4th Gen Triple trigen monotype master challenge

Well over the last couple of days me and my cousin decided to make a challenge and I thought the people of PC might like to try. This challenge is probably the best way to test your skills as a trainer. Yes I have started already but I'm still only at Eterna training before the gym.

When I find someone to help I'll have a badge made that those who complete their challenge can put in their signature to show they completed it. If you know how to do things like this either PM or VM me.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: This challenge is only for those who use Platinum as it requires the Battle Frontier. Emulators are allowed for those without Platinum or those not wishing to delete their current save.

Important: Please only post in the thread to enter or update. PM/VM any questions to me. Thanks!

Rules:
-Pick ONE type(Dual typed pokemon are allowed), 3 Generations, 3 Pokemon(One from each of your picked generations) Example: If you pick electric and gens 1, 2 and 4 and wish to use Pichu, Raichu, Electivire your welcome to start with Pichu, Pichu, Elekid so long as ONE pichu evolves and the elekid is evolved. No two fully evolved pokemon on your team can be from the same generation.

-You must have at least one of your team before getting the first gym badge(I recently found out you can trade on wifi without the first badge as long as you use the wifi room in Oreburgh)

-Only those using emulators to play may use action replay or gameshark ONLY to obtain their team at as low a level as possible(This makes it fair and shall be classed as a trade). Please state if your doing this when you apply.

-No legendaries to be used but your welcome to use any of the other 458 Pokemon(I don't count Rotom as a legendary).

-HM Slaves are permitted as is catching Pokemon to fill your dex but no leveling them up(Its easy to find a slave to use for HM's without leveling them up)

-Your welcome to trade eggs into your game to get your party.

-Only PokeBalls, including custom, may be used to catch legendaries. This means you cannot use the following: Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Master Ball

-Your challenge ends when you have done the following:

• Caught all 3 gen 4 mascots(Dialga, Palkia, Giratina)
• Caught Heatran
• Caught all 5 roaming pokemon
• Gotten at least Silver Prints from all challenges in the Battle Frontier

Well heres an update from what I did before the posting of this challenge. I'll be posting my updates in two styles, one a story form and the other an event list.

Chapter one: A new beginning with so many challenges

Story:

After watching a tv show about Prof Rowan, my friend Barry wanted to head off and meet him. Just as Barry was about to enter the tall grass a voice called out to stop him, the voice we found out belonged to Prof Rowan. Shocked that we would do something reckless to get a Pokemon, Rowan decided to give us a Pokemon. I picked Turtwig and Barry got aChimchar . After a brief talk, Rowan left to his lab and me and Barry had a battle which I won. After resting at home for a bit I headed out to go thank Rowan but bumped into Barry who wanted to try catch the rumored Legendary Lake Pokemon though we soon realized we didn't have any Pokeballs. While at the lake we spotted an odd man, I wonder what hes doing..Well anyway I now headed to Rowan's lab to thank him. Upon arriving I was greeted by Dawn who took me into the lab. After a long talk Rowan gave me a Pokedex! So now my journey begins. After a quick run home to let my mum know what was happening, I proceeded towards Jubilife city. Just as I exited Sandgem I saw Dawn again and she taught me how to use pokeballs and even gave me 5! What a nice girl. Before leaving Sandgem I did a quick trade with my cousin and got 3 eggs, a Horsea, Dratini and Gible egg. After a short run Horsea hatched, I was so proud. I began training Horsea while waiting for the others to hatch but then I continued on my way and battled a few trainers before finally reaching Jubilife. Dawn showed me around and we saw another odd man, this one claiming to be a detective. After talking to the man, Dawn left and I went to the Pokemon school to deliver a parcel Barry's mother had asked me to give him. After he opened it he gave me the spare Town Map! I battled some trainers in the school and won a potion. I left Jubilife after getting a Poketch and headed for Orebuergh town. While in Oreburgh both Dratini and Gible hatched and my true training began. Soon I felt I was ready for the gym leader. I entered the gym and defeated two trainers before getting to the leader. With Horsea's help I easily defeated Roark and earned the Coal badge. He was shocked at my victory and gave me a TM as a congratulatory gift. Happy with my win I left Oreburgh and returned to Jubilife where I saw Rowan and Dawn being pestered by some strange looking people. After a heated argument me and Dawn teamed up and defeated these people who call themselves Team Galactic. After explaining his research into Pokemon Evolution, Rowan and Dawn left and I proceeded to Floaroma town. It seems Team Galactic is causing trouble here too. As I was leaving I was approached by a little girl who seemed scared. She explained her dad was being kept hostage at the Windworks by Team Galactic. I told her everything would be alright and ran to the Windworks were I started battling Team Galactic. After defeating one member, he ran inside and locked me out. Luckily I had spotted two members in Floaroma. I ran back and found them harassing a guy about some Honey stuff so I defeated them. They dropped a key to the Windworks which I took and used to get inside where I encountered two more members and a Commander. I quickly defeated the Commander and they left. After watching a heartfelt reunion I left and headed to Eterna forest where I met a girl named Cheryl. We teamed up and I started some serious training with her help...

