The Wolf Among Us Mafia [Dawn Of The Ninth Day][GAME OVER!]

my reasoning was more the 'speculating on things that they aren't sure of, with what sounds like a degree of certainty'
I was asked what I thought, and that's what I think :P

It helps that I live with the GM and have watched her play TWAU, so I'm fairly certain about how things are set up. Most of it can be reached with simple reasoning as well, I just like to get to the point more quickly than "oops, in hindsight that was obvious."

And don't mind Johnny. He's just upset that I've yet to be proven wrong.

Whoops forgot about that part. Not a traditional granny, but effectively the same thing yeah. Never mind.

I made the same type of Granny role for Faeries & Legends last year, so I tend to keep it in mind.

I can understand why that would help, but with that knowledge, I think you are (maybe unknowingly) coming up with biased ideas based on the GM's take on the game. What you are seeing as simple reasoning, is nothing but pure speculation to people who don't live with the GM, a couple of people have picked you up on these because they haven't been mentioned in the OP or the thread. (jd picked you up on the stuff you said about the mirror not being available to us in the OP or any of the day/night posts.)

Actually, that mirror point was stated in a night phase, if you read it properly. The day we first used it, the mirror warned that someone was watching.

In the game, when he warns of that, he refuses the next question he's asked.

It truly was simple reasoning.

That isn't how I remember it, but maybe I picked different options so I'm not going to argue with that, some people here haven't played the game though, so we can't just base all reasoning on that either.

I haven't played it myself, but that's what I recall seeing, and evidently I was correct in making that assumption, so I'm sticking with it.

And when someone makes an observation based on the game, others may go and read up and try to verify it, or simply trust in it. It's not like I was telling them to do anything differently, I just warned them that it might not work based on my experience with TWAU. Ignoring points from the game because not everyone is familiar with it would be suicide, quite frankly.

I think that's pretty obvious, but a vague warning from the mirror and from what I'VE seen of the game, that's not enough for me.

Well it was enough for me and I was correct, buuuuut if you want me to stop presenting such ideas then okey dokey, will do.

And thank you kiyobae <3

Taking these points as granted and jumping into conclusions is not that helpful either. You cannot win on your own so you should share your train of thought rather than saying
"Look bitches here is how things are because this is how it is in the game, I'm self righteous as fuck trust me"
because it looks quite scummy, as you don't get to analyze and can therefore get away with manipulating information easier, and it's honestly been getting on my nerves.

Well, I only say it looks scummy, not that I'm scum reading him. Saying "you can't win on your own" kinda shows I townread Naku, if anything.
But that doesn't mean I won't voice my opinion.

I do share my train of thought when I make relevant points.

Some people just can't follow it, apparently. The rest don't read.

It may be cos I'm new and every time I've had an idea they've had something to say about it but.
I don't like the tone of Nakuzami's posts, sarcasm and speculating on things that they aren't sure of, with what sounds like a degree of certainty, just seems like a easy way to try and throw people off. (I didn't really want to say this as I'm very unsure and didn't want to pin anyone yet, but if I had to choose, that would be my answer.)

I can't see anything glaringly obvious. :(

who are you thinking jd?
lol this is Naku to a T.

I'll post a reads list later tonight probably, I don't have time to go through the thread right now.

Or maybe you took a shot at throwing the town off the trail and potentially lynching a townie, just saying.

But I got thrown away by your absolutely disarming comment of "that's how Naku is". A thing I'm well aware of, as I've played a dozen games with him already. On a night phase.

Johnny pls, you know how being straightforward af and brutally honest is, better than anyone.

Me when I think of Naku:

All y'all be fighting at my party when you should be dancing and kissing and getting me another shot.

Yeah right. What made me suspicious, according to you? If you mention the mirror then you're just out of ideas. You might as well just reveal yourself as scum. Of course you weren't sheeping along, you were trying to blend in ;)

It wasn't just the mirror, you were being stubborn as hell and not helping out in general, but whatever. But care to explain what makes me our "first priority target" then? Because it doesn't look like you can bring much more than a hunch and the fact I'm supposedly sheeping along. For that you need to whole bandwagon anyway, so what makes me more suss than any of the others?

Besides, there is a person who can confirm my innocence, and I suggest they may as well do so. You know who you are. ;)

Why should we trust Johnny, anyway? His initial wincon is with Vivian and Jordie. If he's not lying to begin with.

I don't think he lied in his claim. If he was mafia he would claim a power role, so he would give his teammates a good target in case he got cc'd and lynched.

But I don't think we can trust him. Bigby can't talk about his investigation results and he is throwing suspicion on me literally because I'm trying to pick leads.

Well, Johnny, direct confrontation is what I do, because I believe that forcing reactions is a good way to get a read on someone.
Yes, I've been aggressive and loud, and I will insist on my scumread on jappo. From overly silent he went to overly friendly after I confronted him. What do you make of that?
I don't even know about Desi's reaction, but being still alive after liking Bac's post probably shows that Lycan is just his scumread and not something he overheard, cuz I don't think Nimsy would be that kind.
And lastly, judging by Naku's calm reaction to my quite aggressive comment, I'm inclined to believe that he is on the clear.

If you have a better idea to generate leads I'm all ears. If you can somehow kill Vivian and free Zehn of his ribbon I'll be glad to follow you, but until then, I'll follow my own way.

I mean, he could be Vivian or Jordie. Nerissa would obviously not counter claim him then. He could then pass as a semi harmless role and wreak havoc relatively unnoticed.

Something to consider. In any case, I don't think he lied about it as of now, but we need to keep an eye on him.
