This Is War

The Pokeball stopped shaking. Zero had his second Pokemon. He immediately realized that he was being entirely too loud; he could see a couple wild Phanpy's rolling towards him, and from above, a swarm of Gligars were getting ready to strike. Zero picked up Geodude's Pokeball and sprinted away from that terrible route. He would come later when he was stronger, maybe with a Pokemon who could Fly. He hurried back to the safehouse that separated the two Routes, took a moment to catch his breath, and continued back to the Route where he encountered Star. As soon as he exited the house, he knew he was in trouble. There were 3 wild Ratattas waiting for any trainer to exit. If it wasn't for Star's Quick Attack, Zero would have been mouse meat.

"Geodude, I know you're weak from the battle, but I need you to help Star out!" Zero cried, releasing his other Pokemon.

"Duuude" the Geodude nodded. It looked like it had already been rested enough to battle. Thankfully, he now had a Rock type Pokemon to combat these pesky Normal and Flying types that were around. This trip to Route 46 appeared to be paying off.

"Star, Geodude, use Tackle!" Zero ordered. Obeying, the two launched themselves at two of the three Ratattas. The Ratattas easily dodged the attacks, and responded by tackling Star. 3 Tackles was a lot for such a new Pokemon to endure, and Zero could see something was wrong with its wing.

"Star, are you okay? If you are, try using Quick Attack!" Zero said, a hint of alarm in his voice. The Starly dove forward at the Ratatta in the front, and connected. Unfortunately, that left Star open for another attack. The other two Ratattas dove at the poor bird, and hit it, one after another. Starly spun in the air, and fell in a crumpled heap.

"Star! No! Return!" Zero cried, returning the bird to its Pokeball. "It's all up to you now, Geodude. Use Tackle on the one that got hit."

Geodude once again flung itself at the hurt Ratatta, and it was too slow to dodge. Like Starly, it laid in a crumpled heap.

"Now, watch out behind you! Use Defense Curl to block their attacks!" Zero hurried. As the two Ratattas dove at Geodude, he squeezed himself into a ball. The two rats banged their heads against the rock, and fell over from the hit.

"All right, final attack! Pick them up and throw them into the air!" Zero commanded. Geodude grabbed them by their tails, and after spinning them over its head, flung them up in the air. The two Ratattas hit the ground, and did not get back up.

"Great job, Geodude! You did great!" Zero smiled, as he walked over to the Rock Pokemon and patted him on the head. "Come follow me, I want you to be my bodyguard. I started thinking, Starly has a nickname, so shouldn't you have one? How about we call you Titan. You certainly performed like one in that battle." Zero looked over at his new friend, and the Geodude smiled. Apparently, he liked the name. "All right, that settles it. Let's go Titan, I think I can almost see the city!" Zero said, smiling as he ran forward towards Cherrygrove.

Sacred Beo: Nice battle with the Nosepass =3 Chance grew to level 7! What a lucky number XD

myrrhman: Ah, bad Rattata, 3 on 2 XD But let's see...Star grew to level 7! Geodude grew to level 6! Oh! And Geodude is now Titan =3

....Ping!

Trent blinked down at the pokeball as it finally stopped wriggling. The crowbar that had been resting on his shoulders with one arm looped over it brought it seinging down so that it scooped up the pokeball and into Trent's awaiting hand. Finally, finally. Now he could start over, now he could begin his search for revenge and build a new team, a stronger team.

"Out," Trent ordered, holding the pokeball in his hand. It burst open in a flash where Snubbull reappeared, looking a bit disoriented.

"Bu," Snubbull grunted, rubbing the small mark where Trent had hit him. It gazed up at Trent, its eyes still holding intensity and strength, but that wildness that Trent had seen and wanted was now gone. With a snarl, Trent brough the crowbar back down on Snubbull. "Bull!" it cried out, yelping as it skidded back and growled threateningly.

"Good," Trent spat. "That anger, that wildness, you sure as hell at better keep that. What you felt before I captured you with this damn tamer ball... you sure as hell better keep that ferocity."

"Snuu," Snubbull growled, beady eyes narrowed as its teeth poked out from its lips.

Sneering, Trent pulled out his pokegear. "We need to get to the next town," he stated uneededily, "and I have no intention of staying on this path for long... ah, a short cut up Mt. Silver, Route 46." Trent gazed at his pokegear for a moment before slamming it shut. "Let's go."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

If one could remeber the glore of Mt. Silver and not have gone up the once beautiful mountain, they would think of beautiful scenery and powerful pokemon prancing about before running away to hide or possibly face an equally strong trainer with pride, but now there was no beautiful scenery and monstrous pokemon had blocked off the top of the mountain. The only way up there was through brute force, force that Trent didn't have at the moment.

"Well hello, hello," Trent sneered, gazing at a flying scorpion pokemon with contempt and folded arms.

Trent's gaze narrowed in on the smaller stinger, automatically realizing that it was female. "Ligar!" she screeched, diving down at Trent. Snarling, Trent dove at the ground, feeling the air right above his head and exactly where his neck had been. "Gli lig!" the she-scorpion snarled, eyes gazing at Snubbull with disgust. "Li!" With another shout of anger, she swooped in for an attack, this time aiming at the normal type.

Trent gave a nasty grin. "Charm," he purred.

