    Well, I've been thinking... There HAVE been 3 games in the original series, and crystal wasn't as drastically different than the other two in its series, like yellow was, so I was wondering...

    Do you think there'll be 3 games in this series? Or just the two, Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Three somewhat similar games in the series, but in the last remake, FR/LG, there were only TWO... So, what do you think there gonna do? Just leave it as is, or "surprise" us with a new one, like they have every time so far (except, of course, FR/LG)?

    No, I don't think they will remake Crystal, because they put all of Crystal's extra features in HGSS.
    And Yellow is not comparable to Crystal. Yellow is just anime-based fan service game. (HGSS is fan service too to an extent, but Yellow is different.)
     
    This was discussed months earlier, and the same answer stands, no. You've mentioned that all of the games received a third counterpart, except FireRed and LeafGreen. If you think why, you'll realize that FRLG were remakes as are HeartGold and SoulSilver. However, those that did gain a third game about a year later were all new generations introduced. For example, when Ruby and Sapphire came out it was introducing the Hoenn region, then not too long after a counterpart came out, Emerald with a slight twist and additions. The same case happened for DPPt as well. So, with this being said, because these two games are remakes rather than a new generation as a whole, then I don't believe a Crystal remake might be coming. Not to mention, it just isn't a needed figure right now.

    I certainly hope for the Game Love Crystal, Crystal was the best game up til now. I'd eat my pie just to know it's coming.

    They never made an "ElectricYellow" or anything of the sort.
    So I doubt it, highly.
     
    I don't think there will be a Crystal remake, as a lot of the additions which were in the original Crystal will be found in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Although I would like it if they made one, I don't really see where they can go with it.
     
    This is kinda like a thread I started a month or 2 ago that got closed for being in the wrong area. As for my opinion I'm pretty certain that there isn't going to be a spirit crystal, not gonna explain why because I don't really feel like repeating myself, and the above posts pretty much sum it up. And if there was i probably wouldn't buy it, I only get one game per region cause we don't have a lot of money.
     
    No Crystal remake:
    1. HG/SS have some Crystal features already
    2. There isn't a Yellow remake
     
    This discussion has been had before to death... Considering everything major about Crystal (like the Suicune subplot + Eusine, and a Battle Tower - although HG/SS has that and the rest of the Frontier) is in HG/SS, and that FR/LG didn't have a third counterpart as well... it's just very unlikely there'll be a third one now as well. If anything you can consider HG/SS a duo set of Crystal remakes as evrything in Crystal bar the Odd egg (hardly a major feature) and Crystal's female protagonist (they won't make a game just to hav you play as her and replac Kotone like this).

    Don't see much point to talking about this over again... Closed.
