinding flash of light, Haru was flying alongside him. "Haru! Let's go!" Chris jumped onto the bird-Pokemon's back, the Pokemon returning the favor by speeding off., Chris had reached the boat as it was just leaving the docks, leaping off Haru and onto the deck. "Nice flying, Ace." Chris grinned. A smug look filled the Swellow's face as he was returned to the Pokeball.

No sooner had Chris done so, a man, probably near the middle of his life, sprinted up to him expertly, despite the rocking of the ship. His whitened moustache matched the white hair on his balding head, covered up by a conductor-ish blue cap. A pair of old bi-focals covered up his beady eyes.

"Excuse me. After an entrance such as that, you are required to give me a ticket."

Without a word, Chris reached into his raincoat's pocket, pulling out and giving a boat ticket to the man. After inspecting it for a moment, the old man returned the voucher. "Very good. But next time, please arrive on time. And just to be making sure, you know you're headed to Katsu, right?"

"Uh… Yeah." Chris replied, shoving the ticket back into his pocket.

"…Because there is a strict no Pokémon policy. And " The man glared through his glasses, his beady eyes narrowing. Chris's hand fell onto Haru's Pokeball. Suddenly, the man let out a hearty laugh. "Don't worry. I'm a Johto native. Couldn't disagree more about what's happening there." He glanced around, gesturing to some of the stares the two were receiving. "But there are other's on this boat besides us. So have a little discretion." As quickly as the man first approached Chris, he was again off, leaving the trainer standing there. "Anyways! Have a nice trip!"

After a few moments, Chris let out another sigh, slouching as he walked over to the side of the boat. He looked back, just watching the Goldenrod metropolis slowly disappear on the horizon.

Chris reached under his jacket, clutching his left shoulder. A nasty scar had been tattooed there last time he visited Katsu. He hoped he wouldn't get another one. Although, the start he was off too wasn't a good sign.

Sheila gripped the bar on the side of the ferry with both hands, leaned toward the ocean, then rocked backward and tilted her head up toward the sky, letting out a magnificent yawn. It was such a yawn that it could be heard over the calamity of voices nearby; a yawn that drew her thin pink lips to their most stretched out, rounded shape. The yawn ended in a sigh, and Sheila let her head drop forward again, rolling her lips together and then popping them as if she'd just applied a coat of chapstick. She glanced from the corner of her eye as an old woman gave her a strange, judgemental look; a gesture that she returned with an intentionally unsettling grin.
The old lady hurried on her way.

Sheila gazed down into the beautiful water one last time, then straightened up. She placed her hands on her hips, then leaned backward from her lower back, letting her spine pop, before reaching her arms above her head, then returning them to her sides. Sheila reached for her shoulder and adjusted the strap of her backpack on her shoulder; it was an obnoxiously bright shade of red, and decorated in various marker drawings of Pokemon. Inside the bag were a number of supplies: a medical kit, packed with guaze, band-aids, aloe extract, and a few other miscellaneous first-aid supplies; extra Pokemon food; Pokeballs, though she wasn't sure why exactly she was bringing them; make-up, a skimpy change of clothes to sleep in, and a small blanket. Her six Pokemon, being too important to her to be anywhere seperate from her body, were tucked safely in their Pokeballs, with three in each pocket of her jeans.

Sheila looked out at the mass of land approaching, and could feel the restless energy of her Pokemon against her legs. She, too, was nervous; though it was pretty well impossible to tell, what with her calm yawning and stretching.

Sheila slouched into one hip slightly. She heard the laughing of some children behind her, and wondered if they realized that the life in Katsu awaiting them would be a sad one devoid of the joy that was Pokemon.
For their sake, she would succeed. There was no other option.
"I'm ready," She whispered, her lips just barely forming the words. Sheila smiled. From what she could tell, her Pokemon were, too.

"...Mommy, but I thought you said big girls didn't draw on themselves?"
"Ssh! Jane, it isn't polite to point! And those are tattoos, not...well, you can't get those either-- stop pointing!"

Sheila looked over her shoulder as a young girl being drug past her. She gave her the same deranged looking grin that she'd shot at the old woman, causing the child to raise an eyebrow then hurry off, giggling.
The Mother was less amused, but eh, in Sheila's book, it was a mother's job not to ever be amused.

"Eh...wha?"

Clyde looked around. He was on a small tow boat. "But how did I?..."

"Oh...you're on a small towboat, The Seaslug. You jumped off of that ship in the distance," explained an old woman that was apparently nursing him back to health. "What's your name, sweetie? You do remember it, don't you? Because you took a nasty bruise to the head." At this point a man came out of the cabin.

"Marla, how's our guest faring? Oh! I see that you're awake. I'm Eustace Mason and this is my sister, Marla," explained the man. "Anyway, what's your name?"

"Um...your sister just asked me that. I'm Clyde Levi Winters, but my friends call me Levi," Clyde(or Levi, rather)explained. "I jumped...oh, yeah. Um...I'm...headed to Katsu. Are you going there to?"

"Yes, as a matter of fact, we are. We're only fifteen minutes from shore. Where are you headed there?" asked Eustace. "We kinda have to go to a specific town."

"Not that it matters. 'S long as I get there. Well, thank you so much! I didn't plan on this, I planned on swimming. The least I can do is help you during my stay on the boat. Slate! Naomi! Eton! Francine! OUT!"

The four Pokemon startled the old siblings.

"Pokemon are not allowed in Katsu," said Eustace. "You're dead if you're caught with them."

"I know. And I don't care. I'm fighting against it. I don't care if I gave it away. I'm proud of it!" said Levi.

"Yes, you should be!" said Marla. "I want to fight it too, but I can't because I'm too old..."

"You're never too old to fight. But, we're here. I'm sorry, and thank you, but I have to go." said Levi.

And with that, Levi jumped off the ship and ran across the beach.

