Some people won't be able to pay for it because of other things. You can't pay in cash, you have to do it some other way. Some people don't have access to wifi all the time. Others don't have a generation 5 game. There's plenty of reasons why others can't transfer.
 
Yeah there are definitely people who's issue is not really about money. I'd say the bigger issue is people not having a card to pay with, since people who can't connect to the internet wouldn't really be able to trade us anyway, lol.
 
I meant, for the wifi part, some people would think it's not worth paying for if they only have limited access to wifi, and since both bank and transporter require internet, why pay for something you can't use anyways? This way they get their one transfer without having to waste their money. $5 can go a long ways. That's four sandwiches at McDonalds! (because of tax)
 
So we're talking about how we can try to help people who can't transfer? As said, some people don't have Wi-Fi, and others don't have DS era games, so what exactly would we do if we could get the topic up? I haven't connected my DSi to my college's Wi-Fi yet, but my 3DS XL is connected fine, although most of my DS era games (like Platinum and White 2) are integrated with my DSi, so I can't connect from my 3DS XL.

That said, I'm looking to breed some Modest Drought Vulpix :x 5/6IV. Would anyone be interested in it, or is it a bad effort :P?

Best off trying in Quick Trades. This is just a chatting thread. But Drought Vulpix is a good Pokemon so yeah you should breed it.

Yeah, I was moreso wanting to know beforehand if it's a Pokemon people would want, not really to trade now but for later on. If I did Quick Trade, it'd mean I hav'em already, and I wasn't even sure I wanted to if no one wanted them :P

Thanks for the opinion, though. Here goes nothing.

EGG MOVES!! This is the best piece of advice I can give you. Egg Moves are very important, before starting the IV breeding you should breed the Egg Moves.

Nothing to worry about in Gen 6, Ditto allows the passing of HA and Egg Moves this Generation so it's really easy.
 
I was thinking of doing an egg giveaway here on PC with the leftover eggs I have from giving out to matching SVs on reddit. I figure if they haven't been claimed by now then I can give them to whoever. Do you guys think people would be interested in free eggs? Or should I just scrap that save file lol
 
I'd take some as long as competitively/breeding viable :D
 
Right now it'll be two boxes of Moon Ball Absols, mostly 5 IVs, Naive with Sucker Punch, Megahorn, Baton Pass, and Play Rough. I would just do an SV giveaway here but not that many are interested in that here it seems. :(
 
PM me the list, lol. If I find anything I could get as shiny I'd take it.

Yeah, but Vulpix in particular doesn't need Egg Moves meta-game, at least not Modest. Timid is looking like Hypnosis according to Smogon, but right now they're all 5IV (31/x/31/31/31/31) Drought 'mons with Modest nature and no egg moves. All of French origin in Repeat Balls.

I'm going to try breeding my Speed Boost Torchic from the giveaway event. When I get to KW this week, I might even clone it if it's 5/6IV with Speed Boost and Adamant (or Jolly) with Blakizenite attached. Then I can spread those ones out, too.

We shall see :)

- This post kinda crosses over both breeding and trade discussions (moreso asking what is trade-worthy and valuable for trading), so that's why I ask here :)

I think egg moves should be given regardless of what Smogon says. Vulpix has some useful egg moves such as Heat Wave, Hypnosis, and Disable. What makes a Pokémon more marketable here usually has nothing to do with Smogon's suggested movesets. Plus, it's nice to receive things with egg moves already because it saves time with future breeding projects. ;)
 
I have to agree with Keiran. Especially considering Heat Wave is very useful for anybody that wants to use your Vulpix/Ninetails for Doubles. Hypnosis is a given. The reason I brought up Egg Moves was for trade value.

Also a more personal note and nothing to do with your breeding but I usually prefer Speed boosting Natures. Just something I do.

A last note, to make your Pokémon more personal you can breed all of your Pokémon in the same Ball. Anybody that gets a Pokémon from me knows that it will be in a Premier Ball. I've even had people say that they check the OT of a Pokémon to see if it's me when they get a Pokémon in a Premier Ball!!

It's just a nice little signature I put on all my bred Pokémon. Of course Male Only/Genderless are still stuck in a Pokéball... :(
