Anime/Manga uguu?

Yep. Definitely found out about Academia through Danbro. That along with Ace Attorney are getting TBD watches from me. 2016's gonna be a fun year for unexpected dates.
I knew about hero academia for a good while - you know, back when it had just started and that comic book fanart page where "Naruto passes his will to Deku" was all the rage. But I didn't start reading it for a good amount of time after that. Started it twice only to drop it at chapter 1. But then the third time, I successfully crossed the first chapter and I couldn't stop. Read the entire thing in two days. :D

Also, episode 18 of Osomatsu was...you guys need to watch this show. It was ****ing gold. And unlike episode 1, this one probably won't get thrown out.
My original plan was to wait till this season gets over. Or till this anime ends. Whichever happens first.

But I wouldn't really mind adding another series to my list if it means I'm gonna have bucketloads of fun. And Osomatsu-san is like 100% guaranteed fun - after all, having seen the first episode, I know it is the kind of series that appeals to me. <3

Talking of latest episodes though, have you seen Gintama's latests? :333

Pshh, have I caught up on Gintama? Guys, Dero wants to know if I've caught up on- wh-who the hell do you think I am, not catching up on...

...no. But I will, I've just been caught up in a lot of stuff, lately so I haven't really had time to devote. And I already decided I'm gonna eat the entire arc at once. It'll be delicious as hell :q

That's the thing that was bothering me after my hype went down. You'd expect to hear about it through an official announcement first (Bones did Ouran if I can remember(?)), but through one of the voice actors?
Are voice actors even allowed to talk about projects that haven't even been announced yet? - I assumed not.

It's just ... weird. I just want something official already.
I would agree that it's not something they should do, but it seems English VAs ignore that =D
I read similar things in gaming news =D

Speaking of English VAs, they announced the dubs for Prince of Stride and Dagashi (the latter of which is made up mostly of no names, though Coconuts is getting a pretty great voice actor. One of my favorites of the new generation, certainly).

No Ketsu dub, though. It's as if they know I'm holding out.

And they're teasing me.

The arc is already over and we're into a new serious arc now. XD Get to it asap, man. I'll be waiting to hear your opinions about it.

Also, Satoshi and his hatred for dubs. Stay classy, Satoshi. :v

The English VAs breaking news is probably because they may not be having them sign NDAs since the license holder they're working with is the one who purchased the dubbing rights and it's not like any of their competition can just actually steal the dubbing rights they already purchased.

Generally prefer not to watch dubs here. Unless they're highly recommended by a friend/critics. =b

I'm downloading Osomatsu-san right now, btw. Using my Web Technologies Laboratory's internet (double the speed we get at WiFi!), I've already managed to download about 9 episodes in HD so far :DDD Shall be starting on the series tonight. <3 Or tomorrow.

Time for weekly Marshmallow and maybe something else this time??!

Go with Macho's suggestion.

Also Marshmallow is pretty fun.

Brave Beats episode 1.

I wanted to make gifs, but it's something that should be experienced.

It definitely should be.

How far along are you on that? Kinda want to nerd out over it with someone when I get caught up.

Y'know I'll probably end up going back to watching animu as soon as I get a new external harddisk. Need to transfer all the animu in my folders somewhere.

Ojisan to Marshmallow is a fun short! Love the characters! <3;
Oshiete Galko-chan is another that continues being amusing for different reasons. XD;

On a side note, I started these anime yesterday:
Osomatsu-san
Shinsekai Yori
Selector Infected WIXOSS

I'm liking them all a lot. Have high hopes especially for Shinsekai Yori after hearing all the great comments about it. <3;

Get a 2TB one at least if you can. 1TB gets filled up faster than you can imagine. :p

Talk of hard disk reminds me - I never really got my own hard disk fixed. It had 900+GB of anime but I lost it all when it stopped working. And I never really bothered to get it fixed. I only have about 150-160GB of anime now. And since I've started deleting anime after I've seen them (unless I really like them), I don't really have any issues with my laptop's inbuilt 500GB HDD.

The one that crashed is still under warranty though. 3 years of warranty covers it. So here's to hope I manage to move my ass and get it swapped sometime soon lol.

In case if you're serious, then I'll provide you these links to back up my claim. The point is, Keijo is another example of everything wrong with modern anime, at least according to the western audience.
Well, I am serious, but that's a 22 minute video from some guy I don't know. Caaan't good and well say I'm enticed to jump into that.

But, really, anime wasn't on the brink of destruction before OPM, and looking at the effect it had on the industry as a whole- which is none, really (largely due to its presence as a web comic and manga), I don't really see it having saved anything.

[PokeCommunity.com] uguu?

It's all about manga, web comics, and L/W Novels.

JK, studios have to make $$$ and since they mostly just care about the Japanese market, they pander to the people willing to bring out the dough for expensive exclusives and tie-ins

Love ya, Miyazaki.

And yeah, but honestly if the pandering and like were so bad that it just made anime unenjoyable, I wouldn't watch. But there are a lot of anime that I like and if I'm ever in doubt there's just so much to remind me why I love it again. And that goes for a lot of people, really.
