This Is War
Rated: PG-16
Reason: Violence mostly.
Plot:
Once upon a time, Pokémon and people got along in unity and harmony. They once battled alongside each other, defeating people called "Gym Leaders" and getting stronger as they went. This unity went swimmingly for a very, very long time. It seemed like people and Pokémon were just destined to be partners. Then, in a simple matter of months, the entire peace between the two groups was shattered. Something that had been built up for years and years had been brought down so quickly, and it was soon that hope would be lost for those who believed that people and Pokémon could still be friends.
The event started with a man by the name of Alexander Chocia (pronounced Cho-see-a). He grew up in what one might say a bad background, always getting shunned by his peers because of his fascination with battling and Pokémon stats. He was widely known around his school as a nerd, and then one day he snapped. It was when he was sixteen years old that he began to plot the destruction of his school, using his Absol for help. Alexander carefully planned out each step, until finally he was sure his plan would succeed. That day, the school went down in flames, but so did Alexander. His Absol defended him, and therefore was attacked and destroyed as well. This kicked up widespread controversy. Was it right to slaughter the Pokémon when all it was doing was protecting its trainer?
Many Pokémon felt that no, this was not right. Lots of wild Pokémon soon began to disappear into hiding, becoming rather scarce should one try to look for and capture one. Also, even if one was captured, most often they would fight against their trainer's orders and disrespect their owner. This slowly but surely spread to the already tamed Pokémon, which wasn't a good thing at all. Soon the strongest of Pokémon were beginning to disobey and hate their masters, and it wasn't long before their masters hated them. Tamed Pokémon soon began to flee to the wild, breaking the bonds of their Pokeballs and disregarding everything they had previously known about humans. Finally the strongest person in the world, the Pokémon League Champion Markus Laughin (pronounced Lao-gin), lost the control of his Pokémon as well.
Hope was growing faint that the two species would ever work in harmony again. Soon the humans drew a council. It was between former trainers that had travelled far and wide, and then some. They discussed for many hours what to do about the current situation, because obviously they were not going to back down, and neither were the Pokémon. Finally it was decided. The only way was extermination, and that is exactly what they set out to do. The humans began to come up with weapons of war, most of which consisted of armor and swords. Some scientists did, however, come up with greater uses of technology to further their causes. Thus the Tamer Ball was created.
It is the only thing that the Pokémon truly fear, the Tamer Ball. This particular Pokeball will make anything obey that it captures. There are a few conditions, however. The capture (almost obviously) has to be successful. And the Tamer Ball can only be used once per Pokémon, so the first capture has to count or the Pokémon will be "dark" forever. The humans were ecstatic with this, and went around using it a bit too much. Already a few hundred Pokémon are forever dark, and if they are not careful, more will come. The only thing is that there are people who now have a new hope. That hope is found in the Pokémon Mew.
Mew, the only Pokémon no human has ever seen before, now holds the last hope to mankind. A message has been received through the minds of the greatest (or once greatest) psychics, and it is very clear. Mew wants the Pokémon and humans to work together in harmony once more, otherwise there will be no more of either. Mew is final in its word, and the people know they must do something to fix the mess that has been allowed to get worse. This Pokémon dwells in Mount Silver, a place that is crawling with angry Pokémon and obviously difficult to get to. The climate has changed quite a bit in Johto as well, so this journey will prove difficult.
Where You Come In:
You are one of the people that has been nominated by the people as a great (former) Pokémon trainer. The people believe that you can save the world, even though you might not be too sure of that. They have the utmost faith in you, and it would be a terrible thing for you to let them down. And, by the way, if you do let them down the world will be destroyed. But no pressure or anything. Along your journey, the Pokémon will be horrid and mean. They will not spare you if they get an opportunity to kill. If, however, you do manage to capture them…then they can be the start of a new era. Don't do anything stupid.
Setting:
The main event takes place in Johto. You may be from one of the other regions, but Mew resides in Johto and this is where it will all happen. You will start in New Bark Town, but there will be some changes in the course. This is no badge hunting journey; it is one to save mankind. Obviously you must be as efficient and quick as possible, less Mew gets tired of waiting. Johto is obviously not how it used to be. There is little sunshine, so don't expect rays of happiness beaming down on you through the journey. It's changed to a cold and desolate place of little trust.
Rules:
1. Please use proper grammar. I'm not going to even bother reading a post with IM/Text characters and chat.
2. Respect your fellow RPers and me, even if you don't like what I might have happen to your character.
3. Pie is yummy, remember that.
4. Being active would be lovely. This won't be a chapter thing, I don't think. I might just type up what happens to each character once they finish a specific segment, but I haven't decided.
5. Don't make a Mary or Gary, even if your trainer is supposed to be strong.
6. No godmodding. Not your right. 'Tis mine.
7. Have fun =3

Former Team: (Just list the Pokémon they used to have. You can give me their levels and move sets and all of that, but all I really need is a list of the six or less Pokémon.)
