There are also two more patterns hidden in the games, like diancie. One is speculated to be given out at the Pokémon World Championships.
EDIT: That sounds like a reference to the movie The Fly. But in the movie the machines were teleporters, not cloners, so I dunno.

I neglected the two unreleased forms as there is no way for us to get them right now. So currently a complete collection consists of 18.
If one were released at PWC at least we could get clones of them but they would probably be Shiny Locked which would be disappointing.

The Celebi event was Shiny Locked. You couldn't even SR for Nature/IV.

speaking of Vivillon, how might they be handled in other games/generations? Think we'll just have the same set of Vivillons the whole time?
You couldn't SR because of the way the event was distributed. If an event is distributed via wondercard you will be able to SR for it. It will probably be shiny locked anyways, yes, but most possibly you will be able to SR for IV's and Nature at least.

I think they will be like the eeveelutions where we might see a new one or two on the even numbered generations. At least I hope. Still I doubt it :(
Though how would they divide with world regions? Could they possibly be a whole other set of 18 divided by the same world regions but migrated into another region? And when did we find out about the two hidden patterns?!?!

Oh wow thanks!! I guess I missed the news? Really like the red and white pattern one!!! Can't wait for them to be released ^^ If one is being given out for the Pokemon Championships, that means we will get them, right? Sorry that's a noob question :P

I could see GF going with another way of handling them. Probably not region locked with possible new ones.
They could make it where one is only found at night and one at day. Then they could make the patterns change based on evolution methods too. Or by season.There are tons of ways of going about handling if they wanted to.
I hope to see more!
