[Other] Total Beginner Need Lots Of Help!

    Hi my name is Bryce and I've decided that Id be interested in working on my own pokemon games to try to make fun ones people would enjoy playing. I have some very very extremely basic skills of using advanced map and advance text but I don't know how to make my own maps with advance map, insert new tiles, set warps IG, set connections to other maps, change the storyline IG, and all of the above as I said I'm very basic. I also don't know how to chane the description of a person I added IG. I also know how to use advance starter and that's it. I use a windows 8 computer and Id really appreciate the help from anyone who would like to assist me. You can contact me on skype at CanadianBrick chat in this topic or pm me! I would really appreciate all the help I can get with anything. I mostly care about Advanced map connections and all of the above so pretty much everything thanks again! ;)

    There are alot of questions you have, but most them can be solved by this thread alone, since they were on mapping. I'm goo lazy to pharse the link, so here you go:

    Using Advanced Starter is easy. Just open your ROM, and select the starters you want. But if you already made progress on the hack, it will not work.
     
    Thank you for your help but I have some other questions idont BELEIVE I saw answered in there. How do I delete existing maps on a rom? And I'm still confused about map connections a bit but am getting better at them.

    Map Connections are simply put it, just a way to seamlessly connect maps. The offset number is the map's postion relative to the middle, so 0 means that it is exactly in the middle of the map. Play with the numbers, till you finally get it.

    Deleting maps is possible, although kinda unethical and weird to do. If you mess up, it can servely hurt your ROM. I beleive a tutorial covered it, I'll edit it with the link. So its better to just replace maps.
