    What complete idiot goes into a section and rates nearly every thread one star? I'm not going out of line here, it's just really sad.

    I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before, but we certainly need to get rid of this rating system, it just makes new members get a bad impression. I haven't a clue why it wasn't removed before. But seriously.
     
    Yeah. Example "Who misses Dawn?" thread is full of messages saying that they miss Dawn and only one who say that he doesn't care. It's so stupid that that thread got only one star. It's because someone doesn't like it. And also other threads. Very annoying.
     
    I actually don't get the point of rating each thread with one, I mean if he doesn't like the topic he could have just leave the thread and he actually seems to be abusing it. Aaand for the most part, it looks annoying. :x
     
    Well one shouln't really judge a thread by its thread rating in the first place without looking, but I can see the annoyance. I know we got the FF&W section to have ratings removed a while back, and maybe another section had it removed afterwards... but there's little use in them in the first place anyways and just allows for that sort of spamage. Wouldn't mind them gone from the forums entirely tbh.
     
    We've have a rating system for threads? Are you serious? ;_; I have never even noticed this, so you can be safe to say that it will be feature that I won't miss. But at the same time, it isn't something entirely pressing; one shouldn't judge a thread based on the rating(and 1 rating at that) anyway. Either way, I am in support of this change as it is make people unhappy, but I haven't seen much about how it makes people happy, nor have I witnessed the benefits of it.
     
    The fact that I didn't even really notice it was there (or maybe I did, but I wasn't really aware of it), says that it might not be really needed that much. I NEVER look at the ratings and only cause you just pointed it out I noticed them. They were just kind of there, before. So I think it wouldn't be a problem if it'd get changed, if people hardly pay attention to them anyway.
     
    This has already been brought up on more than one occasion, but I agree with it entirely. Hopefully if some members of H-Staff read this and comment upon the situation, we should get some sort of resolution to this issue. Apart from in certain areas of PC, thread ratings are pretty much useless, unfortunately.

    You can't tell how many people have rated, unfortunately.

    But yeah the star system is only used to rate things down and then have the people who post there struggle to get the rating back up so I don't see a problem with removing it. Does anyone legitimately use it?
     
    As Mr. Cat Dog said this has been brought up before, and someone did the same thing this summer in Pokemon Anime. I honestly see no point in ratings if they are going to be abused like that. I find these ratings to be about as useful as Post Comments.

    And if you hover over the stars it shows how much people have rated the thread.
     
    I kind of agree. oxo They don't really serve any purpose as not enough people care about them, and all they really do is annoy what few people do care and provide a means to troll.
     
    I agree that thread ratings should be completely removed/disabled altogether. As they are not used all that often, they are not the best indicator of thread quality, and, as others have stated, the feature is subject to abuse (much like reputation).
     
    Um, I don't even bother with thread ratings. I just go on threads that interest me. If someone else only clicks on threads depending on how many stars it has, then... I don't know... Just ignore it? :T It's not a big deal. I mean, they could be removed if they have no point, I guess, but nothing would really change. Don't fuss over some little stars that mean nothing. :P
