Over the last few weeks I've watched snooker and indoor bowls tournaments. I bet you'd love those.

Shame my work schedule hasn't let me stay up and watch much yank sport in the last year. At least my holiday starts just in time for the Superb Owl.

38. The military sees pre-game flyovers as a relatively low-cost recruitment tool. Seriously. In fact, I think teams tend to pay the military to perform those flyovers.

I can't imagine they've had many people enrol directly because of a flyby but I suppose it's all a part of the positive public image. Suppose a few would have joined with the hope of being a part of the aerobatics squad down the line too.

Seen the Red Arrows and they were neat. More impressively I've seen RAF training over my city, even though the air base is fairly local I was surprised to see them so low. A Tornado flying overhead isn't the most pleasant way to wake up from an afternoon snooze.

42. Until literally every American TV ad aired during the game got posted onto YouTube ahead of the Super Bowl, people would watch solely to see how ridiculous and/or funny the ads got. Sometimes the heartfelt ones were the best, though.

Steep is a pretty nice game. There's a button that makes you shout EXTREME sound bites such as wolf howls and enthusiastically stating how good a day it is.