"Bull snub!" Snubbull began clapping happily, shouting compliments up at the incoming flying type.

"Gl," Gligar blinked, unsure of what to make of all the flattery. Was she not attacking this beast? Or was it simply happy that she was aiming to kill its master. That was it! The poor beast had been enslaved and was wishing for her victory. "Gli!" Gligar shouted with glee, holding a single pintcher high into the air.

Rolling his eyes since he knew the Charm had worked, Trent barked out his next orders. "Jump on it!" he shouted.

Mouth shutting with a snap and therefore ending the flattery, Snubbull placed his hands on the ground so that he was on all fours and made a flying leap. "Bull!" Snubbull barked as it landed on the back of a shocked Gligar.

"Gli gli ligar gli!" Gligar shouted, trying to shake and buck off the offending pokemon, but Snubbull grabbed hold of Gligar's ears. "Lii!" Snubbull pulled back on the two apendages, causing Gligar to screech in pain as it lost control of its flight and crashed straight into one of the rocky cliffs that surrounded the dangerous route. "Ligar!" Gligar shouted in pain, tail coming up and pointing straight at Snubbull, whom was still on its back.

"Jump!" Trent barked.

"Bull!" Snubbull bellowed, jumping away from Gligar just as its tail glowed and unleashed a barrage of Poison Stings.

"Gli!" The poor flying scorpion let out another pain of agony as it once again hurt itself, only this time with her prized tail. "Gligar," she hissed, standing up and clicking her pintchers.

"Tackle!" Trent barked.

"Bu snu!" Snubbull barked, charging forward on all fours. Gligar braced herself, spreading the flaps she called wings and took the brunt of the attack, sliding back from the force as Snubbull barged right into her chest.

"Gli," Gligar growled, raising a claw. "Gligar!"

Trent didn't even wince as his pokemon was thrown back brutally. The Gligar was too weak a level to know any good moves, but pokemon didn't need just 'official' attacks in order to do battle. "Scary Face," he ordered.

"Bu." Snubbull pulled himself up, snarl taking in a much more dangerous, much more scary face as it stared down at Gligar, the flying scorpion seemingly shrinking in fright. "Snuuu."

"Tackle!" Trent roared. "Finish that weakling!"

"Snu bull bu!" Snubbull barked, eyes once again glowing with that eerie light of crazy and beastiality. The only problem Trent had was that it was limited. It was no longer the insane, crazy pokemon, but it was still powerful, and right now that was all he needed. "Suu!" Snubbull roared, Tackling hard into Gligar's chest and sending the flying scorpion tumbling back where it slammed into a few stray rocks where it simply lay there, whimpering in pain.

"Gliga!" she howled, unable to get up.

"Good job," Trent allowed as his pokemon came over and sat at his feet, only a small spart of rebellion in its eyes. It seems that he could no longer use the tamer balls... Good thing he had extra pokeballs back from his days of true travelling.

"Gligar!" shouted a new voice, causing Trent to look up, a smirk coming to his face. A male Gligar was flying at them, and it looked angry. Looks like he had another battle...

Wolfwhispers: Very nice post =D It was a great read. The first bit reminded me a little of The Call of the Wild =3 Anyway...Snubbull grew to level 7! Wonder what'll happen in part two ;)

"Gligar!" the male mate hissed in anger, narrowing his wings as he flew at Trent. His white eyes were glazed over with that beastly look that Trent seemed to love, but with that look aimed at him with the intent to kill, it was enough to make Trent on edge and weary. "Gli!" Wings angled, Gligar shot down straight at Trent, revenge on its mind.

"Snubbull, defend!" Trent barked, diving to the ground, Gligar's tail swishing just over the tips of his hair. The flying beast hissed in anger and quickly angled itself to come back around, but Trent had already gotten back to his feet, crowbar in hand. "Come at me, vermin!" Trent roared, slamming the crowbar into Gligar.

"Glig!" Gligar screech, clamping down on the metallic bar as it tried to push against Trent's strength. It hissed dangerously, eyes glancing at its unconcious mate. "Gligar!" With a strong heave, Gligar had Trent on his back, feet planted on Trent's stomach as it still tried to push against the crowbar with its pintcher, Trent fighting back as well. "Gli." With a bitter sneer, it raised its tail, aiming it at Trent's stomach.

"Snubbu!" Snubbull roared, clamping down on Gligar's tail but still wary of the end of the stinger.

"Ligar!" Gligar shrieked, face contorting in pain as it lost its grip on the crowbar.

Trent gave a barking laugh as he pushed the offending pokemon off violently. "Nasty bugger," he grinned, managing a good jab into Gligar's side.

"Gli," Gligar hissed, only to yelp as Snubbull increased it grip on his tail.

"Bulll," Snubbull growled, on all fours as he kept a grip on Gligar's tail, saliva beginning to drip down the stinger. "Bull!" Snubbull roared, tossing back his head and releasing the offending tail, slamming Gligar into the rock right next to his mate.

"Nice aim," Trent said with a laugh as he dusted himself off, but his dark humor was lost on Gligar as it got back to its feet, gaze landing on its mate for a moment.

With a renewed force of anger and strength, Gligar launched itself into the air, fangs clearly visible in a sneer. "Gligar!" It's tail glowing was all Trent and Snubbull had before a barrage of Poison Stings were launched straight at them. "Lii!"

