Have to download Visual Studio 2012 and Visio 2013 for a class. Oh how fun this will be.
What type of internet service is your family getting to the house? DSL or cable/fiber?So, I'm going to butt in with something that's been on my mind lately, and something I'm sure many have had to deal with before: terrible ISPs.
Specifically, my parents have had service from a company called Consolidated Communications since we moved into our current home. We had hoped to keep our previous ISP, but unfortunately, Consolidated has a monopoly on our entire area. We've tried to find others, but as we are a little bit in the country, that doesn't seem to be possible. There service has usually ranged from "bad" to "somewhat acceptable", though recently has become nearly unusable. This happened fairly recently, after I began doing regular YouTube uploads again, and I feel it is an upload speed issue (speed tests show Download speed of 16mbps but an upload speed of only 0.08mbps). Thoughts?
Some Samsung devices are heavily locked down, though and cannot be rooted/loaded with a custom ROM. I know that the Galaxy 4 tablet I had for a few months (before passing it onto my father) didn't have any custom ROMs available for it, and the most I could do was get TWRP on it and have it rooted. It really is hideous, hence why I rooted and put a ROM on my Samsung phone as soon as I could.
Just drop in to post some stuff so Zach won't miss me : ).
So, my dad recently want to buy a new Iphone SE to replace his Iphone 4 cuz it's very slow and kills battery. For me, Iphone SE would be a great idea for him but I wonder Apple company about old phones.
I mean, old phones like Iphone 4 and 4s still able to run smoothly on some apps but why they still do not support those old fellas? I wish they could just introduce ios that capable to run old device smoothly and continuing support for previous generations of Iphones.
So... When it comes to gaming settings decisions, what would you rather have? Screen tearing or input lag? As many of you might know the V-Sync feature forces the game to update screens at the display rate, (FPS) but sometimes add an input lag (Mouse jittering and keyboard input delay). I've been in some situations that this was inevitable, at least I couldn't fix it. I used to go play CoD 2 at a cyber cafe, in these cases I had to turn V-Sync off, otherwise I would've sucked at aiming :P But there are some cases where is ultimately up to preference (Single Player Games). I'm a performance freak, I would sacrifice the last pixel in the screen for a few FPSs more :P How about you?
Interesting. **** us AMD users :(
I hope that doesn't consume too much power like NVIDIA loves to do.
Screen Tearing for sure. I'd rather have a smaller Twitter here and there then deal with input lag causing me to lose over and over again because the bosses hitbox was altered 2 seconds earlier then the screen showed mr.
Sure, technology evolves for that reason, to eliminate issues. If we were talking about a hypothetical no solution ever scenario, screen tearing is the lesser of two evils in the end.
