Hypno must be taking damage from the all that racket, I knew, but I had trained it since I first became a pokemon trainer, it would not sgow fear, and never showed pain. "Hypno, mimic the noise!" I commanded just loud enough to be heard over the racket, and after a moment, hypno began screeching out a grating noise, not like nails on a chalkboard, but more like a gigantic canary plugged into a 4000-volt power outlet.
 
OOC: don't tell me you actually tried that...

IC: thankfully, Metagross lacked ears, and the sound waves couldn't get through the metal, but I had gone profoundly deaf for a while. a possibly good thing, if the fight dragged on too long...

OOC: I thought metagross was kind of like a FEW species of reptiles, the hear through their skin, no specific ear "holes"?

IC: Hypno began messing with the pitch, until he finally hit one that neutralized metagross's sound. Then, he began slowly advancing, concentrating layer after layer of flame into one fist...
 
OOC: metagross is a reptile? I thought he was metal with four brains and eyes..

IC: Metagross responded with a change in pitch, and prepared his Meteor Mash
 
OOC: No, I said I thought it was LIKE some species of reptiles, in the fashion that it is able to hear through it's out shell/skin/whatever, how else does it listen to its trainer's commands?

IC: Hypno gave up trying to mimic the changing pitch, and simply focused all his energy on compressing leayers of fire into his fist, and soon, rather than a fist surrounded by fire, it was more like a gigantic fireball on the side of his body.
 
OOC: kinda like asking how a Seviper hears it's trainer. the world may never know

IC: "thank goodness, the sound was driving me crazy" I said in relief.. I glanced at my Metagross, and it covered itself with a powerful shield
 
OOC: snakes are not one of those species of reptiles, they have small holes which they hear through, however, some lizards hear through their skin.

IC: Hypno began raking it's fireball across metagross's shield, and when it didn't seem to hurt it, he just kept attacking anyway, cause it couldn't keep it's shield up forever.



OOC: Off topic: GAAAH! I failed my test for my learner's permit today, not the test, but they eye exam, it required 20/40 vision, but I know I have at least 20/30. I hear some people have trouble with the machines they use though...

OOC: that means I'm doomed.. my vision=very, very bad. and snakes dont have ears, they pick up vibrations through thier bones.. I'll shut up now...

IC: every time Hypno hit the shield, it not only strengthed the shield, but started healing Metagross as well.. it was a new attack that I had designed for battles such as this...
 
Hypno saw that it wasn't doing any damage, so instead of fighting it more, it hopped on top of the shield, and began meditating (not the meditate attack!) and restoring it's health as well, waiting for the oportunity to strike.
 
Metagross started sending painful shocks through the shield.. neither me nor Metagross liked Hypno in general, and we were hating this one even more...
 
hey u cant turn all scizor illusions real... btw your scizors r each using another shadow ball?
IC: medicham using its psy energy to shove the shadow ball at the scizors... it then charged up its fist to a huge flame and then used its psy energy to make them fire balls flying off at the scizors, and continusly made more with the fire punch, psy combo. this happened until it was sure there were 3 fireballs for every scizor left... and medi also directed the fireballs at the scizor as if it was a homing missle...
 
OOC: yes it does or else psy wouldnt have any effect on ghost pokemon... and they do, (ash's noctowl on ecrutek gym ldrs ghost pokemon, with its confusion)
IC: the fireballs were being redirected after it quickly read the minds until it found the original scizor... all 15 were now surrounding it
 
Hypno began bouncing the shocks away, not with a shield, but simply commanding the power to go elsewhere with its psychic abilities. I looked over at metagross's trainer, to find her twitching with anger, and I began to smile. Hypno knew the strategy, "An annoyed trainer is the trainer who slips up, and one frothing at the mouth is even better."

OOC: for some reason, I'm not getting email notification for this thread any more.
 
Cool it.. I told myself.. couldn't afford to make a mistake now... true, every inch of me was getting really annoyed at this freaking hypno, but if I slipped up now, it was over... Metagross covered itself with ghost energy, and let it expand outward... if it touched the hypno, it was in for a world of hurt...
 
OOC: you do that, but if it messes up my computer.. well... I'll silently hope that it's beyond repair so Grandma will replace it...

IC: Metagross canseled it's aura, and charged forward in a Meteor Mash
 
umm endure only works for 1 hit, maybe 2 (for 2vs2 battles), but since they were hitting u 1 by 1 it cant endure for all 15... and ur scizor has metal claw, double team, shadow ball, and psy, and now endure dont cheat by having more than 4 moves, i didnt and im still winning.
IC: as the fireballs balls hit scizor 1 by 1, i could tell it was weakening as it melted its thick metal coat. As medicham was preparing more fireballs and shooting them out, i wondered was I going too far?
