Hitmontop! I love the mini-game in Stadium 2.

Tyrogue or Chikorita?
 
Tyrogue! Cause it evolves into Hitmontop.

Ampharos or luxray?
 
Leafeon. It can learn SwordsDance, which not only is completely irrelevant, but is also completely awesome. But then again, Venusaur can learn it too, which seems even stranger...

Anywho, back onto the topic. Breloom, or Houndoom?

(This isn't as random as it sounds. Breloom is a Grass/Fighting type, while Houndoom is a Fire/Dark type. Fire beats Grass, but Fighting beats Dark, so (theoretically) it's even.)
 
Breloom, because, just like you said, it can learn swords dance. And it just oozes sheer awesomeness.

Samdslash (leafgreen exclusive) or Arbok (Firered exclusive)