While Isabel was never one to longingly look back on pleasant memories, she never hesitated to reflect on bad experiences in order to try and make sense of them. This time they focused on her older brother, Trent. It's not as though how he ended up didn't make sense. After all, Trent wanted to keep his Pokemon, the PXS would allow him to do so, therefore he would join. But it was still unsettling... She had gotten over the fact that she was now fighting against her brother, having determined that she would kill him without hesitation if he got in her way again. But the fact that someone who knew everything about her was working against her was enough to make her nervous. It had been a mistake to let him live, but she wouldn't make the same one twice. Weakness wasn't an option anymore. The last thing he had said to her still stung a bit, having been driven deeply into her based on his knowledge of her psychological anatomy.

"Same old Is," Trent said with a smirk. "Thinking that she can change the world with a ragtag team destined for failure."

"The sea is so pretty, isn't it?"

Isabel struggled to restrain a sigh, not even needing to look in order to identify the speaker. Audrey always radiated a sort of happy energy that radiated toward everyone she came in contact with, an energy that the Uprising members had jokingly referred to as her "aura of happiness." Well, at least back in the original Uprising. Audrey's happy aura was the last thing Isabel wanted to deal with right now.

"C'mon, Sabey, whatcha so sad about? At least enjoy the trip there," Audrey pressed, forcing Isabel to look at her smiling face by leaning over the railing.

Isabel clenched her jaw and struggled to push back a snide comment, knowing that Audrey was one person she simply couldn't ignore. Even if she was completely ditzy and had obnoxiously high amounts of energy, she hadn't done anything to deserve losing Isabel's friendship. Regardless of how little it was worth, Isabel was one of the only companions she had left. Isabel didn't have the right to take that away from her as well.

Isabel turned to face her with a forced smile, surprised at how foreign it felt on her lips.

"Oh, I'm enjoying it, don't worry," Isabel said, attempting to make her voice sound bright. "I'm just a little... tired, y'know? All of this planning and recruiting... Just kind of takes its toll after a while."

Trainer

Name: Paul Stevenson

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: At one time Paul was a short, skinny boy who wore thick framed glasses. If that was the Paul you knew you wouldn't recognize him today. His job's often involve manual labor and as such he has bulked out a lot. Lean is a fair word to describe his build as he sits comfortably between the extremes of skinny and muscular, maybe tending slightly towards the skinny side. At five foot eight he isn't really tall but he is no longer short for his age. His blond hair, which he keeps short and neat, has darkened to almost brown. He regularly has a slight stubble as he only shave every few day, that makes him look a little older than he is. During most the day Paul wears contact lenses, but sometimes chooses to wear a pair of light framed glasses instead. His natural eye colour is blue, however since he wears contact lenses he can disguise this with cosmetic lenses.

While traveling Paul will normally wear a pair of green combat, simply for the number of pockets, available for storing stuff, despite this he still never seems to be able to find an empty pocket to put anything in. Along with this he will wear either a plain t-shirt or a black tank top and he carries with him a blue backpack. Paul has a red and gold trainer belt that belonged to his dad, it was a gift for his tenth birthday and as much as he treasures it he has found that he can't hid it under his shirt as well as he used to so keeps it in his backpack. Also included in his usual attire is his work wear, which includes a pair of grey gloves with blue rubber on the palms and fingers to help with gripping. Also while working he wears a pair of steel toe caped boot's instead of walking boots that he would wear normally and a bright yellow high-vis-vest.

Personality: Since the events of Frosty Gorge, Paul has changed a great deal, during the build up to the battle he doubted that he could be of any use to the Uprising, with that in mind he has dedicated himself to training in an attempt to prove, to both himself and those around him, that he is able to help. The desire to prove himself has made him some what inpatient as he is always eager to take up the next challenge, this may prove to cause problems if plans require a long wait as he is liable to disregard instructions if he thinks his plan of action would be better or more importantly quicker. Mainly due to the death of Sue, who Paul had a crush on at the time, Paul now no longer aims to simply remove the PXS from the Katsu region but to also get revenge for the attack on Frosty Gorge and the other pains that they have caused him and those he loves. Despite this Paul is quite good at masking his feelings as he has been living quite a lonely lifestyle with few friends or people he really trusts. His lack of trust in others has led him to depend only on himself and his Pokemon who he treats like family. Inside Paul is really no different to the young boy he was three years ago, simply his way of looking at the world has changed due to the events that took place and the extend isolation he has suffered, from lack of contact with his family in Katsu, during his exile.

Background: Paul has lived in the Katsu region all of his life. Together his mum and dad used to run a small Pokemart, but it was taken off of them when the new law came into action banning all Pokemon. At school Paul was frequently picked on, one day after school a group of bullies decided to follow Paul through the woods on his way home and beat him up. However a wild Scyther intervened, scaring the bullies away and following Paul until he was safely home, this was Paul's first meeting with Slash, his future Pokemon partner. For the next few months the Slash kept an eye on Paul, but always ran off whenever other people came near, over time the two of them developed the beginnings of a bond between master and trainer. One day after school Paul found Slash outside his house, heavily injured, Paul took a Pokeball and Slash allowed him to capture him, so he could be healed. After that Slash followed Paul every where as his Pokemon. The news that Pokemon were to be outlawed devistated Paul, Slash had become like an elder brother to him and the thought of losing him was unbearable. It was a hard decision for Paul to make but he decided to run away from home, it was the first time Paul had been away from home. Before he left he called by the Pokemart and stole as much equipment as he could carry, after all it was all going to be destroyed any way. At first he planned to go to a different region but he soon realised that he would not be able to make it past the borders, there were too many bounty hunters about. Paul tried to avoid cities where ever possible so that Slash didn't have to stay in his Pokeball all the time, which he hated. From trainers Paul met on the road he heard rumors of an uprising, between them Paul and Slash decided to join and help fight for there friendship.

