I will usually watch any anime no matter what Genre it is but I find Slice of Life animes to be too similar in that they don't really have character progression, obviously a few are exceptions but I find it interesting that animes which are supposed to be more to real life don't seem to develop good characters.
Also I try to avoid 95% of animes which use OTT comedic scenes like someone being kicked into space or who gets thrown through a window and laughs it off as if it was nothing. Those animes really take the biscuit for me lol

Ugh... Yaoi is just a big no-no for me. I can't stand reading/watching it.
However, I actually don't mind harems, as long as the main character isn't a total wimp.
