I like Shinobu more than any other character though I think. She's just too fabulous. And her laugh. Ka ka.

Edit:

Some really qwality Monogatari songs on youtube, wew.

Edit2:
Now that I've listened to them a few times...I can easily say HanaKana's songs are my fave OPs in the series. Nadeko's OPs are just the best sounding to me. Both of them are great. <3

Mousou Express, Nadeko's second opening, is my favorite Monogatari opening. Renai Circulation's popular, but I didn't really watch it. I believe I mostly watched Coalgirls and they cut the openings of Bake, so I only saw them on occasion. Saw them much more later but...

...Well. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Weed Circulation is closer to my heart than Renai. I think second would probably be Platinum Disco or the brilliant Kaikigahara opening. Then Karen Bee's and finally Tsuki's.

Yeah, surprisingly, unlike most things dealing with openings I actually have the rankings for Monogatari pretty clear in my head. Mainly because, unfortunately, this series has a number of openings I don't really like, which is rare for shows I like. Namely, the Senjougahara openings, Chocolate Insomnia, and Hachikuji's.

Its endings are delicious as hell, though. Especially Second Season's. Soooo good.

I just finished Shinobu's arc. Effectively ending Monogatari Series Second Season. And I cried. I cried so hard.

Just thinking back on all those stupid moments Araragi and Hachikuji had all this time makes me tear up. ****.

Are there anyone who loves Dark/Tanned Skinned Anime girls beside me ????

Actually, on the topic of HanaKana, I happen to like her best when she's not quite right in the head.

Like, my favorite opening of Monogatari is Mousou, and my favorite ending in Nisekoi is Recover Decoration, despite the fact that it's a character song for someone I don't like. But that's the thing, ever since the OVA I've wanted Onodera to become a full-on sexual deviant with odd fetishes, and Recover Decoration is kinda that. It's Shafty as hell and ends with her killing Raku with his head exploding. The lyrics are kind of...obsessive and stalkery. And I want that Onodera. I need her.

Also, Ren Kogyouku. And Marimo from Teekyu. Yeah, definitely like her most when she's just a little bit off.

I welcome you to the world of nostalgic and emotionally loaded Hachikuji MADs.

Spoiler:

I can understand. I think I found the second opening more appealing than Renai Circulation too. :3 Her performances in relatively eerie/mentally unsound roles fall into my area of preference too.

But boy, talk about having a good singing voice. I didn't know she could sing. Nowhere near as close as my favorite Nana Mizuki but still damn good.

People started linking me to it when I posted about me crying while watching the series on facebook. You know, this doesn't really help matters much. :(

Ironic how I made my current set AND then went on to watch that arc. And now I'm reminded of what happens (sort of) everytime I post and look at my own set.

"Sorry, I bit your tongue"

For some reason, that's what her dialogue is supposed to be at the end and yet the subs I had said "Sorry, I stuttered". The former makes it so much more better of a farewell. ;__;

That video made me remember it again.

I don't think anything will help for a bit, heh. My feels were violently ravaged today, after all. It'll take some time.

Oi, that's gonna be a super painful page to load. Especially for phone people.

Though I think "nostalgic" might be stretching it for Dero, considering he basically marathoned the show. Emotionally loaded, though, is still valid. Though I'm pretty confused, Dero. You said, "I just finished Shinobu's arc. Effectively ending Monogatari Series Second Season."

...What order did you watch it in? 'Cause her arc wasn't last.

That's an accurate term to refer to my state. I just finished it, I mean. Yeah. :( And I just realized that. We've been spamming videos there, me and pokey XD;

Yeah, the guy who gave it to me had the episodes all out of order (because he downloaded the episodes from various different subgroups) and never bothered to fix the numbering. Like, there were multiple episode 15s and 17s and the numbering was all over the place. So I asked him in which order I was supposed to watch it. He recommended me to watch the first fifteen episodes in order. Which covered Hanekawa's arc, Hachikuji's future arc and Nadeko's initial GOD MODE arc. Then I watched Kaikigahara and then Shinobu's arc. I gotta say though, I liked it more this way.

This is only for Monogatari Series Second Season though. Rest I downloaded myself so there's no issue with the rest.

Huh, that's interesting.

Very, actually. Because you're response to Hachikuji kind of reminds me of my response to Kaiki. Makes sense, though, since going from Sengoku to Shinobu and then to Kaiki kinda lets the situation sit, so outcome of initial Sengoku's a lot more ominous, leaving a lingering thought that stayed at the back of my mind whenever a certain two showed their faces.

And the ending of Kaiki left me with chills. Same with Shinobu, I'd imagine, but...there was a good break in between Shinobu and Kaiki, mainly because I didn't have high expectations for Kaiki's arc and just let it sit for...a good while. Months, I think. Turned out loving it, and what with it being the end of Second Season, I remember what I felt at the time pretty well.

But now that I talk about this...huh. Huuuuh. Well, this is weird. My memories on the subject are...not the clearest, but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. I watched Kaiki last and liked it a lot, but I watched it so long after Shinobu that I barely associate them with each other. Neurologically, I mean; it isn't intentional. But yeah, I...*think*...I felt a lot at the end of that one. Pretty sure that was one of those episodes where I just sat at a blank screen that only read "This is the last file in your folder" with either a dropped jaw or my hand over my mouth in contemplation. It had to have hit me pretty hard, considering it was well executed and Hachikuji's ****ING HACHIKUJI. My heart isn't stone, i****ingluvher.

It's like what I said about my feelings for Steins;Gate. This bit:
But hearing this incredibly high praise kind of skews my vision of what I liked about it. I couldn't tell you how I felt when I finished it, other than that I liked it a lot.
but instead of it being because of the series' overhype, it's because of...something else? Because the more I think about it, the reasons for my Kaiki chills were compounded by a lot of things about that specific episode (well, and Kaiki confirmed best girl, so the chills were inevitable), but Hachikuji definitely made me feel pain. I think. My memories are super fragmented.

...Oh, machomuu is a very confused machomuu right now, I feel like an amnesiac who can only slightly remember something important. My eyes are goin' all guru guru thinking about this.