Trent and Snubbull made a rolling dive for it, but Snubbull was too slow and was hit mercilessly with the poison needles. "Buble," Snubbull moaned, cringing as Gligar glided past him and managed to land a whack with his tail to the normal types head. "Snuu," Snubbull groaned, staggering back.

Trent made a "Che," sound before barking, "Charm!"

Blinking and looking a disoriented at first, Snubbull managed to start clapping, much to Gligar's confusion. It stopped flying and simply hovered close to the ground, tilting its head in confusion. "Snu ull bull sun!" Snubbull laughed, shouting compliments.

"Glii..." Gligar rubbed a claw in embarrassment, making Trent wonder what sort of compliments the normal type was saying to get such a pleased reaction from the maniac scorpion.

"Tackle!" Trent barked, using Gligar's pause to get in a final attack.

Barking, Snubbull charged, head lowered and rammed straight into Gligar. The flying scorpion hacked as its air was literally pounded out of its body and was sent flying into a painful tumble straight into its mate where they both lay in an unconcious heap.

"Together even in a painful state of unconciousness," Trent stated as he swung his crowbar onto his shoulder and shook with laughter. He gazed at the two in disgust. "Leave them to rot," he told Snubbull, grin widening as he saw the anger in the normal type's eyes grow. Ah, there was that beastly anger he wanted. "Let's go. We can get to Olivine soon if we hurry, and I sure as hell don't want to stay in this dangerous territory at night." Trent turned to his pokemon. "Unless of course you'd rather stay..."

"Bull..."

"Although I'm sure you don't since I'm sure you remember what these wild pokemon of today do to trained pokemon."

Grumbling, Snubbull gave a dull shake of his head and followed his trainer, kicking rocks and sticks and grumbling the whole way. "Snub."

"That's what I thought."

Wolfwhispers: Yet again another great post. I actually think it's interesting how Trent acts towards Pokemon. Anyway...Snubbull grew to level 9!

Chapter 3: Cherrygrove City
Post Number: 1-2

Your quick and happy arrival to the once beautiful city might be decimated the moment you walk through the city limits. There are broken buildings everywhere, and old papers litter the streets. Trash from hungry Pokemon are spread throughout the entire city, along with the occasional body here and there. If you aren't careful, you might stumble on a body littered with feeding Pokemon...so watch your step. As you head toward the now abandoned Pokemon Center in hopes of healing your Pokemon, you step on a piece of paper that crunches and catches your attention. You might feel your blood run cold as you read the bold headline.

STARVING PEOPLE BEGIN TO KILL AND EAT POKEMON!!
Just two days after the Pokemon destroyed the extra food supplies, people began to starve. It is
apparent that they were counting on this food to survive, and now they are resorted to very
drastic measures in order to live. There have been numerous reports of starving parents (in
dire moments of desperateness) killing their once favorite Pokemon and serving them as dinner,
if only to feed their starving children. The wild Pokemon have found out, and will soon begin to
do more damage to this world. Already they have started gathering more tamed Pokemon on
their side. Their numbers increase continually, while ours die off because of starvation and
sickness.
People are also reporting strange things occurring when they are bitten by a "savage" Pokemon.
The bites are slowly becoming infected, no matter what medicine you are injected with. The signs
of an infected bite include but are not limited to:
-Bloodshot eyes
-Fever
-Swelling around area of the bite
-Intense stomach pains and headaches
-Death
The doctors are now saying if you begin to experience these symptoms you must go to a hospital
immediately. They are trying to find a cure, and their efforts will hopefully be rewarded soon.
We fear our entire population shall die out, and if we don't do anything it shall.

You put down the horrid article with disgust and possibly bile rising in your throat. Without looking back, you head into the Pokemon Center. The only problem is, what you find inside isn't much better than the article. Inside are the decaying bodies of many sick patients, infected with the "Savage Bite" as the bite disease soon began to be called. What horrifies you the most, however, is that there are a group of Pokemon feeding on the bodies, and when they notice you they attack.

These Pokemon are so revolting that you do not dare capture them, but instead decide it is best to destroy (yes, destroy) them. It might be the first thing you want to do, or it might be the last...however, there is no way around this. You will fight these groups of three Pokemon, and by the end of it all they will be dead. It does not matter how you do it, but they will be eliminated.

*Savage Bite attack is basically like the Pokemon trying to give you rabies. When they use the attack, they begin to foam at the mouth and snarl something terrible. After that, they charge in something like a blind rage. If it hits you, you get infected and die.

As far as doing a second post, you could find a stray Pokemon in the city to battle. If you want to capture something that you put in the city, you MUST VM/PM me and ask permission.

It had already been a brutal journey thus far for Zypher, he had lost ton's of blood and been knocked around several times but nothing had broken his spirit, not yet. He finally had something to actually smile about or though he thought, as him and Chance were making there way into Cherry Grove city. Zypher remembered how Sly describe it to him several times. It was a beautiful city, with a happy population and a main tourist attraction for passing by trainers, but that was a different time.

"This is what the world has come to Chance" Zypher said putting on a serious face for the first time. Chance looked around and became upset at the sight. There were broken buildings, glass scattered every where from broken windows. As Zypher walked through the streets he noticed half eaten trash piled in places from the ravage pokemon, and even the occasional dead lifeless human body. This made Zypher even more upset but that wasn't what made his blood boil in anger no, but what he saw next did.

