Still no Oda Nonuna anime sequel though. Git good, Japan.

That being said it does look hilarious. Also a rare case of a LN series genuinely having nice artwork. Will watch, you know, If I'm watching airing toons whilst it airs.

You're the first person (apart from Netto on one occasion I guess?) who has named Oda Nobuna around these parts and seem to like the series. Gud taste m80. Loved the series so much myself.

Although I would've loved to see more, I felt pretty satisfied with how it ended. Don't quite remember the details but I remember that I thought that the series ended on a fine note.

No, I meant it more along the lines of "the arc ended on a relatively satisfying note" and not on a cliffhanger. Not the ending scene, specifically.

But damn does that pic make me wish for a second season. If we can get more of these hotties, why the heck not!?

Yeah, I knew what you meant. Was just being an arse.

As I've given up on a second series I guess I'll start with the novels. I think they're finished up to volume 11, which means 7 volumes of post anime material. Will start from the beginning though as it has been years.

That chitoge sprite is absolutely adorable.

I'm curious about the stuff that happens later on too but not enough to pick up the light novels. Not an LN guy myself tbh. Hope you have fun though!

Indeed.

Speaking of, any word on LN official translation quality? Read a bit of DRRR!, Danmachi (I think), and some others, but not really enough to get a good feel. They're a lot more of an investment than mangoes and generally I don't really have the time to give 'em a readthrough.

They vary. From series to series, publisher to publisher and of course translator to translator. What makes a 'good' translation will also vary from person to person, some want it to be hyper literal and some are happy with the translator trying to give it something resembling flow.

I've been happy with a few translations from Seven Seas publishing, although I don't know for sure if they would have been the ones commissioning translations. Could have just bought up an expired license.

Which Seven Seas books in particular?

You've not lived until you've waited weeks and weeks for a new chapter of a poorly translated Naruto sequel/filler novel.

I remember reading the Kizumonogatari novel as it was being translated. Don't think that person did a bad job at all.

Edit - RIP thread, it appears I have killed you.

Well, I could gush about how much I loved the newest episode of Super and then bitch about how no one else is watching it.

But no one wants to hear that, so.

On a whim, starting Yuruyuri and Yuyushiki. Very weird seeing the lack of doritos and mountain dew in the former's opening. "Akariiiiiin" gave me a very real sense of "Something's wrong here".

Well some of us are dawdling our way through Kai alongside Toonami since Super is not easily accessible Stateside and I don't feel like digging.

... also, the hell kind of vids have you been watching regarding Yuru Yuri that "Akariiiiiin" would give you the sense "Something's wrong here"?