Paul during the Uprising RP summery
Spoiler:

Graham gave Paul all of his Pokemon and sent him out of Katsu to Hoenn by boat. When he reached Hoenn Paul began life as any ordinary trainer would, but was plagued by the memory of the events of Frosty Gorge. Unable to concentrate on being a trainer he tried his best to improve himself and earn his right to help the Uprising when the time came. He worked as much as he could doing odd jobs to earn as much money as he could, which included as much physical labor as he could manage. Heading from place to place he worked on improving the power of his own Pokemon and soon found that he could travel around safely with out the need for his Dad's Pokemon. After a while of traveling he reached Fallabour Town where he met a band of ninjas, who he spent a month with learning the basics of martial arts, stealth and survival. On the last day with them they took him to Mt. Chimney where he caught his Weezing, Bio. After leaving them he headed to Meteor Falls to catch a Swablu in hopes of training it into the powerful dragon Pokemon Altaria, which he eventually managed. After this he found a construction job in Slateport, where he worked and trained until he was contacted by Isabel to rejoin the Uprising.

RP Sample: I will add one if you need one :)

[Here's a JP from Sacred Beo and I. Enjoy! :)]

"Attention passengers: we have arrived at Katsu. Please make sure you have all your belongings, and mind the gap. We hope you enjoyed your travel with us. 'CLICK!'."

Greg stood up and stretched, picking up the 'guitar' case and slinging it over his back, "About time." He quickly approached the ramp, jumping onto the pier before the workers had time to set it up properly. He breathed in deeply. Now he was back home, and this part of Katsu seemed as nice as ever. At least whatever happened, he was off to a good start.

"Wierd..." Greg said to himself looking around, "Ah well, maybe I'm just the first one here." He slowly walked across the pier, taking in the sights.

Beo was laying back in the sand feeling the breeze rush off the ocean waves and across his face. He heard the faint sound of a boat off to the left of him and looked over to see a bunch of passengers getting off. One of the passengers stuck out to him right away.

The passenger was one of the members of the uprising from back at frosty gorge. His hair was shorter now, however he grew quite a bit over the last few years. This aggravatated him considering he was a few years older but was shorter then alot of people. There was no mistaking him though it was Greg, Beo hadn't seen him since a moment back in the trenches during the incident against the PXS.

"Might as well go say hello, i'm sure Isabel told him I was coming" Beo whispered to himself standing up and walking towards the pier. He slowly walked up behind Greg who was taking a look at the sights.

"Wierd..." Greg said to himself looking around, "Ah well, maybe I'm just the first one here." Beo crept up beind him and tapped him on the left shoulder.

"Heya Greg!" Beo yelled waiting for Greg to turn around.

Taken by Surprise, Greg spun round and met face to face with another person. He must have been from the Uprising if he knew Greg. But who... then it stuck.

"Beo! How's it going? Man I wasn't sure if you'd made it out of Frosty Gorge or not!" Greg exclaimed as he held out his hand.

"It's going man, and yeah I barely did" Beo exclaimed reaching out and shaking Gregs hand, and taking his other one to his stomach where the bullet had gone through. He hated thinking about that. Immediately he snapped out of his day dream and back to the conversation at hand.

"What have you been up to for the last three years besides growing?" Beo said sarcastically eyeing up the taller Greg.

"Besides that, heh..." Greg looked at Beo again. Last time they met had to look up to Beo slightly, now it was the opposite. Had he grown that much? "I've been in Sinnoh for three years. I even took the gym challenge," Greg patted the pocket his badges were in, "and above all, spreading awareness about Katsu and training to be stronger."

Greg looked at the case on his back, deciding to keep the fact that he was quite the sniper hidden for now, "What've you been doing?"

"I spent the last three years in Johto, originally looking for my parents but mostly I just trained and traveled. It seemed alot of people in Johto were blinded to the fact of what was really going on here" Greg nodded in response. Beo felt underneath his vest where his small sword was hidden, he didn't know wether or not to bring that up.

"Oh yeah hows Blade doing?" Beo asked remebering the grovyle from Greg's team from the battle they had.

"Oh!" Greg said, fishing out the premiere ball from his pocket, "Well, thing is, he's not 'Blade' anymore." Cracking a small grin, Greg tossed the ball to the floor, and as it hit, it released a large green reptilian.

"Tile!" the lizard snapped, crouching into a battle stance.

"He's called Syle now - and I guess you can see why," Greg explained, "He lost those weird red colours when he evolved. To be honest I think all green's better. More natural if you get me." He faced Beo, "What about your pokemon? How's Blaze - oh, and Wags too?"

Beo looked over Greg's Syle and noticed how much more powerful it had become since Frosty Gorge.

"He looks a lot more powerful too! And oh Blaze is doing better, his wings have healed up since Frosty Gorge, as for Wags" Beo grinned grabbing a pokeball with a water symbol from under the left side of his vest and tossing it to the pier ground.

"Wrath!" Wags exclaimed appearing in a beam of light from the pokeball standing in front of Gregs Syle and pounding his fist together.

"Yeah he evolved into a poliwhirl about a year and a half ago, once I came upon a water stone in Johto it was an easy decsion" Beo said trying to make his grin bigger then Gregs.

"A Poliwrath? Wow..." Greg said to himself. Both Syle and Wags were eying eachother up, and Greg had a moment of inspiration.

"You know," he said to Beo, "these two look rearing to go! It might be a short while until the rest get here - and I'd like to see how three years of training has worked out!" He took a few steps back, motioning Syle to stand in front of him.

"How about that rematch?" Greg said as Beo grinned and nodded to Wags, who immediately jetted off towards Syle cocking his arm back.

"Now Dynamic punch!" Beo ordered.

"Wrath!!!!" Wags hollered swinging his fist for Syle.

"You never said not to start" Beo shouted to Greg smiling, it had been a long time since the two battled.