"Crunch"

"Huh?" Zypher said as his attention was drawn to a piece of crumpled up paper that he had just stepped on. He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth the pure smile that was once on his face was wiped away by pure intense anger at the headline he read on the paper.

"STARVING PEOPLE BEGIN TO KILL AND EAT POKEMON!!

Zypher quickly through it down and decided he needed to calm down, Chance was starting to get worried about him and that's the last thing he needed was to get Chance worked up. But if there was one thing Zypher hated in this whole world it was sheer violence. He hated that once a little bit of hope was lost people lost all of there humanity, same with pokemon. There was no reason to be fighting with each other, when peace could have been accomplished so easily, but no people are stubborn and instead would not admit to being wrong.

"Look where that's gotten us!!!!" Zypher screamed aloud he didn't care if any wild pokemon heard him right now he needed to let this anger out or he knew it would eat at him and grow, and he didn't want that.

"Pi?" Chance said softly trying to snap Zypher out of it, and it actually worked as Zypher took a look at the sad little Pichu's face he calmed down.

"I'm sorry Pichu, let's go to the pokemon center and get healed up" Zypher said with a soft voice once again as his smile returned. He honestly wanted to get to the pokemon center for himself… He was about to pass out again, he hadn't eaten and the loss of blood wasn't helping him ether. But the moment the two of them walked inside he knew what his fate was, and that fate wasn't to get any rest.

"Chance get be on alert" Zypher whispered as he scanned the pokecenter finding several decaying bodies of the people with this new "savage bite" disease. That was the worse of his worries though, as he noticed three Bagon's eating away at one of the decayed bodies, but there was something different about these pokemon. They were ravaged yes but they were absolutely revolting, everything about them was different then a normal Bagon for the simple fact that they just looked terrifyingly horrible and disgusting. This is what was going to become of all pokemon if this war wasn't stopped, and soon.

"BA???? GON!!!" One of them shouted putting it's snout to the air smelling Zypher's scent and turning around to see him standing there and all at once they began charging at him.

"Dammit! Here goes nothing Chance, now use thunder shock!" Zypher shouted as Chance leaped into the air curling it's body together before releasing three bolts of electricity at the three Bagon, and landing successfully back on his feet.

"GON!" They shouted in unison as they put there hard heads down using them as a shield and charging right through the thundershock. Zypher realized they were using the move rage.

"Chance watch out!!!" Zypher screamed as the three of them were about to collide with Chance. Zypher sprung quickly off his feet rolling to Chance quickly stepping out of the way of the Bagon's who just collided head first into the front wall of the center causing it to crumble on top of them.

"Pi…" Chance whispered as Zypher realized he was very exhausted as he hadn't gotten much rest since he caught him.

"There coming back" Zypher said in fear as the three of them jumped out of the ruble and began glaring there sharp teeth. As they began charging once again Zypher couldn't risk losing Chance and although he hated what he was about to consider doing… he knew it had to be done. He quickly scanned the ground for anything he could use and after a few glances he noticed a heavy wooden plank laying on the ground next to the counter.

"Chance distract them using charm!" Zypher ordered as he sprinted over to the plank sliding across the floor. Chance was dancing around trying to be cute but it had no affect on these Bagon they were just to far gone. "Chance use another thunder shock!" Zypher shouted as Chance began blasting bolt after bolt of electricity at the ravage Bagon but he seemed to be having no affect. And then he was done, Chance fell to one knee completely out of energy as the Bagon began closing in one by one. They began to foam at the mouth, they were snarling and Zypher knew right away the were infected with this ravage bite disease. The three of them pounced at the little pichu, who was now closing his eyes in fear.

"DIE!!!" Zypher shouted jumping into the air swinging the wooden plank at the Bagon knocking them to the ground one by one unconscious. But Zypher had bottled up to much rage and began swinging the plank viciously into each Bagon one by one, blood squirting all over the place. He had lost it at the moment every bit of anger he had held up since Beo's death, his cancer, Sly leaving, and now this had just taken over. It was as if Zypher had blacked out, and someone else took over his body.

"Pi?" Chance said opening his eyes slowly to see Zypher standing there with the board dangling in one hand, blood covering his arms and face, as the three Bagon were completely lifeless. A tear began rolling down his cheek, Zypher was terrified.

Sacred Beo: That was a really great battle post, I liked it =) You portrayed the dark feeling very well. Let's see...Chance grew to level 11!

It had been about an hour since Zypher had just completely mauled the three Bagon's to the death. There blood stained his face and arms, he had been sitting in the same position now for forty five minutes without saying a word, his eyes still staring down at what he just did.

"Pi?" Chance said trying to snap his trainer out of his trance but it just wasn't working. Afterall Zypher wasn't the kind of person who would kill someone, but he was pushed to the brink and every emotion he felt had just taken over.

"Why…." Zypher muttered under his breath, it was the first word he had spoken since the accident. Chance could just sit and watch, as he waited calmly for Zypher to get up.

"Let your anger grow" a voice echoed in Zyphers head, he began to hear several other things as well, and all at once the pain was back. Zypher started holding his head as it started out as just a small headache, but then the laughing came back…

"Hahahah"

"GAHHH!" Zypher shouted in pain as Pichu jumped up to his trainer's side but there was nothing he could do to help as blood once again gushed from his nose, and then the worse thing happened… Zypher passed out cold onto the pokecenter floor.

