Nope. It was 252 EVs is the MAX per stat. But, the MAX total EVs a Pokemon can have is 510 EVs. You are unable to go past 510 total EVs.

Examples:

HP: 252 EVs
DEF: 252 EVs

or

HP: 200 EVs
DEF: 200 EVs
ATK: 154 EVs

You can only have a MAX of 510. Only way to get past that amount would to be to use a Action Replay or some sort of hack or cheating device.
 
1. Get the national pokedex
2. Finish the national pokedex
 
Breed for 6x31 IVs and shinies. :D
 
Finish the trainer card
Compete in Contests
Battle Frontier like crazy
Catch all Pokemon
Shiny Hunt
 
Well if you consider beating the Elite 4 beating the game...
1. Go to snowpoint city and sail to the fight area.
2. Catch Heatran
3. Catch Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno
4. Catch Palkia and Dialga
5. Go to Canaclave City after getting the national dex and get Cresselia
6. Compete in the Battle Frontier
7. Catch em' all

Personally, my goal is to have one of every Pokemon (that I can possibly get anyway.. since events are kind of out of the question for me..), including all unevevolved forms and train them up to lv. 100. I've been working on it for a couple months now and it's VERY time consuming.
 
Catch all of the Unown forms? Beat 100 trainers in a row on the Battle-tower?
 
Fill the National Dex, get the event Pokemon when they're distributed, buy stuff for your Platinum Villa (surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet) and win Master Rank for all 5 contest categories.

I've given up on the Battle Frontier. That place is CPU Hax Luck City, lol.
 
You can adventure sinnoh using only the dowsing machine. if you havn't already, you will be VERY suprised at the number of items you find. In my platinum, all together i have found 25 rare candies and about 4 pp max's. i think theres a lot more in platinum then in D/P.
 
Level all of your Pokemon to 100!
