    I'm having a spot of trouble old bean. My little friend on Route 205 Eterna Side gives off Attack EVs when his six Magikarp evolve into Gyarados. Well the problem is that I have battled him well over 30 times now and his six Magikarp still haven't eveolved. Can anyone please tell me what's wrong here? And I must mention I got the information about training my Attack EVs with him at this thread: https://www.pkmncommunity.com/showthread.php?t=88965

    As far as I know, them Magikarp just plain don't evolve, they have never evolved for me, not that I want them to evolve either as I always use them for my Speed boosting EVs.
     
    Well it does say "can become Gyarados". Magikarp don't exactly evolve all that quickly, but it could be that you haven't got up to a point in the game where they're meant to be Gyarados?
     
    Well I've beaten the whole game. Not completed the Pokedex but I'm up to Stark Mountain.
     
    I think you need to lose to them.
     
    Then where's a really good spot for Attack EVs? XP
     
    I'll check out an FAQ of something. Thanks for your help guys. But can someone change that error in the EV guide? The Gyarados thing doesn't work I suppose.
     
    Twinleaf Town. Use super rod i believe in that small pond south of town. You get nothing but Seakings and Gyarados. Where i did my att ev training

    I don't remember who added that, but they said the Magikarp had evolved. I remember they did in FR/LG but I didn't confirm it in D/P. I'll remove it if it's wrong then, unless someone knows of a special method to make them evolve maybe?

    EDIT: Wait, I removed the trainers from the FAQ. The thread you looked at was obsolete. Sorry for that. The FAQ contains only Wild Pokémon (including Atk-EV Pokémon) but accurate information.