From outside the pokecenter Chance heard several roars of wild pokemon who must have heard Zypher scream in pain, this was not going to be good. Chance tried shocking his Zypher but nothing was working and he was exhausted.

"Hey Zypher come on dude let's go meet Sly down by the ocean" A young Beo shouted up at his friends window, as the then black haired Zypher looked out and nodded. Zypher raced down the stair case throwing on his t-shirt and racing out the door tackling Beo to the ground.

"Ha lets go buddy!" Zypher said smiling as the two of them made there way down to the shore line, meeting up with Sly.

"What took you two so long!!" Sly shouted punching Beo and Zypher in the arms. "Now come one let's try to catch some Magikarp!" She said smiling as she handed a fishing rod to both of them. Zypher and Sly quickly took off to the dock and dangled there feet off the edge of it while casting there rod's into the water.

"Beo……….It's time" A voice rang in Beo's head as he fell to the ground.

"Beo!" Zypher screamed rushing over to his side as Beo lay unconscious, Zypher opened his eye lids to find they were pure white and he jumped back.

"NOO I WON"T LET THAT HAPPEN!!" Beo screamed in pain alarmingly jumping from his unconsciousness and diving into the water.

"Zypher save him!" Sly yelled as Zypher sprinted after him and dived in but the current was to much for the young boy, and there was no sign of his best friend. Zypher somehow managed to free himself from the current and grab onto the dock pulling himself up gasping for air.

A few days later Beo's body washed up on shore and Zypher secretly had never forgiven himself for that.

"CHU!!" Chance screamed slapping Zypher in the face as several Ratata's were now entering the run down pokecenter getting ready to attack the unconscious. Chance began hissing at the wild ratata to get them to leave but it wasn't working… Nothing was working. Zypher needed to work up and now.

Zypher looked in the mirror, as he noticed the first white hair coming in. Something was wrong with the boy; he had felt weaker lately and would sometimes fall right to sleep when he laid down now.

Suddenly he began coughing uncontrollably, as he began spitting blood up into the sink.

"Haha" that was the first time a laugh rang throughout his mind, and that was the first time Zypher ever felt fear.

"MOM!! DAD!!" he began shouting choking on his own blood as he fell to the bathroom floor banging his head off of the sink, knocking himself unconscious.

"Zypher wake up honey" his mom said as Zypher's eyes slowly opened to find he was lying in a hospital bed with IV's hooked into both his arms, his parents standing over him, his mother was crying, his father was holding her at that moment he knew something was wrong with him.

The Doctor soon walked into the room holding his chart with a very grimacing look on his face.

"Mr. and Mrs. Serim I've afraid that your son has brain cancer, lucky for us we should be able to treat him since we found it this early, but were not sure if it will stay gone we recommend that he stay with us for a few years so we can monitor his health" The Doctor said.

Chance began swinging his tiny fist at the two remaining ratata's, with each fist he swung he became even more exhausted. Finally he took one step back and shot a thunder shock directly at one of the Ratata's knocking it out. There was only one left unfortunately Chance fell to the ground, he tried his hardest to force himself up but it wasn't working.

"TATA!" it pounced at Chance who closed his before hearing a loud shot from a gun fired and the Ratata fell from the air to the ground dead in it's tracks.
"Cancer… Cancer… Cancer…" He repeated it in his head over and over again before finally coming to grasp with what was going on, but he wouldn't let him beat him, no he would beat it no matter what.

"What happened?" Zypher said awaking from his unconscious only to see a very familiar face feeding Chance some berries.

"Sly???" Zypher said.

"Hello my old friend" She said with a smile.

Zypher smiled noticing how she cared for Chance so easily, and realized her arrival couldn't come at a better time, because he new what was wrong with him.

His cancer had returned.

Trent was shaking his head in disgust. How could a once prosperous town be reduced to rubble? Sure, pokemon were powerful creatures and should always be respected and feared in a way, but humans had once tamed them. This was no time for a panic, but it seemed that not all people were using their wit and were rather falling into dispair, and with it their towns went with them.

"Snuu," Snubbull grumbled, sniffing about as he walked on all fours. His ears were up and alert, beady white eyes darting back and forth and his body was stiff. "Bull," he grumbled again. Something about this town sent him on edge.

"Let's try and find someone," Trent said quietly, glancing about suspiciously. There was a rancid smell that burned his nostrils, and Trent had a feeling he knew what it was. Decay was everywhere in this pathetic excuse for a town, so it was only obvious food wouldn't be the only thing decaying.

Trent and Snubbull continued walking through the town, shadow's disappearing and reappearing at the corner of their eyes. It set them on edge and put Trent on an alert he had never been on before. Sure, he had delt with his fair share of crazed pokemon, but a town probably taken over by human hating pokemon? Nah, but Trent honestly hoped that it was just his imagination running wild.

"Snu," Snubbull barked quietly, sniffing at a crunched up newspaper and nudged it toward Trent expectantly. Humoring his pokemon, Trent knelt down and picked it up, his blood running cold as he read it.

