Spoiler:

1.Pick Squirtle as starter and beat rival
2.level up squirtle to 10 before getting the parcel and deliver to prof. oak.
3.head to viridian forest,level up squirtle to lvl 18,let it evolve into wartortle
4.head to route 22 for optional rival battle,easy win.
5.return to viridian forest and level up wartortle to lvl 20
6.battle brock at pewter city,use one watergun ko his geodude and onix.
7.avoid most trainers on route 3,and mt.moon.
8. currently on mt.moon b2f,battling wild pokemon to level up wartortle

going to combine all the videos into one once i record them all..will do updates like the one above

3.Visit mr. pokemon house,got egg and defeat rival
4.head to route 30,caught male lvl 3 ledyba and female lvl 3 weedle

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Steel).

Update #3 on Black.

• In Chargestone Cave, I caught a female Ferroseed.
• Then I got a male Crustle, and leveled up a couple levels until it learned Stealth Rock.
• Using the Daycare, I bred a couple Ferroseed eggs. I kept the second one and named him Duran, and he had Stealth Rock!
• Training Duran up with the Lucky Egg, I went through Chargestone Cave to Mistralton City.
• Quickly scaled Celestial Tower, then took on the gym. Skyla wasn't very hard at all with my overleveled team.
• Beat Cheren and got Surf, then headed down to the P2 Laboratory, where I caught a Klink.
• Got some more vitamins at the Battle Subway.
• After beating all the trainers on Route 17 & 18, Klink evolved into Klank.
• I realized I had forgotten to name it, so I went to the Name Rater and christened Klank Gears.
• Entered and saved in Mistralton Cave.

Spoiler:

Dots is now lvl 14 and tries to evolve.
Though I'll keep it from evolving til 21 when it learns Synthesis.
I think Seedot / Nuzleaf are frail so they could use a healing move.
(All my other pokémon have Absorb / Leech Seed for self healing)

Brendan's Torchic is a pain in the ass!
It wouldn't be as much if Dots would obey though...
Shroomish could set up easily on it though,
Leech Seed to the victory!
It sadly had to sacrifice itself in the end though...

Got a Miracle Seed and gave it to Treecko!

Went to Dewford Town with the Boat!
Found Steven and delivered the Letter.

Treecko evolved into Grovyle!
Lotad evolved into Lombre!

Beat the Gym Leader.
Dots leveled to 21, learned Synthesis and evolved!

Now on to the next city!
Dots will finally obey us again, so that's a good thing!

Settled down all the commotion in Slateport and went to Mauville!

I didn't do a really detailed description last time,
but I'll make up for it this time!
I'll make more screens and tell you guys more about what's going on!

Spoiler:

On the previous Route we could get another Grass Pokémon, Oddish!
I'll be skipping out on it though, since my 2 last Grass types are already planned.
(You'll have to wait and see for yourselves, though I think they're pretty obvious!)

Let's head to the gym!
Wait there's an annoying kid blocking the entrance.
Oh, it's just Wally...
Dots got all the glory!
Nature Power --> Swift OHKO'd his Ralts...

Now that that is over, we can enter the Gym!

The gym trainers weren't hard, as usual.
Now on to Wattson!
I decided to go in with Grovyle and see how it goes...

Grovyle got Paralyzed on the first turn, Voltorb Seldestructed on second turn.
Grovyle survived but will probably be useless for the rest of the run!
Decided to put in Lombre! Electrike died but Lombre is down to Yellow Health and Paralyzed,
so I'll need to switch out...
The next pokémon Wattson is sending out is Magneton,
So Breloom will be our perfect match!
2 Mach Punches for the victory!
Paralyzed now though, so switching out now to heal it.
That didn't do any good...
Manectric got time to set up and kept swiping my members with Quick Attack.
I wiped...

I am a tiny bit underleveled so maybe I just have to take care of some of the trainers here.
Unfortunately Grovyle only learns Leaf Blade at level 29...

After Beating most of the trainers and getting all my pokémon to 25,
I decided to go for a rematch!
Lombre can start this time!
Voltorb Selfdestructed again and Lombre is down to Red Health.
Which means I'll be switching it out...
Go Grovyle!
3 Absorbs killed Electrike, now Magneton again.
Switch to Breloom!
2HKO!
Breloom is Paralyzed again, but this time I won't switch.
I'll just keep it in and have it set up Leech Seed.
This time Breloom did it!
Manectric even got Poisoned in the end while he was going to die the next turn anyway.

Now we're going to move on to the next town!
Route 111 wasn't a challenge at all.
Since I'm afraid to get too overleveled I'll be skipping some trainers.
We'll probably come back after the fourth gym though so don't worry!