Events:

• Named myself Lucas and my rival Barry
• Chose Turtwig as my starter
• Got 3 eggs in a trade, first to hatch was Horsea.
• Trained my team before Oreburgh gym, Dratini and Gible hatched.
• Took on Oreburgh gym and won using only Horsea
• Left to Jubilife and defeated Team Galactic
• Journeyed to Eterna forest and started training with Cheryl

Update 2

Chapter 2: Overgrowth at Eterna City!

After rigorous training in the Eterna Forest I proceeded to Eterna City and visited the Pokemon Center. After a quick rest at the Pokemon Center I searched for the gym, where I bumped into a lady named Gardenia. Turns out shes the gym leader! She told me about how Barry had told her a strong challenger was coming, She said she believed it to be me. After a quick chat she returned into the gym and I proceeded inside where I had to defeat 3 trainers before being able to fight Gardenia. I flew through the battles with the trainers with the help of my friends and in no time I was standing at the arena facing down Gardenia. She sent out her first Pokemon, a Turtwig! After a quick decision I called upon Horsea(which I had recently nicknamed Draking). With an effortless try, Draking took down Turtwig with a single Ice Beam. But I couldn't celebrate for long as Gardenia sent out Cherubi. Though it had the speed it couldn't deal with the might of my Draking and fell much like Turtwig, after being hit by a powerful Ice Beam. For her third Pokemon, Gardenia sent out a Roserade. It looked tough and managed to deal some damage to Draking, nearly KO'ing him. But luck was on my side and Draking got in a critical hit with its Ice Beam, winning the match. I earned a Forest Badge! After a quick celebratory pose, Gardenia walked over and handed me the badge and a TM, telling me how proud she was to have fought me. After we finished talking I left and headed to the Pokemon Center to heal, while there I learned that some Pokemon had disappeared. Sounds like that weird Team Galactic are up to no good again. After my Pokemon had healed I headed to the Galactic Building in Eterna City where Barry bumped into me. After a quick tour of the Statue at Eterna and another encounter with the weird man from the lake, Barry left and I proceeded back to the Galactic building. Before I could enter a young lady named Cynthia showed up and talked with me. She seems nice and yet..I feel I know her from somewhere. Before she left she gave me the HM for cut! Wow shes awesome. I then entered the building and made my way to the top, defeating all grunts along the way. At the top I encountered another Commander, though as much as they claimed to be tough I still beat them. After a short word from them they left and the Pokemon they stole were returned, the Bike Shop owner was so happy he gave me a free Bike. I also saw Cynthia again and she gave me a Pokemon Egg. I wonder what else will happen during my journey..

-Defeated Gardenia and earned the Forest Badge
-Obtained the HM cut
-Defeated Team Galactic
-Obtained a Bike
-Received Pokemon Egg

Chapter 3: Don't have a ghost of a chance!

Having freed Eterna from the troubles of Team Galactic and receiving an Egg and Bike, I proceeded to leave and headed south. I encountered many trainers as I traveled over the bicycle road, defeating them with ease. After leaving the bicycle road I found a dark cave, I could tell it would be a good training spot. As I proceeded through the cave I encountered a lost girl named Mira. I decided to help Mira exit the cave and made a friend as we traveled. Her Kadabra was shockingly powerful when teamed up with my friends. After helping Mira to exit the cave I headed towards Mt Coronet where Dawn ran up to me. She had a gift for me that would help in my training, a VS seeker. She also gave me an Item Finder App for my Poketch. After she left I entered a cave in the mountain, where I once again encountered that man. I still wonder what he is up to. After he left I proceeded to the other side of the cave and exited. I headed across some bridges and defeated some trainers before entering HeartHome. Just after entering I bumped into a buneary moments before its trainer came running up. She returned it to its Pokeball and told me I could find her at the contest hall. After she left I explored the city and found it had a gym! Though I stopped off at the Pokemon Fan Club and was gifted a Poffin Case. After getting the Poffin Case I headed to the Contest hall where I bumped into mum. Seems she knew the girl, whose name was Keira. After a small talk Mum gave me a tux and said I should try my hand at contests. Well guess I'll try them some time in the future. After a quick look around the contest hall I encountered Fantina, the local gym leader. She left to await me in the gym and I followed, easily making my way to her. Though my first challenge ended with my defeat, I returned and got my revenge. I managed to defeat all her Pokemon though only barely. I had just earned the Relic badge! After getting a gift of a TM from her I left and healed before attempting to continue my journey, only to bump into Barry once more. He challenged me to a Pokemon Battle which I easily won without taking my damage. Now my journey continues into the distance..

