Ultima: A Trainer's Quest

"The closest Crest would be the Crest of Strength, in Pewter City." Maya explained. "Whoever defeats Brock will carry that Crest to Indigo...but be warned, despite his friendly and laid back demeanor, Brock will put up a good challenge in battle."
 
Rey picked up Eevee and put it on his shoulder.

Rey: So. To Pewter then!
 
"The strength crest, eh?" Kelly said, walking back to the group with Mewsy on her head. She sat down "Well we can beat 'im can't we Mewsy?" She asked confidently. "Nya!!" Mewsy let out a squeak of determination. She thought she could do it too. "So who gets to do it then? Can we?" Kelly asked excited. She leaned in foward, waiting for the reply. Mewsy leaned in too, still on Kelly's head.
 
Rey: I dunno. I did some reading and Brock has rock type. I don't think Normal types are gonna be effective. I suggest the trainer with the Todadile.
Eevee fell asleep on his head.
Rey looked up at him and continued.
Rey: So where is the Todadile?
 
Just then, a Ninetales poked her head from the grass, interested in all the trainers.

"This is Raye..." Maya smiled as she gave the Ninetales a hug. "She and Serena will stand guard at night."

"Nine!" Raye barked, as if to say hello.
 
OOC: I going to get my first pokemon and catch up. I may just back track.

Mike heard the story about the Crest from Ash. Soon after that Ash leaded the way outside so Mike followed them out. THen he relize tha the didn't have a pokemon so right before he left the room he grab a pokeball with a fire symbol on it. "Hopefully this is a charmander ball." and then the left out.

Mike was just listening to the converastion about the Crest and the first crest which belongs to Brock. "What a deal i got into. Insead of badges I get crest." THen he looked at the pokeball and said, "Go charmander!"

He looked at the charmander then at his book. ?You a female but him? I call you Char.?

The Charmander giggle and smiled.
Mike smiled and said, ?Well we got a big challenge up a head and we got a big gym badge battle up a head. Can you figth a rock type??

Char just gave a puzzling look and Mike explained, ?We figth but you may not put up much of a battle unless you learn Metal Claw. But we got time.?

Mike grab his camara and got ready to take a picture of Char. Char just stood there and the camara flash. Char got back and Mike looked at the picture and showed Char. "Thats you."

CHar just smiled and let out a "Char man."

Mike then notice the Ninetails and Dewdong and said, "I got to get a picture of these rare pokemon." He snap a picture of each and said, "They must be powerful."

"So, How do we battle for these Crest?" asked Mike with Char on his side ready to listen
 
Leon looked at Rey, "don't forget the other water pokemon, my Bulbasaur would also work, but If my restaurant says that the next Gym leader after Brock, is miss Misty, and her pokemon are water, so my pokemon or the trainer with the Pikachu, but I volunteer to battle her, oh and before we get to GYM battle, don't we need to learn about catching a pokemon? I tread and watch some stuff about it, but I've never seen it don?t, I hear there are some Sp near the town a head, that?s the one I want to catch." Leon said as his Bulbasaur jumped off his should and on to his head. Leon then looked at the fox pokemon, "I like Seel?s and Spearow's but ninetails and Vulpix are my favorites." Leon said looking closely at the ninetails wishing he could pet it.
 
Rey: Yup. We gots some training to do. Come on Eevee!
Eevee was still asleep on his head. Rey poked it a little and it woke up curiously.
Rey: Now that your awake, let's go!
Eevee growled playfully and jumped off his head.
 
"Okay...we have catchable Pokemon out here...so here's how you catch a Pokemon." Maya started, only interrputed by a few Pidgey landing in the grass. She then whistled, startling everyone. "Here, Lita!"

"Pikachu!" a Pikachu called back as it darted up to challenge a Pidgey.

"The first and foremost thing to remember in battle is type alignments..." Maya explained. "In this example, Electric types are great against Flying types such as Pidgey."

"CHUUU!!!" Lita fired a Thundershock at the Pidgey, sending it falling into the grass.

"Wait..." Maya called to Lita, then explained "When the Pokemon is weakened...that's when you throw the ball." With that, she haved the Poke Ball at the Pidgey, watching the ball as it wiggled...

One...

Two...

Three...

