    Let's talk about trolls.

Well, I for one can be one. But only on YouTube, because everyone's stupid there. I'm never a 4chan troll.

Any case, I find other trolls to be interesting. Most troll on one person from what I know, especially Justin Bieber, Steve Jobs, etc.

I however troll on anything. Even on something I don't even know about. Which makes me a successful troll.

    So yeah, your stories/experiences?

I don't think I've ever been a troll myself, but to be honest? I find them really entertaining when they do their job tastefully. Yes, I did just use the words "troll" and "tasteful" in the same post, but what are you gonna do about it?
    /trololololol

But really, they do get on my nerves depending on who they're trolling and how they go about doing it. :|

Trolling is by large, only funny to the person or group in which is initiating it, after that, it can just seem sad.

Everyone should be a troll. It'll make your life sooo much easier to just join them, rather than fight it. Plus, they do it for a reason... it's fun. Obviously, most people go way too far with it though. Especially on youtube.

^ We can tell you've already jumped on the wagon of the troll-train! ;D

    I'm never a troll..on purpose.

Sometimes I am overly defensive, arrogant, and hot-headed. Oh, and sometimes overly-sarcastic. But that's just how I act online (strangely not in real life, but oh well.)

However I am never intentionally a troll.

I can't really think of any experiences with a troll right now..it happens a lot so there is no particular moment I remember right off the bat. However, I do troll Youtube videos intentionally if they say something homophobic/racist/sexist/etc and mean it.

While most trolls are incredibly annoying and distinctly unfunny, some people do it simply brilliantly. On Youtube there are some brilliant trolls, but they are very rare. The most hilarious trolls are the ones that don't simply spouting memes, they are the satirists, those who come up with good insults. Heres a (admittedly not brilliant) example I quote routinely:

Bad Troll: sO i hErD u LiEk MuDkIpZ?
Good Troll: Oh my god, your stupidity is so intense it's burning me the face.
Bad Troll: oH yEaH. SuCk OcToPuS aNd GeT tHe **** OuT!

Trolling is one of the most fun things I've ever done, but I had to stop because, as is expected, I kept getting banned for it too much.

I have never trolled, but if i had to, i would attack the mario fanbase. (Not that i would want to.)

I'm a troll with a big fat club. I troll all the time but nobody but the person I'm trolling can tell >__> I'm just that special.

Not like I ever have to troll anymore. New members aren't as dumb as they used to be.

I find lulz in trolling Yahoo! Answers and TinyChat.

We need to distinguish between the evil trolls who go about trolling memorial pages of kids who committed suicide and harmless trolling.

i've been accused of trolling myself; apparently disagreeing with the wrong people and being associated with a certain "crowd" makes one a troll. i've never actually had trolling intentions, i'm never out to make anyone angry- people tend to find reasons to stick an undesirable label on your forehead over a difference in perspective, and refuse to look deeper into people's motives.

it's funny how you can get penalized for "trolling" here, but the grounds aren't very clear. i don't understand how staff manages to get away with spamming the forums and indicating disrespect toward other members (look at Sydian's recent "noob" persona, Arcanine's latest blog parodying Pachy, Went's ongoing spat with Fox that turned into an unjustified ban). nice example you're setting, community leaders. in agreement with something Cassino said awhile back about our staff, i don't expect much else from teenagers (what's funny is that some of these guys breach 20).

I'm no good at trolling myself, but I do enjoy picking them out when it happens. I nearly consider it hobby.

'Noodle makes a point- determine the intentions of a person before branding them as a troll. Please. Especially those with moderator positions, because that's your job here, dude.

Oh god not that word, the upper's will have to ban us all for being affiliated with the dreaded "troll"
Quick hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband because the pc staff is raping everybody out here.

I've become a habitual troll whenever I mosey on over to 4chan or youtube comments just for the fun of it. I am admittedly, a pretty bad troll, but most people on anon boards or Youtube comments can't tell the difference and bite anyways. XD

I'll occasionally troll up GameFAQs, only because I don't wanna lose my account there. XD

PC is a no-no for trolling, because I care for this place far more than I do anywhere else I have an account. :P

    ....Arcanine's latest blog parodying Pachy...

If that was indeed a troll, fail troll has failed. I found that entry absolutely amazing~

But with that being said, I can be quite a masterful troll when I feel the situation warrants it. As a result of this 'Trolling' I've got no insignificant number of anti-fans. :P

Still, I don't troll nearly enough...trolling far too often gets OLD...and so that's why silly folks end up banned, because they take it past the stopping point or troll so violently...to the point where they shatter the tact barrier.

So when I troll, I do so with tact...and I try not to make it too bad. In the end, people end up finding my trolls too epic. I say that I'm a master troll, even if you couldn't ever get them to admit it for a free million dollar check.

I never troll. Some people have the skills to be good trolls, but others should just stay on the sidelines and watch the lulz roll in. I haven't come across any trolls yet. Mainly because trolls like to go after people who act like a n00b and who think they are all that. When that happens, just sit back and let the lolcow be milked.

I've... never thought of that really. =\ Though if I were to be one, it would be on Youtube~ XD
Everything goes on there, plus if your account gets suspended, you can just make a new one. =P

I've been a troll all of my life. Not as much on here, though. I troll everyone, no matter how amazing they are. If I don't like them: They're being trolled.

I was going to post a long response to the part about "people trolling Steve Jobs," but I put that in my blog instead. Suffice it to say I hate that man with a passion.

As for trolling, I understand why people do it. In a way, it is funny to watch people get offended over something that I find silly. However, I try not to do it myself, because while I might think the issue at hand is silly, clearly they don't, and I don't want to upset people even if they are being emotional over something silly.
