Aww, no electronica guys here? Am I the only one? Anyway, here's some tunes I like. You probably won't have heard of 'em

-> Xtal - Aphex Twin
This is one of the best pieces of ambient techno ever, if you ask me, and one of the only songs that I want more of by the end. It's serenity is just epic, sounds like it came from another planet. Wicked.

-> Shadows - Wagon Christ
A very simply produced song. A basic hip hop beat, a string sample lifted from a james bond movie, and a etheral female vocal and an acid synth line... adds up to a song that is way more than the sum of it's parts. Lovely, etheral and haunting, really takes you to another place. I love **** like this.

-> Girl/Boy Song - Aphex Twin
This song has some incredible beats. Like, really insane beats, especially considering it's age. Back when this song was recorded (1995/6) computer production tools were way more rudemintary than they are now (I know having used them), so how he managed to put together such an insane and constantly evolving breakbeat is beyond me. An incredibly inovative track for its' time, yet still very melodic and nice. Top notch

->Moth - Burial and Four Tet
Utterly hypnotic, really relaxing. A very simple track, revolving around a single spacey chord progression, it's another song that I feel ends up as way more than the sum of its parts.

->5.9.78 - Boards of Canada
I can't believe they never officialy released this, it's lovely. Has a really lush, warm sound to it, totally relaxing.

... Yeah, I could go on all day, haha, I love music. I rather doubt any of you chaps will know any of these songs anyway!

I was raised on oldies, and have strange tastes, so...

1. Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger
2. Last Song Edward Bear
3. Poetry in Motion by Johnny Tillotson
4. People are Strange by the Doors
5. This is My Happiness from the Space Channel 5 Part 2 game

No.1 Passing of the Blue Crown (OC Remix) - Sixto Sounds
No.2 Battle With Rival (Game Rip) - Nintendo
No.3 Path of Destiny (Game Rip) - Namco
No.4 This Way Out - Crush 40
No.5 Bright Sounds - Sega

yea i listen to vid games OST, but they is awesome!

I just looked back at my last post and thought "Damn, I typed way more than I needed to."
Lol, here's a new list.

1. Pink Floyd - Dogs
17 minute long epic from the album Animals. Great acoustic rhythm, with amazing electric solos and a long synth part in the middle. Also love the lyrics.

2. Pink Floyd - Us and Them
Uhh...I love the guitar line, lyrics, basic feel, and most of all the saxophone solo.

3. Pink Floyd - Breathe
So relaxing. Put on some nice hd noise canceling headphones and zone out. One of the greatest parts is when 'Speak to Me' leads up into an explosive intro for Breathe.

4. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Live from PULSE)
David Gilmour's epic 5 minute guitar solo. Nothing else needs to be said. Watch this on youtube :P

5. NWA - **** Tha Police
Guilty pleasure. I thought Rage Against the Machines cover was good, but then I heard this (the original). Blew my mind.

I'm putting more Floyd albums on my iPod, so this list will most likely be different tomorrow.