"Detect!" Greg commanded, caught slightly by surprise at the sudden start. Syle's eyes glowed blue as it swiftly leapt above Wags just before impact, causing the Poliwrath to smash its fist into the wooden pier. Greg felt the shudder of the attack go through his body - if Syle was hit by that then he was in trouble,

"Land with a Leaf Blade!" In midair, the blades on Syle's arm glowed green and formed into one large, curved blade. The grass-type did a full body turn, swinging the blade down towards Wags.

"Wags use bubblebeam quickly to conceal yourself!!" Beo shouted as Wags started sparying bubbles in the direction of the oncoming leaf blade attack. The bubbles did what they were meant for as Syle struck down through them and sticking the blade right through the wooden pier.

"Body slam!!" Beo ordered as Wags jetted into the air spreading his arms and legs in free fall hurredling faster and faster towards Syle.

"Syle get out of the way!" Greg shouted. Syle, however, had cut through the pier with his blade. He only just managed to pry it free before Wags crashed on top of him. Syle buckled under the force and was layed out flat on the deck,

"Sceppp!!" He creid in pain,

Greg clenched his fist, "Free yourself with an Energy Ball!" Syle turned his head, meeting face to face with the Poliwrath before opening his mouth and forming a glowing, green ball of energy.

"Wags no!!" Beo yelled while covering his face with his arm as the blast from the energy ball collided into Wags and recoiled back at himself. As the smoke cleared Beo looked on to see Wags down on one knee, he was beaten but not down.

"Wrath!!" Wags uttered slowly standing to it's feet once again pounding it's fist together like a boxer.

"That's what i'm talking about, now Wags let's do this! Bubble beam then charge at Syle!!" Beo ordered with a grin on his face hoping the plan he developed would work.

"Okay Syle, Detect!" Greg shouted. Syle got to his feet and his eyes turned blue as he jumped back out of the Bubblebeam path. However, the thick stream of Bubbles remained, and Wags was nowhere to be seen.

Greg's eyes widened as he realised Beo's plan, "Syle! That Bubblebeam was meant to conceal Wags! Keep an eye out!"

"So you figured it out eh? Too bad it's too late!" Beo saracastically shouted as a big grin grew on his face "Now Wags: Dynamic Punch!!"

"Poli!" Wags shouted jumping out of the bubbles with his arm cocked back, it began to glow as he swung it down straight for Syle.

"X-Scissor!!" Greg quickly shouted, thinking as quick as he could. Each of Syle's four arm-blades began glowing white aswell as increasing and sharpening.

As Wags' fist shot forward, Syle brought his arms up in front of him, causing both attacks to collide. Both Wags and Syle stood there fighting for ground, each pushing as hard as the other to land their attack. Syle's back legs began to slowly grind across the pier floor, while Wags' seemed to be pushing in, slowly breaking it.

With a final push and roar, Wags' glowing fist broke free of Syle's blades, shooting forward and smacking the reptillian in the chest - causing another powerful shudder. Syle cried out in agony as he was hit with the force of a cannonball, his body thrown backwards and onto the deck. His blades ceased glowing and, with an effort, he got back to his feet.

Greg stood in awe for a second. Eventually, he grinned,

"Okay, enough's enough. I'd say that's a win for you Beo!" He held out his premiere ball and retrieved the Sceptile, "Wags has come a long way from that small Poliwag we saw way back then!"

"Thanks Greg, same with Syle! PXS better look out!" Beo said softly so know one else could hear. He then congratulated Wags on the win and encouraged him before returning him to his pokeball.

"By the way Greg I think that makes us one and one in battles" Beo smiled trying to rub it in a bit. Greg snickered,

"Seems fair." It was then he caught sight of a small boat in the water,

"Looks like the rest are here." He said, anxious too see some old faces - aswell as some new ones.

[OOC: If anyone wants, they can see some of this battle upon approaching the docks :D Other than that, job done Beo! *Hi-five!*]

Raikiri and Wolf's JP

(This is a JP by Raikiri and I and is a lot better than the JP above us xD jk maybe)

"Finally." Chris groaned to no one in particular, disembarking the ship "I'd thought we'd never get here." He glanced around the docks, noticing a few other ships had arrived here as well. "Then again, where is here?" With a confused look, he looked feverishly left and right before letting out a sigh, slapping his hand on his face. "Man, I can already imagine being the last one there or even missing out on everything completely. Wonder what Is would say about that… And I should probably stop talking to myself."

CRASH! Moments after he finished speaking to himself, Chris felt a large mass collide with his back. Chris spun around and much to surprise, saw nothing. "Must've been some wind," he muttered to himself continuing on with his daily life.

"Owwwww," something groaned. Chris spun around again, more diligent in his search this time around. It wasn't the air. It wasn't a person, or at least no one at eye level. Chris looked down to the ground. Lying there was a body, dressed in clothes typical to that of a trainer. Jeans, t-shirt, jacket. The archetypical male trainer outfit if there is one. Only difference: the trainer had no face. Just a map covering his head. "Did anyone get the license plate of the truck?" the talking map asked.

"Just missed it. Sorry." Chris responded with a lick of sarcasm.

A face emerged from the map. It was a young man with a confused, almost lost expression on his face. "Oh, sorry about that. I wasn't paying much attention to where I was going." The man leapt from his feet, landing almost perfectly except for the minor loss of balance as he failed to stick his landing.

"Ah, so the boat brought me to the right place then. The Kazoo region, right?" Isaac asked with enthusiasm.

"Katsu."

"Bless you."

Chris sighed. "Thank yo...What? No! This region is called Katsu."

"Bless you again. You should really get that checked out. You might be allergic to something."

"I am not sneezing! I am correcting your pronunciation. It's Katsu, not Kazoo."

"Really? But this map says---"

"Forget the map!" Chris interrupted, snatching the map from Isaac's hand and tossing the frail paper to the winds. "Its Katsu. Say it with me. Kat-su."