Chapter 4: Fists of Stone

After defeating Barry I proceeded to travel towards Veilstone. I stopped off at Solaceon for a good look around before continuing my journey. While in Solaceon I toured the ruins where I found some good items. I left Solaceon and headed to Veilstone, battling some powerful trainers a long the way. As I entered the city I noticed some Galactic grunts standing around. I ignored them for now and headed to the Pokemon Center. After healing I headed to the gym where I bumped into Dawn, she seemed a bit upset but wouldn't explain why. As we were talking a man came out of the gym singing loudly. He introduced himself as Crasher Wake, gym leader of Pastoria town. After he left Dawn followed suit and I entered the gym, defeating some trainers before challenging the gym leader. After a quick battle I managed to defeat her team with my friend Drakon(gabite) though he was weakened badly. I had earned the Cobble Badge! Maylene also gave me a TM. After defeating her I left to go heal but bumped into Dawn again. Seems the reason she was upset is because the grunts had stolen her Pokedex. She told me to meet her at the spot then left so I ran to the Pokemon Center and healed then hurried to find her. Once I found her we teamed up and took down the grunts. After getting her Pokedex back that Looker guy showed up again. Dawn left and Looker took me into a warehouse where I found the HM for Fly. Now my journey will become more interesting...

-Got to Veilstone
-Met Crasher Wake
-Defeated Maylene
-Earned the Cobble badge

-Helped Dawn get her Pokedex back

mmkay, i got platinum (finally) so i'll be starting within the day.

-Sigh- I'm not feeling very fun and original. Don't think I'm going to post the story version.

Part 1: Rockin' in Oreburgh City!

-Told Rowan that I was a boy
-Named myself A, and my friend Kyle
-Got a Turtwig, and beat Kyle with it
-Got scolded by mom, but got running shoes to go see Rowan
-Met Cyrus
-Talked to Rowan, named Turtwig "HM Slave 1". Also got a Pokedex
-Got a present for Kyle
-Learned how to catch Pokemon
-Caught a Bidoof and Starly, naming them "HM Slave 2" and "HM Slave 3"
-Delivered Package, got Poketch and Vs. Checker
-Traded over 3 eggs
-Hatched 3 eggs ("Tank" the Turtwig, "Spike" the Rhyhorn, and "Spinner" the Baltoy")
-Beat Roark (things get sorta hazy now, I did a whole bunch and then tried typing this all)
-Stopped Team Galactic
-Went with Cheryl through the forest
-Attempted 4 times to beat Gardenia, and decided that training needed to be done

Chapter 2: The Phantom Menace
-Beat Gardenia on my about 15th try
-Saved People and got a bike
-Got to Hearthome City
-Realized how much I hate my team as I lost to Fantina for the 20th time
-Barely beat her on the 21st
-Beat Kyle (I'm not too sure when this happened but I beat him again)
-Made it to Veilstone

Oh my God, i finally got a Rhydon. I got to Candice with my ground team, but knew I couldn't beat her. So I went back and evolved my Rhyhorn. So. Much. Grinding. And yet, I still can't beat Candice's Froslass.

Nice Myrrhman. Well I forgot to update a lot >< Heres a quick run through

-Trained at Iron Island

-Did the Team Galactic event with distortion world and fled from Giratina(didn't have any custom balls ><)
-Training to take on Volkner.

Though I'm in a bit of a pickle cause I got HG recently so I'll be slow with this challenge lol but I haven't given up =) I'm just going to be slow

Uhhh, and when it comes to the Frontier and such are you allowed to re-train your Pokemon? Like, if you choose Lucario as a Pokemon, would you be able to breed and raise another one later on, or do you have to complete the challenge with the ones you started with?

I finally beat Candice. With sensational luck from Rhydon. Against Froslass, quick claw activated, and I flinched it with Fire Fang. Then, Blizzard missed, and I killed it with the second fang. Phew.

Anyways, I went a considerable bit farther, and got to Distortion World. I'm gearing up for the battle with Cyrus.

You gotta use the same team you start with. Though if enough people voted then I guess it would be no problem since it would make the challenge harder as you would have to use only the new ones as your main team O.O Heck running through with level 1's to train for the BF would be horrible lol.

As for my challenge still in the training >< Can't find any good Pokemon to train against that give good EXP.
