In another topic, can someone explain to me the mechanics of the light ball and pikachu? I know it doubles pikachu's attack and special attack, but how the hell does he reach 400 stats?!?!

Pikachu's overall stats is around 300, with Attack and Special Attack being 55 and 50 respectively. When it holds Light Ball, its offensive stats get doubled, apparently, which winds up bumping its stats to 405 in total. d:

No, I mean, its Attack and Sp.Atk reach values of over 400. Pokemon with a base 100 in either stat reach 328 at max. So how does Pikachu reach those numbers? o.O

Because Light Ball doubles the total stat, which includes IVs and EVs, and not the base stat.

Ah, that explains it. That is overpowered to say the least, haha. 90 base speed is decent and with the light ball its Attack is higher than Haxorus and its SpAtk is higher than Chandelures. It won't be any good in the competitive metagame but using it in-game may be a lot of fun.

Actually, it may stand a chance in NU or RU.

Yeah, it can wreck face with Volt Tackle and proper support. I prefer support Raichu (Lightning Rod w/ Nuzzle, Encore, Fake Out etc).
 
Hmm after reading all this I think I will have to make a trip to the items quick trade thread sometime today. Wish I hadn't traded away the one I hunted forever for now, XD.

If only Light Ball worked with Raichu... though, it would wind up turning this Pokémon overpowered, but to prevent that, maybe they could make the item have different effect on Raichu. Instead of doubling its stats, perhaps it could give it only a quarter boost or something? xD" Also, congrats on the shiny, Sage!

I've noticed that it seems whenever a Shiny pops up in a Horde it never has the HA. At least I haven't seen one. It's disappointing really.

Oh Yveltal wants to help me huh? WHY ISN'T IT THE WAY I WANT IT THEN!?

I'm breaking down. My motivation is so low. I just want to finish the game, work on my Pokédex again and FINALLY start breeding again. Stupid Yveltal, makes me so mad.

After all this work I might as well share it. I'll have someone here clone it and spread the glory to the regulars here.
 
You can do it! It's only been a few days. :P You've already done some impressive things, such as collecting all the Vivillion forms as shinies.
 
Aeroblast got all Shiny Vivillon. I do have a full Vivillon collection but it's not great. The best I have is all Safari Females in Premier, a few Horde Females in Premier.

I've traded all my bred Shiny. I don't actually have much to show for all my wasted hours lol. I mostly have Pokémon ready to breed. Can't do it yet though.

Don't get your hopes up, I was Advanced like 18 years ago trades wise but people stopped leaving reviews or never left then in the first place lol. If you check most of my reviews came from when the reviews were new and later reviews are from trade regulars. The ransoms don't leave much.

I can't keep up with who is who so I just think of you as all one person. If you have Powersaves use that for breeding. Makes life much easier.

You can back up saves and edit the saves. You can also check the IVs and SVs of any Pokemon. It is not an AR since there's no codes for you to enter and it doesn't directly change the game's coding.