"Cashew."

"Katsu."

"Kazo."

"Katsu."

"Katzo."

"Kat--" Chris began. "You know what? Forget it. You need something?"

"I was trying to find some meeting place for something called....meh...no way I'll avoid mentioning the name so I may as well say it now...The Uprising. Ya know where it is?" He asked, dusting off his clothes.

The mention of the supposedly secret organization made the hair on the back of Chris's neck stand on end. Was the man PXS or government? Could they have found them so quickly? It didn't seem very likely, especially since the man had said it so openly. Then again, that could be part of his strategy (albeit, it was a bad one). But, they were supposed to get more forces and recruits to replace the ones they had "lost". Whatever the case, Chris was wasting time.

"Um... Yeah. I was headed there myself. Follow me." Chris motioned for the man to follow him as he winded through the crowd, looking back a few times to make sure the man did so. Chris wanted desperately to find out the man's story, but waited, thinking of a plan. Through streets and back alleys the two traveled; it almost seemed like they were walking in a giant circle.

As the duo journeyed through the streets, the man pounded his fist onto his hand almost randomly, startling the ever tense Chris. "Sorry, didn't mean to stir ya up. I forgot to introduce myself. After the fallout of our little accident, it must of slipped my mind. My name's Isaac. Isaac Rendell if ya wanna be formal, but formalities are for government goons."

"I'm Chris, Chris Eaton."

"Nice to meet ya," Isaac smiled. "Um...by the way, Chris. Are you sure you know where you're going. Seems we have been going in circles. Unless the Katuu region is designed this way. With such a weird name, it would almost make sense," Isaac laughed, not being serious on any level.

Before Chris could respond, a crash echoed through the streets.

"That didn't sound normal," Isaac commented. "I dunno about you, but I think we should check it out."

"Right. It sounded like it came from that pier. I'll lead the way." Chris pointed to the wooden structure before taking off towards it. Chances were, if a battle was happening, the rest of the Uprising would be there too. Chris glanced back at the man following him. But before that, he would have to find out who or what Issac was: a spy, or a true member.

All of a sudden, Chris took a sharp turn into a back alley.

"It's a shortcut! Com'on!" Chris beckoned, darting into the dark, abandoned alleyway. A little ways in, Chris slowed down to a stop and he could hear the Issac's footsteps do the same. A cold gust blew down the alleyway, rustling Chris' jacket and hair.

"Before we go any farther..." Chris spoke, without even looking at Issac." I want to know... You're really in the Uprising, right?"

Without warning, Ryuu, Chris's Gligar, swiftly swooped down from above, landing forcefully but gracefully on the man's shoulders, placing his right pincer around the Issac's neck and holding its tail above him, ready to strike.

Chris turned, looking directly into Issac's eyes. Another cold, rough gust of wind blew down the alley, ruffling Chris's hair and coat again. Suddenly, his stern demeanor turned wild, and a grin fell over his face. "Because... I'm here to kill them all!"

"Suddenly, I fell less comfortable," Isaac gulped. This kid's good, though. I never noticed him release his Gligar. I guess I let my guard down.

Chris walked towards Issac, closing the distance between them. "Don't even think about moving, or Ryuu will slit your throat where you stand." To this, the Gligar grinned expectantly.

"Gar Gli!"

"So... Tell me everything you are and everything you know. And try to keep your head."

"Well, Chris...you can stand down. And please get rid of that creepy smile. Freaks me out." stated calmly and sincerely not expecting him to listen. "As far as what I know is concerned, I don't know much. Some guy recruited me when I was traveling through Sinnoh a year ago. He wasn't very talkative so I only got the jist of what happened here...umm 3 years ago was it? Evil group oppresses innocents, outlaws Pokemon and other crap like that. I don't really understand it all that well. It's not like I was there when it happened. At this point, all I know is I want to stop as much as the next guy. Now, as far as what I 'am', I'm your typical trainer who is trying to the right thing (and maybe find a higher calling while I am at it). I got a decent team too if that's at all interesting to ya. Now before you gain any more bad karma from interrogating an ally, I'd advise you get your Pokemon off my neck."

Chris had half a mind to say, 'or what' but the last thing he wanted from this recruit was a fight, and decided against it. He had him in checkmate anyways.

Chris shook his head, placing his hands on his hips. "Calm in the face of death, gotta admire that. Well, It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it'll have to do for now. But, watch what you say, some of the others wouldn't take that response to well. I, on the other hand, may just be too trusting." Crossing his arms, he nodded to his Pokemon. "Alright. Slice his- I mean, Keep following us, Ryuu, and stay out of sight."

"Gligar" The Pokémon responded, disappearing almost instantly with its agility.

"Ok." Chris turned and walked down the alleyway. "Let's go check out that noise. And by the way, watch where you use the word 'Uprising'; according to the government and PXS, we're not exactly 'welcome' here. "

The two could hear the shouting long before they reached the base of the pier.

"Now Wags: Dynamic Punch!!"

"Poli!"

"X-Scissor!!"

A smile fell over Chris's face, and he suddenly sprinted down the pier. "Hurry up, Issac!"

Within moments, they had reached the piers end and saw what was happening. Beo and Greg stood at the end, seemingly just at the end of a battle. Chris couldn't help but grin.

"Hey guys, you ought to be more careful where you battle." Chris snapped his fingers, and in a blink of an eye, Ryuu flew up from under the pier, landing on Chris's left shoulder. "...cause now I want one too." He let out a sigh and shrugged. "But, I suppose I can wait until later to score some revenge on Greg. Seriously, I can't get over that battle..." Chris walked over to the two, all the while, Ryuu balanced on his shoulder, eyes closed and arms crossed. "Damn, Greg. You sure have grown... Anyways, what have you guys been up to?"