STARVING PEOPLE BEGIN TO KILL AND EAT POKEMON!!
His eyes read each word slowly, reading about how starving people soon turned to eating their once close pokemon in order to just feed their children. Wild pokemon had soon found out and rallied what tame pokemon had been left in town, taking all the humans that they could down. To sum it up, it had been a brutal battle.

"Damn it," Trent cursed, throwing the paper down. This was worse than he thought. Were humans becoming extinct? "Let's go," he ordered, heading toward the nearly toppled pokemon center.

"Snuuu," Snubbull growled, pawing nervously at the ground as they got closer and closer. Trent once again paused, glancing down at his nervous pokemon. This sort of reaction was more than enough to tell him something dangerous was within this rubble.

"Be ready," Trent whispered, sliding in past the doors, a horrid stench reaching his nose and almost making him vomit. Inside were dozens of people, each of them sick and in panic. It seemed they wanted to get outside but were either too scared or too weak to. They were all in a corner, looking like sheep ready to be slaughtered and were all staring in horror across the hall. Trent swivelled around in the general direction, stomach automatically trying to throw up its contents on instinct. There, across the hall, were the dead bodies of some of the patients, their intestines sprawled about and faces still stuck in a state of horror. The cause of their disembered state was still there, growling in a way that wasn't like how Snubbull had been. This pokemon had truly lost it.
[PokeCommunity.com] This Is War

"Hooun!" the rabid beast howled, charging straight at Trent.

"Move!" Trent barked at his pokemon, though he hadn't needed to. The two both dove away, the beasts teeth just barely missing them. With an angry snarl and vicious shake of its head, the Houndour ran for the exit. Trent hissed. This pokemon was obviously in a state beyond help. Despite the fact that he wanted dangerous pokemon that still exhibited a wild side, he didn't want anything to do with insane pokemon. What was this world coming to?

"Snuuu," Snubbull growled, body incredibly tense as the Houndour discovered the exit was blocked by closed doors and stalked its way back to Trent and the remaining survivors. They all whimpered in the corner, clawing at each other to be out of sight. It was pitiful, but they needed saving. "Bu l sl," Snubbull barked, snapping as Houndour made to paw savagely at Snubbull.

"Be careful," Trent warned, holding his crowbar carefully. He glared with disgust in his eyes. "Charm," he commanded.

With a bitter sneer, Snubbull began to bark and clap for Houndour, but it was obvious it was forced.

The Houndour paused, looking unsure before its dead eyes seemed to dark before it lunged. "Hooun!" it howled, teeth glistening as it snapped at Snubbull's left paw.

"Snuub!" Snubbull cried out, kicking out on instinct and nailing Houndour in the nose. The normal type panted, actually looking frightened by the dull eyes of this pokemon. He gave a hesitent glance at Trent, his trainer. He remembered the hatred he had felt for the human (all humans), but the strange pokeball had wiped out any thoughts of mutiny, but that didn't mean he didn't remember his hatred, but even he knew it wasn't as evil or vile as this. This poor beast was no longer fit to be called a pokemon.

"Dou!" Houndour growled, shaking his head and looking cross eyed for a moment. With a vicious glare, he pointed his muzzle high and Howled.

Trent couldn't help but grin at the shiver's he was getting. Oh how he longed to have a pokemon that could do that to his enemies. What a shame this one was mad. "Tackle!" he barked.

Wasting no time with growls or barks, Snubbull jumped. His head was lowered and ears flapped in the wind, but even without a big show, he slammed incredibly hard into this deranged mutt, literally knocking its breath away. "Snuub!"

The dark type yelped, ears twitching in the direction of the pitiful survivors as they began to cheer as they realized they were being saved. It turned away from Snubbull and barked and snapped at the crowd, drawing gasps and sobs from the broken people. "Dour!" Houndour snarled, muzzle wide. Trent's eyes widened in horror as it blasted a barrage of Ember's at the crowd. His hand immediately grasped his side, knowing and remembering the burn he too had recieved from a rabid pokemon, only the pokemon that had hurt him had once been close.

"Stop it from getting too close!" he snarled as the crowd screamed and scrambled away, running in all directions. Some escaped the broken pokemon center while others ran deeper in the building. The one's that had been hurt were moaning on the ground, fresh burns on their bodies and the smell of melted skin poisoning the air.

"Snuu!" Snubbull howled, having had enough with this. His teeth were very visible as his mouth went wide before they closed around Houndour's right hind leg with a snap. The sound made a few people flinch as the sound of a broken bone filling the air before Houndour's howl of agony took over.

"Douur," Houndour panted, ears lowered and sweat beginning to cover it. It's tongue was hanging out as it turned toward Trent, its eyes beginning to glisten with an inner fire of rage. "Doour!" Shaking Snubbull off, the beast tore its way at Trent, knocking over whatever objects be in its way, its mouth foaming and no hint of sanity left.

"Fuc...!" Trent pushed the crowbar out just in time, the bar slamming into Houndour's mouth and its paws scratching at Trent's chest as he pushed against the pokemon. "Bastard," Trent growled, grimacing as saliva dripped down his arms and some onto his face.

"It's Savage Bite!" one of the survivor's screamed, obviously a woman by the high pitch, but then again, some men have been known to scream quite high when in danger. "Don't let it bite you!"

"Then help me!" Trent screamed back, not moving his gaze from Houndour's, pushing with all his might against the snarling beast, but the most he could do was keep its head away.

