4th Gen The "WTF" Moment Thread

When I figured out that only attack from Misty's side that can hurt my Shedinja is Confuse Ray. Sweep sweep with False Swipe,Shadow Claw and Swords Dance.
 
This is ironic: Last Sunday (May 16th), I was playing HG with the GBP music on, and I ran into Entei along Route 35 and I was like "WTF?" for a second. An hour later, I played Crystal and encountered Entei on Route 35.
 
In pokemon Diamond, I spent about a week getting as much money to get ultra balls and raising my pokemon up to a high level, getting prepared to battle Dialga. The instant we battle, I threw a quick ball and instantly caught it. All that time and money.... completely wasted.
 
My biggest WTF moment in SS was when I was catching Suicune. I got it hp to about 1-3 hp. But it kept popping out the Ultra balls and heavy balls. I mustve thrown about 100 at it. And it kept attacking and attacking me. I was sooooo close to catching it, when it ran out of moves, used struggle, and fainted. I had spent so much time trying to catch it, and it just kills itself. Hahaha it has become a huge joke between me and my fiance who was watching me struggle to catch it. He says the Suicune was all "Mwhahahah you'll never catch me!! *Kills itself*"

I had saved the game right in front of Suicune, the second time I attempted to catch it, I caught it with no problem at all. ^.^

My second WTF moment is happening as I type this. I have groomed my Feebas over 30 times in Goldenrod City and Pallet Town, and when I level it up, it is still not evolving. It is supposed to evolve after leveling it after grooming it only 8 times. >:/
 
When I was catching entei,I used my jynx to Mean Look>>>Sing>>>Confusion.
After a few Sings and Confusions I tried to capture it with ultra balls.But,when I was about to capture it with another ultra ball,my jynx used Confusion. I was like,WTF just happend?!?!

Feebas can't evlove in HG or SS due to the contest states not being in the game. You have to traded it to Diamond,Pearl, or Platinum and THEN level it up.

Anyway,On SS, my Pychic type mono type team pretty much beasts.
But when I put them on PBR, all of the got 1-hit KOed by a chimchar.WOW. What?
 
so i named my weezing cancer... cause you know second hand smoke and all that jazz
so i talked to it once and it said "cancer is glowing with health!"

My Ampharos was fighting Misty's Lapras. It used Charge + Discharge, and left it with one hp. Misty used a Full Restore on it the next turn. :pink_disbelief:
 
This happened in Morty's gym. I was on the school bus for a field trip, sitting next to my best friend. I had brought my DS for something to do on the hour long trip. I was having serious trouble with Morty. I was on my 18-20th battle with him. I was battling his Haunter, but losing. The bus passed under a bridge (which was extremely long) with a ton of yellow lights on the ceiling. My friend screams "we're in a tunnel! Make as many wishes as you can!" (She has some truly weird superstitions) I halfheartedly wished to win this battle and to have good luck for the rest of this game. As soon as we're out of the tunnel, I kill the Haunter. I OHKO'd Gengar (gasp!) and his next Haunter. I was shocked. On the bus ride back, I was making my way up to the Lake of Rage and Raiku randomly appears. I threw a pokeball at it and it wiggled three times. It broke out, though, and I continued. I surfed up to the Red Gyrados and caught it with another pokeball without doing any damage to it. I have generally had good luck sience. WTH?!!!

Used all the Ultra balls.

Used a Pokeball.

IT'S CAUGHT.

Wtf?

I made a promise to myself never to buy rip off Ultra Balls ever again.

same thing happened to me XD
 
It was a big wtf when my Dragonite was taking on giratina in the disortion world and I pressed waterfall but it attacked with Draco Metor! WTF and poor Giritina died but I'm not stupid! Like the best trainers always save before taking an legendary.
 
Red kick my ass first time. My pokemons were lv 50~60, and I start to climb Mt Silver (wild pokemons lv 50~60 too), I saw red, I save my game and his 1st pokemon OHKO all my pokemons
 
Finding out that a repel does'nt work on a tentacool
me:i don't want to run into wild pokemon on the water route so I'll use a repel
tentacool: lets attack this trainer
me: AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps: is this a special ability of tentacool or was that just a glitch?
 
I don't really have a WTF moment, but my friend does.

On my friend's imported SoulSilver, he encountered Raikou and caught it in a Poke Ball at full health with no status conditions. After that, he took a few steps and encountered Entei for the first time.

We were like, WTF?!

This is only for HGSS Ya know.
 
Today I caught lugia with a great ball. Here's how I do it. I battle lugia with raikou and weaken him and then I use noctowl's hypnosis attack to put him to sleep. I was like wtf and woot.

lol.

I found out that I finished the first region in 5 days. I got all 8 badges. I haven't beaten the elite for yet though.