Rayna's Arrival

Rayna awed at the region below her -Well I can see why someone would want to have control over this place, its beautiful- she almost instantly realised that sentence wasn't something the residents of Katsu would take too kindly to. She was on the back of her Honchkrow with Chimchar pushing its small round face into her shoulder, it was scared of tumbling off of the flying type Pokemon, something to be expected from her innocent fire type.

"Chimchar, were almost ready to land okay, you're completely safe with me" Rayna told her Pokemon in a soothing tone, it didn't work as well as she'd hoped when Chimchar shook its head.

Rayna quickly assessed the possible landing points down below, they were certainly limited due to the various open spaces. -I don't like the idea of getting into trouble as soon as we land-

Her thoughts were slowly becoming more negative with every circle Honchkrow took, Rayna was circling the skies which probably wasn't the best idea she'd had since Pokemon were strictly forbidden in this region. "Okay Honchkrow, lets go in for a landing just like we practised back home" Rayna took a deep breath and tightened her grip slightly around the clump of feathers she was clinging too, landing definately wasn't Honchkrow's strong point.

Honchkrow slowly began to descend towards a small alleyway that looked appropriate, it looked like it had just enough space for her Pokemon to land comfortably. She was right, Honchkrow slowed to a stop and Rayna jumped off with Chimchar cradled in her arms like a new born baby before placing it on its feet.

"That was perfect Honchkrow, I'm so proud" Rayna grinned stupidly before putting it back into its Pokeball. -Now for the hard part-

"Chimchar!" Rayna said almost shouting, she turned enthusiastically towards the small orange Pokemon that was smiling up at her, "Remember what I told you about Katsu"

Chimchar scratched its chin motioning that it was trying to remember, Rayna had a sneaky suspicion that it knew exactly what she was talking about.

Rayna sighed, "You know exactly what I mean Chimchar... its only because I don't want anything to happen to you" Rayna bent down so she was face to face with it. "Do you want to know a secret?" This peaked Chimchar's interest, it took a step towards its trainer with an expression that showed it was listening intently. "Well... I'm not supposed to tell you this but you are my favourite Pokemon in the whole wide world" Rayna used the type of voice teachers used when they wanted something done. Chimchar's eyes widened greatly as Rayna finished, it suddenly felt a lot more important.

"So, will you please get into your Pokeball so nothing happens to you?" Rayna concluded. Chimchar thought for a moment and then nodded excitedly, Rayna sighed in relief and patted its head.

"Char Chim Char!" Chimchar replied, "Return" Rayna said as she held up Chimchar's Pokeball.

-Right, Pokemon are safe, I've arrived at Katsu and now... I need to find everyone else- she thought to herself as she looked around, she decided to head back towards the pier since she thought she saw a small group of people around.

Levi kept running south because that's where he knew the meeting place was. "Oh, right. Everyone, in your PokeBalls!" As he returned Naomi, Eton, Francine and Slate, he noticed that his destination was not as fa from him as he thought. :Southern tip, right off of Chipper City, little dock... I see it!" He gasped as he saw only a couple of people there. "That can't be the whole group. That's not the whole group. Man, whaddid I get myself into?" Levi wondered and wondered as he caught up to the group on the docks. "Uh, hi, I'm Levi and I'm here for the Uprising," Levi said, not knowing who this was...

Sheila inhaled the smell of salt in the air, closing her eyes and leaning peacefully over the ship railing. Her bangs wafted around her face in the slight breeze, and her eyes rather looked like a pair of delicate easter eggs while they were closed from the eyeshadow painted upon them. She missed the sound of Wingull in the air, and it made the pleasant scenery feel as if it were lacking something, like an unfinished painting.
The ship lurched slightly as it stopped, and Sheila opened her eyes. She looked toward the shore.

Katsu.

Sheila's relaxed expression morphed into a serious one.

She never would have dreamed that she would willingly return to a place where Pokemon were frowned upon. Yet, here she was: walking into it, aware of the risk, of the consequences. Sheila had even practiced with her small pocket revolvers before this mission had begun, to prepare herself for the violence that was rumored to occur here. She was no sharpshooter- but the fact that she had become somewhat skilled said much for a woman who never would have intended in her life to pick up a firearm. These two weapons-- restored, with the handles painted an electric yellow-- were things that she hoped not to have to use. More reliable, however, were her skills at fighting hand-to-hand; while she had no refined "style" or formal training, and didn't look like much-- save for the tattoos, which she suspected gave some sort of impression of "tough"-- Sheila knew how to brawl if it came down to it. She only had resorted to this a few times in her life, but each time she learned that keeping her body strong and determination was training in itself.

One of these instances had been when she helped a small town fend off the PXS some time ago. The other, a more recent incident, was when while traveling she caught a man trying to abuse his Pokemon. The man hadn't much appreciated her mouthing off to him, and their combined quick tempers went out of control until Sheila had pinned him to the ground into submission. The Pokemon he'd been abusing, a small Houndour that was taking too long to evolve for his liking, she took to herself to confiscate and take to a local Pokemon center, where she was told it would be given a new home.

Sheila patted her pocket for her Pokemon, feeling their curious, eager energy emanate from within their containers. They would need to be let out soon-- the long ship ride had made them rather stir crazy-- but she wanted to wait until it was safe.
After all, the idea here was to try not to get into a fight unless there was a point to it.
Sheila made her way to the dock, observing the people, the landscape, the faces passing by. She wondered who else was in the Uprising, and how she would be able to tell.

Well, that was easier than she had suspected it would be. At the sound of Pokemon's voices, and numerous crashes, her eyes were drawn to a battle that went on by the dock. She hurried over as discreetly as possible, wondering if this was a simple friendly battle, or one where someone's Pokemon would be taken away.
By the time she weaved through the crowd, the Pokemon were returned, and there were others there. She didn't know who they were, and despite being a newbie to the Uprising, she was compelled to speak up, in a "stage whisper"; just enough to be heard over the voices of the crowd. Sheila came up close behind the two trainers who had been battling.
"What do you two think you're doing? Do you want to have those Pokemon taken away?"

ooc: Hope the was alright! :3
BTW, LOVED the whole "Katsu." "Bless you!" thing. Made me giggle lots. I'm a fan of old fashioned humor. x3

"Hey guys, you ought to be more careful where you battle."