"Snuuu!" came a vicious snarl, and Trent soon heard another howl of agony fill the building as Houndour's left hind leg was broken with a loud crack. "Snu... bull!" Snubbull cried, heaving with all his might and throwing the dark type off his trainer.

Trent sat up quickly, panting hard. His heart was pounding from fright, but his eyes held a look of cold resentment as he gazed at the beast dragging its back body up, its mouth opening as it shot an Ember in Trent's direction. This time a yelp escaped from Trent as he rolled away his shirt getting singed, but he was otherwise unhurt. He got up again, face twisted in a sneer as he gazed at the people. They were hiding again, only peaking out of their hiding spots to see what would happen.

With a bitter sneer, he stomped towards the Houndour, his crowbar raised. The dark type snarled like a beast from hell, but the next thing that came out of its mouth was a whimper of pure pain as Trent pounded his weapon into the dark types skull. It fell to the ground, blood dripping out of his ears.

"You weaklings can deal with it now," he spat, feeling incredible rage that none of these people tried to help him even a little bit. "We're out of here," he growled to his Snubbull, stalking out of the building and smashing his crowbar into a fallen chair with Snubbull following on all fours.

Screw these people...

Wolfwhispers: There were technically supposed to be three Houndour, but I'll let it slide because it was a really great post. The anger was tangible. Snubbull grew to level 12!

Dan stood and looked out at the split road, he knew going though route 46 would be faster but would be harder to cross. Dan sighed and decided he would debate it. He found a rock to rest against and began to rummage though his bag for his lunch. After he found his tuna sandwich he sat down and fell the familiar pressure of sitting on a pokéball. Dan quickly pull it from his belt enlarged it and called out his caught charmander.

"CHAR!" it growl looking dead into Dan eyes.

"Hey" said Dan, hands in the air. "We're a team now. We got to work together."

"Mander" it growled.

"Hey I know you might not like it, but just be glad you're not a slave to a tamer ball."

"CHAR!" it scream at the mention of a tamer ball.

Dan sighed. "This isn't going anywhere" he mumbled to himself. Dan picked up and tossed the pokéball at charmander.

"CHAR!" it screeched and caught the ball, without missing a beat it threw it into the air and swiped it with its tail. The pokéball went soaring off into the distance towards route 29.

"Well I guess its decided" sighed Dan. Dan glance at charmander and knew it wouldn't be following in its free will .He hastily pulled out an escape rope he brought from home and tied it around Charmander.

Charmander was dazed for a few seconds. But when it realized what was going on it shrieked and glared an angry look. It tried with all its might to stop from being dragged but it couldn't free its hand to cut the rope, Dan was simply too strong.

They proceeded to trek down route 29. It would be quite easy to spot the red and white ball among the all the dead grass, then again the blood might act like camouflage. After about thirty minutes of searching for the red and white ball Dan sat down to take a breather, charmander weighed a lot to pull around for 30 minutes even without its resistance. Dan finally looked up after a couple minutes and noticed charmander's pokéball. Dan walk over and pick it up, he turned around and threw it at charmander. As soon as he let it go though it went about an inch and fell to the ground. Dan looked down to see what was wrong with the pokéball. He then noticed it was attached to a yellow and black tail that lead to a mass of wooly fur, what Dan had mistaken in the evening setting as a bush.

"MAR!!" the yellow fur ball yelled while turning around.

Dan quickly busted out his sliver watch and scan the cry.

"Mareep" said the pokédex application "Mareep's wool stores electricity, and increases in volume when it builds up with static electricity. Touching the wool when the wool is charged will result in a nasty static shock. The bulb at the end of Mareep's tail glows brighter the more electricity it has.

"Hmm an electric Pokémon," said Dan. "He could be useful. Charmander scratch."

But it was apparent charmander wasn't going to listen to him. Mareep looked between Charmander and Dan with furious eyes. The next moment charmander was also looking at Dan with the same cruel eyes. It struggled to free itself from the rope, finally succeeding as the rope snapped. It raised it claw to attack Dan.

But the wild Mareep still look at charmander and Dan. It detested the caught Pokémon, so weak it was tamed by a human. It reared up to tackle the charmander. Dan quickly jumped in between them taking the full force of the attack. Mareep's wool suddenly laid flatter making it apparent that it was storing a shock that Dan had now taken upon impact.

Charmander looked at Dan, the 16 year old boy who had just risked his life to save charmander. It turned around looking
Mareep straight in the eyes and began to attack.

Dan slowly propped himself up, finding himself paralyzed. He looked at charmander and shout "Char I know you can growl so don't let me down."

Char made a deep grumbling sound in its throat, Mareep's eyes widen and its defence began to slack. But that didn't stop it
from preparing for another attack.

"Char d…." Dan's paralysis began to kick in and he couldn't finish his sentence before it was too late. Char was hit directly with the impact. "Char" Dan began again "quickly now use scratch."

Char launched himself forward at Mareep. "Mar" it screamed taking in its first impact of the battle. Char and Mareep looked to be faring the same.