Maya retrieved the Ball just as its center returned to normal. "Who would like this Pidgey?"
 
Rey: Cool. She catches Pokemon like an expert.

Rey: Can I have it please?
Eevee looked at the pokeball.
 
"Okay, since you asked so nice..." and Maya handed the Poke Ball containing the Pidgey to a boy with an Eevee. She then proceeded to give everyone some Poke Balls. "If you'd like to try and catch a Pokemon, now's your chance!"
 
Rey: Yay! Thanks!
He got the pokeballs from her.
Rey: All right Eevee. Let's go.
Eevee nodded in agreement and proceeded into the grass.
 
Leon stood their standing thought " Drat, none of the pokemon in this area interesting me, when will we move on." ?Nice form, I haven't seen a trainer do that in a long time, on TV it's all battle battle battle, catching a good pokemon is much more important." Leon said still admiring, the ninetails he saw. "Um miss, do you mind if I wait, I would like a pokemon that I don't think is in this area but is close." Leon said taking the pokeballs
 
"If you don't want to catch a Pokemon now, that's fine; but wait for those that do want to catch something now." Maya assured the trainer. "If you don't want to cach anything now, fancy a ride aboard Mina?" she asked as a Pidgeot soared next to her.
 
OOC: HOLY SNAPS!! I'm behind 2 pages. :P You guys go fast huh.
Catch Up time.

IC: I followed closely to the group. As I talked to Pikachu, I noticed that Maya demonstrated catching pokemon. She caught a Pidgey with ease using another Pikachu. I looked at Pikachu, who stared back. "Piii?" I looked at me with confusion. "Oh nothing at all Pikachu. I should give you a nickname. Do you want one?" I asked. "Peeka." I said with a little anger. "Ok ok." I smiled at it. "We should catch some pokemon." I said to her. She looked around and shrugged. "I guess we can do some practice training. Oh what I'll do for a Dratini." I said and sighed because there weren't any close by. Pikachu and I practiced her Thundershocks and Quick Attacks while others searched for Pokemon. After a bit, we rested and joined Maya. "Hello miss." I said and gave a quick bow. "It is a pleasure to meet you." I bowed again out of respect. Pikachu gave me a weird look. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her giving me a weird look. "W-what?" I asked Pikachu with a curious look. She giggled softly.
 
Occ: same here
Aidan followed the group waiting patiently for Maya to stop talking. "umm miss, i never got my starter back at the lab. I was wondering if you had it with you or if i should run back and grab something?" Aidan asked. as he stood there waiting for a reply he watched the other trainers with there starters. "man i wish i had my pokemon." he thouhgt to himself.
 
Leon looked at the Pidgeot, "Wow I can't see why not, I can't wait till I catch that Spearow and it evolves so I can ride on it, I guess a quick ride won't hurt" he said climbing on the Pidgeot as it lift into the air. "Wow were already pretty high." He said as he looked down he saw the first GYM he saw besides the one in Celadon.
 
"The Crest of Strength, you say?" Amy asked to Maya's sentence.

"I'd say, that the other six Gym Leaders of Kanto posess the other Crests."
she said, pointing to her Sun Charm. It had a picture of the Ultima Coin on it.

However, Amy's Eevee came out, and started bouncing around. Amy looked at her Pokemon for just one moment.

"However, I think that Aidan and Liane should fight. I doubt that thoe others would beat Brock." She said.
 
"In case you missed getting your starters at the lab, I have them with me..." Maya assured a few trainers as she passed out some Poke Balls to those that did forget.

"And as for the final member of my team..." Maya gestured to a Kadabra humming in thought as it levitated in the grass. "This is Trista...she can "speak" through thought."
 
"Thank you so much." Aidan thanked her and walk toward Kelly. "hey Kelly, i got my Squirtle!" he exclaimed with that he let out his pokemon. the ball opened and let out the squirtle it was lighter blue then most and had a smoth shell. "hey there, little guy." he says talking to his pokemon. he rummages through his bag and pulls out a poke treat. here you go. he says giveing the small turtle the treat. "squirt... squirtle." it says happily eating the treat. "ok lets train a little bit." Aidan says to Squirtle. he moves to a patch of grass and starts scurrying looking for a pokemon to battle.