Greg tunred round at the voice. Not sure if he was about to get a telling off or what. However he grinned when he saw the speaker.

"...cause now I want one too." Chris let out a sigh and shrugged. "But, I suppose I can wait until later to score some revenge on Greg. Seriously, I can't get over that battle..."

"Great to see you too, Chris." Greg said with a laugh.

Chris walked over to the two, all the while, a Gligar balanced on his shoulder, eyes closed and arms crossed. "Damn, Greg. You sure have grown... Anyways, what have you guys been up to?"

Greg looked down to his feet. Was he a giant now or something? "Training in Sinnoh. I decided to take the gym challenge while I was there aswell. I mean, when I wasn't telling everyone about Katsu and stuff." Greg looked behind Chris and saw another guy, "Is he with you?"

"What do you two think you're doing? Do you want to have those Pokemon taken away?" Greg turned his head to see a young woman, slightly older than he was by the looks of it. She didn't look like she was with any government bodies.

"Cool the beans, can't a guy say hi to some old friends after a few years? Besides, we're in the South of Katsu. PXS don't quite have a grip of this place yet. No need to worry."

Beo sat back and giggled a bit realizing this girl was new to the uprising and must have been a bit nervous.

"Yeah we've been here before we wouldn't have engaged in such a battle if we didn't feel it was safe for us or our pokemon.... Anyways i'm Beo it's nice to meet you" Beo says putting a smile on his face and then turning back to see the first person of the uprising he had met... Chris.

"Oh and I was just training in Johto becoming stronger you know the usual how about you do any training the last three years?" He said elbowing Chris in the ribs sarcastically.

What do you two think you're doing? Do you want to have those Pokemon taken away?" Chris turned to the voice, only to see a fairly skinny girl, about 2 years younger than him, standing behind Greg and Beo. She wore a blue corset, fingerless gloves and a fair of faded out jeans.

Greg was the first to react.

"Cool the beans, can't a guy say hi to some old friends after a few years? Besides, we're in the South of Katsu. PXS don't quite have a grip of this place yet. No need to worry."

"Don't be such a worry-wooper." Chris sighed/added; the Gligar perched on his shoulder nodding in agreement.

"Yeah we've been here before we wouldn't have engaged in such a battle if we didn't feel it was safe for us or our pokemon.... Anyways i'm Beo it's nice to meet you" Beo said before turning to Chris.

"Oh and I was just training in Johto becoming stronger, you know, the usual how about you, do any training the last three years?" He said elbowing Chris in the ribs sarcastically.

"Let's see…" Chris began counting each thing he did on his fingers. "I beat the Hoenn league, the Kanto Battle Frontier was no trouble at all, the Sevii Islands was a great idea, and while helping Elm out, I just battled the gym leaders for fun. Sorry to say though, I didn't do much recruiting." Chris looked at everyone spread around the docks when suddenly, another recruit ran up to them.

"Uh, hi, I'm Levi and I'm here for the Uprising," Chris glanced over to see yet another recruit, roughly the same height as himself, if not a little shorter. He had on some sort of lab coat, as well as an orange scarf and yellow hat.

"…But it looks like somebody did." Looking out to the ocean, Chris continued on. "I think Isabel's boat is running a bit late, and everyone's getting restless…" Chris walked past the group a few feet, before he turned around and clasped his hands together, a grin falling over his face. "..So let's get this party started. Ryuu?" The Gligar on his shoulder nodded, taking a deep breath before letting out a harrowing screech attack, sending a shiver down Chris's spine as well as the other members.

"Now that I have your attention…" Chris said, talking over the ringing in his ears. "Welcome to the Uprising. I'm Chris Eaton, 2nd in command of the Uprising." He gave Issac a little wink before continuing. "I'm sure you all have your own motives for being here; whether it's for reclaiming your homeland, a "greater good" or even just fate...However, I don't care about any of that. You are here, because you care for your Pokemon, all Pokemon, enough you will protect them from anything that will come your way. And not only that, you care for the people of this nation, and give them the right to have this bond you have with your Pokemon. This place, the Katsu region, is one of the greatest places to show this. I'm not going to lie, this place is tougher than anything you have or will ever face. But, trust both in your Pokemon and your fellow Uprising members, and we will destroy both the PXS and the government, and Katsu, and all the people and Pokemon in it, will once again have peace!"

"Now, our first stop is Chipper City, about 3 miles east of this port. Resistance to this place is at a minimum, as most of the fighting is taking place in the north, so use this time to learn everything you can about each other. However, already, we have probably gained a lot more suspicion in these last couple of hours then we have previously hoped…" Chris quickly scowled at Beo and Greg before continuing. "…So, to avoid suspicion, we'll split up into two groups."

Chris pointed at two of the recruits. "Issac, and Worry-Wooper (Shelia), you're with me. The rest of you, go with Beo and Greg." Chris glanced at the two senior members "Think you can handle that?" Without even waiting for a response, he continued.

We'll meet at the fountain in the town center tomorrow morning. Believe me, you can't miss it." Chris mumbled before continuing onwards, "Until then, try not to get yourselves killed. That's the last thing we need…" Chris scratched the back of his head before setting off down the pier, waving back. "Good luck, and you two better hurry up. Ryuu?" The Gligar on his shoulder nodded/bowed before vanishing from sight.

Chris let out a sigh; they had a long ways to go. But was this the end of the beginning, or the beginning of the end?

(OOC: If you missed the meeting, don't panic. You can meet us along the way, meet some other recruits somewhere else, act like you caught the Uprising speech (and either catch up to Chris or join Beo and Zeph's group), be on Isabel's (Mira's Character) boat and meet up with her, or anything else you can think of.)