Mareep began to charge again. Dan quickly barked "COUNTER WITH A SCRATCH." Charmander launched itself forward hitting
Mareep on its head, negating its attack. Mareep looked to be in pretty bad shape

Dan's paralysis seemed to be weakening. He sat up and quickly dug into his pocket, pulling out a pokéball. He quickly threw the ball at Mareep. The ball began to shake back and forth. Dan quickly looked between his new best friend, Char, and the shaking pokéball. He crossed his figures and hoped.

Ghasteon: The Pokeball cracked suddenly, electricity rippling out. Mareep looks at you and wants to battle once more, but will you risk loosing another ball to catch it?

Daveyp1997: The stuff I put in ( ) on the SU can be helpful. As far as the yummy thing, you're completely wrong. Go back and read the rules if you would actually like to sign up, and give me a real SU.

well just because im nice.................BUMP!

Daveyp1997: Let me tell you now, I'm probably going to sound very mean but I'm just saying the facts. Your grammar is very bad. Your SU just has a bunch of horribly placed commas. Those are still hardly even paragraphs, more like giant run on sentences. While I appreciate how much you seem to like this RP, either go learn some proper grammar or just stay out of this. Plus, your SU was supposed to go in the OOC, and I don't really appreciate bumping the thread. If people want to post, they will.

David sat on the edge of the boat lounging around and staring up at the sky "todays the day" He muttered to himself. He quickly heard a mechanic voice say "arriving in new bark town please get off orderly" He got himself up and started to walk when he got bumbed on the side by a magicarp jumping out and biting him "grrr.....stupid little fish!" he said as he punched it off his arm

"Holy crap" David said as he stared in awe at what new-bark town had become, the ground was dry and the grass or what was left was crunchy.David also noticed there was only one building he walked over and knocked a few times, after ages of waiting a buff army looking man came out and grunted "you one of the trainer?" "yes sir" David replied impatiently. He shoved David in and went on rambling about spliting into one person groups to keep pokemon off you,but David didn't care he just wanted to get going. Finally he stopped and said "here we are" as he led David into a what looked like a large closet "This is basically our research facility. Here you will be equipped with one weapon of your choice, a weapon belt akin to mine, and a little bit more information on this whole thing. Good luck." he finally finished and headed off

"hello there!" a friendly voice said almost knocking David's socks off in shock,he handed David a belt and said "There's a dagger in there, just incase Pokemon get too close without you being able to capture them. We also have a canteen, a compass, a GPS, and...huh. Oh well, you'll find out." "thank you" David said switching his belt he also noticed the man sneak in a tamer ball into his pack but he didnt care "And now you can choose your weapon." he said "hmm........got a pistol?" David replied "sure" he said running off to a compartment,He pulled out a gun and a few cases of bullets and a holster. He ran back and handed themto David "This is a regular glock with a few cases of hollow points,And finally, I give you this."

He handed David a small Iphone type device and said "That will explain the recent occurrings of the region. It will also provide you with information on the Pokemon when you battle them." "ok then" David replied holding his gun in his holster "You can make your own way out, because the journey begins now." he said finally pushing David to get him going "see ya" David replied heading outside

(sorry for short post kind of rushed)

David walked down the edge of the route the dagger in his hand and pistol at the ready "no one can get past my defense" He said happily when suddenlyhe hear loud swoosh! like a water gun.He put his gun in his holster and held out the dagger reverse style, just the way he liked it.

crash! A branch on the nearest tree broke off and out popped a poliwag "Poli!" It screamed its small but sharp teeth bared "easy boy easy" David said gently still wielding the dagger

The poliwag jumped and shot a jet of water at Davids face blasting him back and onto the ground. He quickly got up and ran at it "Wag!" It screamed as it hurled it self at David,He side stepped and held out the dagger while the poliwag flew by cause a terrible gash in its side to appear. It landed on the ground with a thud!

"Tamer ball time" David said as he threw the dagger at the ground but the poliwag thought differently he water gunned the dagger and it launched at David just barely missing his head "your feisty little prick aren't ch'ya?" David said panting the poliwag used bubble beam and launched David back but he held his ground enough to grab a tamer ball from his belt but poliwag had other plans. It water gunned his hand launching the ball away "now this is getting interesting" David said in a cocky smirk.

The poliwag hurled itself at David and David ran at it man vs pokemon, pokemon vs man only one can win David thought to himself as he and the pokemon collided the force was strong enough to keep the poliwag up "take this!" David yelled as he punched it in the face.David jumped to his tamer ball and threw it straight the poli wag

"sweetness.....whew" David panted holding his tamerball he threw it out and hear the familiar shwew! sound and the poliwag flew out David tapped his pokegear and it said "poliwag the tadpole pokemon, sleeps and lives in ponds they are usually very friendly except for when moved from home, when the anger virus spread they were one of the first to get it."

"poli?" the poliwag said confused at the noise David patted its head and said "its okay buddy just my pokegear's pokedex" "Poli!" it said happily and ran around in a circle "so what are its moves?" David asked his pokegear "Bubble, watersport" "nice move set dude" David said enjoying his poliwags attention "POLI!" It screamed happily running in circles

Daveyp1997: Not bad, once again. But don't get TOO carried away. Remember, because you're starting all the way back here Poliwag is only level 5. It should only know Water Sport and Bubble, at least until it grows. I get to pick the movesets and levels and whether you capture it (save for this Pokemon, of course, because it's your first) and you pick the nature and gender. Tell me in the OOC what you'd like it to be.
