O_o; It seems promising enough to me. Especially since everything would be WAAAAAAAYYY different now. [Sirius's death, Death-Eaters in jail, And where the heck is Wormtail?]

^_^; I GOT ANOTHER THEORY ON WHY CROOKSHANKS SHOULD BE THE HBP!!!:

According to some Godric Gryfinndor is a king. =/ And Crookshanks could be his most loyal pet. Godric must've put some magic on Crookshanks for over-intelligence, speed and erm ... infinite life? o.o;;;

That's probably why Crookshanks was under care for so long. O_o;

And erm ... the Lion on the Gryfinndor house logo must mean something. x_x; Not like Lion's are a common house pets. [Owls aren't either but we're talking about cats. XD;]
 
er... crooky the HBP? isnt he... a she or something? no way is a cat a HBP... but JKR said something was special about crooky in Fantastic Beasts.. but i dunno cos i never read it.

tell me... how EXACTLY does a cat... get with a lion... or... something.. GG is just the guy who was.. i dunno... SS's rival? but if u talk about him being a king and having a royal pet.... that needs some looking back to the guy's past.... which really isnt revealed in ANY of the books..

That's where youre wrong. Crookshanks is a he. o_O;;; It said so in the PoA(The Book) In the Manangerie.

no way is a cat a HBP... but JKR said something was special about crooky in Fantastic Beasts.. but i dunno cos i never read it.

=D; The name Half Blood Prince doesn't mean that an animal can't be in the role of a Powerful Prince. Actually, the name justs holds the air of the person/animal being "half-blooded."

Well in CoS, according to the book and JKR anyway, Salazar used a snake. A basilisk to be exact. A basalisk is a typical legendary snake.

Godric is ,of course, the total opposite of Salazar, ain't he? That means that Godric wouldn't want no magical or extremely powrful beast of doom to be his pet. =/ Crookshanks could have been blessed with immortaility, wisdom, etc. from the powers of Godric Gyrfinndor.

Rowena Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are never mentioned. -_-;;; Only SS and GG.

Besides, you may never know when Crooky learns that he is needed and such. =P More info would probably come in future books.
 
I'm really looking forward to this book ^^ Now that I read all these posts I'm just more excited :P
 
hm.... i give up. crooky can very much be the HBP. then again he really needs the attention.. the last books he didnt get any good ..er.. publicity... i need a better word for this...

what im exited about is the HP-new-book party that we'll have in the Ecetera bookstore... last time i could have won that big OotP phoenix-and-harry jigsaw puzzle ONLY IF I COULD HAVE REMEMBERED THAT HARRY'S HALF BLOODED...

and the book better be good or else ..... i'll sue jkr for $1k for not making it good.... i guess she can EASILY cough up that cash.. ;)

^.^;; JKR is the mistress of suspence, adventures and whatnots and such. (Aside from Tolkein according to soem. o_O;;;) It'd be good. Besides its the second to last book, ain't it? ^_^
 
1k is short for 1-thousand. it comes from the er... numeral prefix system.

where k stands for kilo means 10 to the power 3. likewise m for mega stands for 10 to the power 6 and g for giga stands for 10 to the power 9.
so 10 to the power 3 means 1000. one example is computer data in bytes.
1 kilobyte = 1000 bytes.
so 1k = 1 thousand/1000

got it? *quickly hides principal's glasses and pointing stick behind back*



Tolkein and JKR equal the same position on my list.. in my opinion if Tolkein was still alive... he would have started writing something to battle harry potter.
and yea, this is ths second from last book.
 
I thought one byte was equal to 1024 kilobyte. XD;

NAH! If Tolkein was alive he'd write something to the LotR fans about HP NOT being equal. ^.^;; He could be a good guy!
 
hehe u say LotR is better than HP? i'll agree. sorta. i really cant say which is better.

ur rite about the kilobyte thing but im just giving an example.

Yea. Like, did you know Frodo and Harry HAVE almost exactly the same roles? And that wizard in LotR is just like Dumbeldore? XD;

In a brief statement released on jkrowling.com today, JKR had this to say:


'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is COMPLETED and has been delivered to my English language publishers, who hope to announce the publication date within 24 hours."
 
I've known the title of the next book for quite a while. But I have no idea what the seventh and last book is. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'll buy the next book on the first day it comes out to my book store like I did with the Order of the Pheonix.
 
Did you know? that JKR has all the book writen?

Coolie! I can't wait to find out all the good parts in The Half-Blood Prince! I haven't even finished the Order Of The Pheonix yet! ^o^
I was too busy reading all my other HP books.
 
Can't wait for it to come out I love the books. But harry potter is in no comparsion at all for the greatest hero of all time Robert E. Howard's Conan.