"Clyde Levi Winters...you're in for the challenge of a lifetime," Levi said to himself. "Why isn't Isabel here yet?" He started introducing himself and asking questions like, "Who do you think is the strongest here?" or "Why is he just going off seperately with those two?" Some just gave him small shrugs, some blank stares, and the occasion glare from apparent senior memebers. "Well...I guess nobody knows any of this stuff. Well...Alright. Whatever. I'll just do what everyone else is doing." Levi just resumed introducing himself, not truly knowing what he had gotten himself into...

At the moment the boat touched shore, Isabel was off, walking toward a group of people who had congregated there. While the main reason was admittedly to escape the peppy ramblings of Audrey, Isabel needed to make sure that the rest of the Uprising members knew that they had arrived. A handful of late recruits had set the ship behind schedule, and Isabel knew better than most how valuable time was.

She was pleased to find that the group held faces both familiar and not, and was almost pitifully small. A loud screech caught Isabel's attention and she snapped her head toward the source to find Chris standing in front of the group. He began to address the Trainers and Isabel felt the tips of here lip bend up slightly when she realized that he was giving them a speech. When his motivating words faded into instructions, Isabel turned back to the group that had stepped out of the boat behind her.

"Some of you go with those two over there," Isabel said firmly, pointing to Greg and Beo and the small cluster gathering around them. "The rest come with Chris and me."

Isabel turned and began briskly walking in Chris's direction, her lips turning up slightly again and a strange sense of excitement settle in her stomach. Upon reaching him, Isabel slid her arm around him in an awkwardly light half-hug and tapped her fingers against his shoulder.

"That was a delightful little speech you gave, Chris," Isabel said in an oddly bright voice. "Trying to rally the troops, hmm?"

"What?" Paul said groggily to what ever was waking him up. He opened his eyes to see the captain of Isabel's boat standing in front of him, he shut his eyes again when he fount the daylight too bright for him.

"Morning." He said in a sarcastic voice, then in a kinder tone he continued "Well we've arrived and your the only one left on board."

"Oh ok" Paul said yawning and sitting up "Thanks." With that the captain walked off obviously busy with something or other. His body ached from being curled up on the deck of the boat, at least I'm dry he though to himself. He was still wearing his work wear as he had worked over time to get as much money as he could for the last month before coming back to Katsu, that was the reason that he was so tired. Picking up his stuff Paul looked at the port they were docked in, it had been a long time since he had been in Katsu but Paul still had a lot of memories of the region. Some good, some bad, he though back to the last time he had been in Katsu, the night before he left Katsu for his three year exile, that night he had almost lost his own life, he looked down at his forearms where the scars once were. He left the boat and headed towards a large group of people, amongst them was Isabel and a few other people who he recognized from the Uprising, he chuckled to himself when he realized that he might need to be reintroduced to a few of them, as he was struggling to remember their names.

As he approached the group, well the Uprising, he walked straight over to Isabel, who seemed to have a fair few people around her, he waited for a suitable chance to speak to her.

"Hi Isabel," He began, he paused a second, unsure of how to go on " I'm Paul, do you remember me? I have a few things that I wanted to ask you, about survival and the plans and stuff." He continued, then waited for a reply.

OOC: Quick post is quick. Not great, but I needed to make one at some point.

The past several moments left Isaac in a notably awkward situation, as he felt out of place. Chris reunited with some of his old comrades and engaged in a deep conversation, all the while a stranger to everyone urged them to hide their Pokemon from the PXS. They rubbed her off and continued on their discussion of the past like old friends at a college reunion. Isaac wanted to put in some input, noting his own set of achievements and experience, but he didn't want to rub his hopeful new friends the wrong way. Plus, it wasn't really his style.

Following a painful screech attack from his demonic Gligar (in which Isaac holding his head for hours), Chris took center stage after a few moments. Welcome to the Uprising. I'm Chris Eaton, 2nd in command of the Uprising." He gave Issac a little wink, which confused Isaac to say the least. So he bumped into one of the leaders of the Uprising. It would explain his suspicious behavior of Isaac's intentions and his remarkable skill with his Pokemon. Looks like I gotta step up my game and impress the boss, Isaac thought to himself. Chris continued: "I'm sure you all have your own motives for being here; whether it's for reclaiming your homeland, a "greater good" or even just fate...However, I don't care about any of that.

Chris paused for a moment. "Now, our first stop is Chipper City, about 3 miles east of this port. Resistance to this place is at a minimum, as most of the fighting is taking place in the north, so use this time to learn everything you can about each other. However, already, we have probably gained a lot more suspicion in these last couple of hours then we have previously hoped…" Chris quickly scowled at his comrades, something that shocked Isaac. He gave off the impression he wasn't the easiest guy to get along with. "…So, to avoid suspicion, we'll split up into two groups."

The two groups became Chris' group and in a nutshell, the other group. All Isaac knew was he was a member of Chris' group for the time being and the stranger, who happened to be a woman near his age who was well built….and taller than them. "Why is everyone taller than me?" Isaac asked himself under his breath.

For the first time in some time, Isaac began to plan out his next few statements. He wanted to ask Chris several questions about the Uprising but that was exchanged for other plans.

A young woman came in and crashed Isaac's little party. She obviously new Chris very well, considering she hugged him right away and was very chipper.

"Well I'll leave you two love-birds along," Isaac jeered sarcastically, as he moved over allowing the two to speak as they wish. With great haste, Isaac made his way to the woman deemed the "worry-womper". She was clearly a canvas of body art, decorated with numerous tattoos. It didn't bother Isaac. In fact, it interested him.

"So you are a newcomer, too? You seem to be. I like your tattoos." Isaac began, firing random sentences like a child on a sugar high. "Name's Isaac. What's yours?"
