Correct, we can check at any time, any post, but we have to then log into the mod control panel, run it through the searches, check things out, etc ... and the process isn't exactly time friendly. Hence why regular searches don't happen.

Regular members are notoriously unreliable. And with such an important sticky you all seem to make this to be, you think this is going to be some "community service?" C'mon now. Blacklists cause a nasty effect where reputations can be damaged. And such surely doesn't touch your hands. By the way, you'd need permission from the staff to update your thread, so in the end, it'd still be a hassle, a communication challenge. What? Did you think this would be a freely flowing edit machine? Not that easy.
You all seem to operate on the idea that these threads will be easy and peachy to operate, but I highly doubt you've looked into the important angles when executing threads of this nature. Bottom line: they're tough.
None of your concern.
I talked with Erik for a good while tonight and learned quite a bit how much he's been dealing with all of his sections lately. So first off, back off and show some appreciation some time. All right? My gods, you all are swarming the poor guy like your life depends on it. Suggestion threads don't mean you can spin this around like a democracy and demand all these wants out of majority. Erik may have said this was oh "how democratic" but that doesn't mean you all have final say. Erik's trying to making forum life better for you guys, but mind you, blasting him left and right (with such like debates and continuous beating down of a topic) isn't helping you all whatsoever.
You got a suggestion? Present it in clear-cut fashion with some logic please. At the moment, it's highly doubtful you'll get a blacklist. If we had a smaller forum or more staff working around here, sure, it just might work, but with these circumstances, it's going to be difficult to pull off. Make sure you all put strain on moderation into your ideas before you eagerly press that submit button. And accept a "no" for once, it's not the end of the world and you don't have to debate the utter life out of it.
Oh, and finally, you can thrash and cut this post up all you want, but don't expect much "change" in return.
