[Sorry guys, I've been super busy with school. I'm trying as much as I can to stay with everyone though, and I should be much better this week]
"And that's when the disasters hit. We already had it planned out and everything! So, I came here to try to stop the disasters. That means that we're going to have to battle some legendary Pokémon. Do you think we're strong enough for that?" Jakob asked his friend. The Chimchar quickly jumped up on a log and tried to show off its muscles. But, the log started moving and Chimchar fell off, right into the base of a tree. Jakob ran over to Chimchar to see if it was alright, chuckling as he did so. Chimchar was a big goof. He made it to Chimchar, and found him holding an egg that had apparently fallen out of the tree. As Jakob picked up the egg to examine it, he heard the sound of flapping wings and squawking behind him. They were about to be under attack.
"Phyre! Flamethrower!" Jakob yelled out. He dove out of the way as his furry monkey friend released a hot stream of fire from its mouth. Turning around, Jakob saw their opponent. There were 2 Pidgeys and a Pidgeotto, mad that their egg fell out of the tree. They thought Jakob was trying to steal it. One of the Pidgeys had been hit squarely with the Flamethrower blast, but the other two birds looked livid. Flapping its wings, the Pidgeotto charged at Jakob's face.
"Phyre, stop the Pidgeotto with Thunderpunch!" Jakob yelled, bracing himself for the hit. But, as he looked up, he saw his Chimchar jump up a tree and throw itself down with its fist in front, Superman style. Jakob could see the little monkey's fist charged with electricity, which spiraled around the monkey as it dove. Chimchar connected with Pidgeotto's face, and the bird fell to the ground, paralyzed. By this time, the two Pidgeys were up and attacking.
"Use Fire Spin on the Pidgeys!" Jakob ordered, wondering how this 2 on 1 battle would fair for Phyre. Phyre trapped the first Pidgey in the spiraling flames, but the second dodged it and flew into Phyre. The Chimchar flew backwards, taking the first hit of its career. "Phyre, buddy, you alright?" Jakob asked his friend.
"Chim!" it responded. It jumped back up, ready for more.
"Alright, then! Use Flame Wheel on the Pidgey that's in the Fire Spin! But get ready to launch another attack right after that!" Jakob told his buddy. The Chimchar jumped up to the column of flame, and then spun so that it was engulfed in flames itself. The Pidgey was knocked out of the Fire Spin, unconscious. Just as Jakob suspected, the other Pidgey flew after Chimchar. "Bounce off that tree and use Thunderpunch on the Pidgey!" Jakob ordered. Chimchar executed it perfectly, and the second Pidgey was knocked out. It was down to Chimchar and Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto flew at Chimchar, trying to tackle it like the Pidgey did. "Flame Wheel, Phyre!" Jakob ordered, and Chimchar flung itself at Pidgeotto.
After the dust cleared, Jakob could tell that both Chimchar and Pidgeotto had taken heavy damage. He didn't know how much more his Chimchar could take. "Phyre, finish it now with a Thunderpunch!" he hoped, more than he said. Chimchar ran at Pidgeotto and delivered an uppercut to the beak. That appeared to be it for Pidgeotto, and the bird hit the ground hard. Realizing that it was now or never, Jakob tossed a Pokeball at the Pidgeotto, who was still twitching on the ground. It wiggled, and Jakob thought to himself "Please let this work. Please, please, please!"
