The Vampire Diaries

I don't think it's awesome, but it is part of my programs I take the time to make sure to watch! I think it's well produced, well edited, the acting is done rather well, the music is good, the storyline is good, and... well, everything is good, for the most part. What bothers me is how many ignorant people claim that The Vampire Diaries is copying Twilight, when The Vampire Diaries is based on a story written a great deal of time before Stephanie Meyer even dreamed of Twilight. To be perfectly honest, I find that Stephanie used a lot of the plot from The Vampire Diaries for Twilight.
 
It's probably my favorite new show from the 2009 - 2010 season. The plot moves very quickly, and it's very complex. I also like the way you can never be certain what's going to happen. Important characters die nearly every episode, so you can never be sure if anyone is safe, which I love. It adds quite a bit of suspense.

I usually catch myself saying "holy crap" at least once every episode. XD
 
I've watched some of this... but not much. I can say that it is ten times better than Twilight. Also... Twilight fans get a little annoying with rejecting anything vampire but Twilight.. especially the better things.

i like it for the same reasons. at first i thought it would be dumb but it got better so fast. im always saying what in every episode. im sad for anna now that pearl died. elena's mom is a little trampy we see in the preview.
 
I like that it's a more realistic portrayal of vampires (they burn instead of sparkle, for example), and that the plot is actually well-written.

wow this week's episode was nuts. i dont think bonnie did anything to the weapon.

I usually end up watching it because I'm waiting for Supernatural to come on. :P It's definitely a catchy show though, and if comparing to Twilight... it is ten times better. I'm no Twilight hater, but I definitely like the characters and plot better in this series.

I sadly missed the season finale though, I'll have to catch up eventually.

and with twilight and this show. the vampire diaires is better because it deal a lot more with vampires and the orginal ideas of them. but in twilight its a completely different look at vampires and it doesnt all deal with them though. so it terms the vampire diaires is better
 
Love the season finale of this show. Like they really work on it in a way that you are going to look forward for the next season. The last scene was really awesome, like it left me jaw dropped. I think this is one of those great that I'm gonna stick with. Got to watch Damon in action.