I'm skipping forward a bit in the story...
Arriving at MT.Chimney!

The battles were fairly easy since the Numels and Camerupt hardly bothered to use fire moves...
I know I made a comment earlier about getting overleveled,
but we might actually need it for the next gym!
Flannery, the Fire gym!
Overheat will OHKO all my pokémon either way...
So I'll need great offensive moves...
Dots and Lombre are going to be pretty useless this time...
Though I can learn Dots Rock Tomb from the TM...
Useful as it sounds it's accuracy is terrible and Dots keeps missing :(

As expected Flannery baked and fried my Pokémon...
By the time she popped out Torkoal I only had Lombre left,
and well Lombre failed terribly...

With all my pokémon 30/31 and some luck on my side I finally beat Flannery!
Dots was a pain in the ass since once again it refused to obey!

Went to the Desert, got the Root Fossil, and revived it!
Now we have Lileep!
It's only lvl 20 and it won't learn any grass moves,
but we'll fix that with some grinding and TM's!
I have an Exp.Share so Lileep should be leveled in no time.

Next up is our Dad!
The fifth Gym!
My pokémon's levels should be ok right now so...
Breloom had a fun time swiping everything ^^

On our way to the next gym we caught our final team member Tropius!

1.level up ledyba to 10 on route 30. lvl up weedle to 8,let it evolve into kakuna.level up kakuna to 10,let it evolve into beedrill.
2.head to route 31,level up ledyba,let it evolve into ledian.level up two more levels to 20.level up beedrill to 20 as well.
3.defeated the sage in bellsprout to get HM05 Flash.
5.defeated falkner's pidgey and pidgeotto with ledian comet punch

I haven't been doing much on my Diamond run so this is just my Crystal flying monotype.

Spoiler:

-I went down the rest of the route to Olivine City where I stayed for a bit because of the stupid lighthouse. Had to climb all the way up, but the experience was good.
-Amphy was feeling bad and Jasmine let it slip that there was a pharmacy in Cianwood City. Good thing since I'm feeling sick...
-Got seasick riding on my David so long...
-Beat everyone with Exen and David. David is needed for Jasmine.
-Got off of David when I got to Cianwood. *hurl*
-After a while of cooling down and getting some super Secretpotion, I got back on David to try to find a Mantine. It didn't work... I couldn't find one...
-Saw Suicune! Obliterated Eusine! Who is Eusine anyways?
-Taught David Strength for getting through the gym.
-Chuck was a piece of cake with Exen. She plowed through him with Wing Attack spamming and two Swords Dances worked well. Not to mention I was severely over leveled.
-Got HM Fly from Chuck's wife. Now who should I use it on...
-Settled on Leiana to teach Fly.
-Flew back to Olivine on Leiana. Better than surfing...
-Scaled the lighthouse yet again... Couldn't feed Amphy... She won't take it from me... ;-;
-Spoke to Amphy... Palululululu!
-Went down and crushed Jasmine with Surfs from David.
-Got Iron Tail... Now what to do with it...
-Didn't do anything with it... (Built up suspense for nothing)
-Flew to Ecruteak City.
-Went to the right, to the right
-Surfed across the small body of water.
-Cut the trees and saw Suicune again!
-Ignored Suicune bounding away and picked the Apricorns
-Defeated the three trainers on the other side
-Went into Mahogany Town! Got two RageCandyBars!
-Traversed the route to the Lake of Anger -er- Rage
-Caught the shiny Gyarados after getting the two TMs on the other side of the lake.
-Named him Goliath. My two Gyaradoses, Gyarados's? David and Goliath.
-Used Goliath to blaze a path through the Rockets' hideout (I retired Clockman).
-Goliath did everything when I infiltrated the secret base.
-Just entered the Mahogany gym.

Now that our team is finally complete we can start working on some movesets.
I won't be having an HM Slave anymore so all HM moves will be put on my Team!

Next gym is Flying so again type disadvantage...
But since we can now Surf let's go and Surf Routes 104-109!
It's harder than I imagined...
All the damn status effects are a pain...
I'll stock up on some items!

After stocking up on some items all went better :)

After Finishing my pokémon are now all level 30 and above

Still just updating Crystal mono-flying.

Spoiler:

-Slippity slidey over the ice in the gym! Wheeee! Smack!
-OMG! Pryce meditates under a waterfall everyday?! I thought Chuck did that!
-I didn't have too much trouble with Pryce thanks to my totally over leveled team. He went down like an icicle. See what I did there.
-Listened to Team Rocket's radio broadcast. It was so moving that I went to Goldenrod City to enlist in Team Rocket.
-I was denied ;-;
-I took out my anger on every Rocket member in the building city. ROAAARR!!!
-Went back to Mahogany Town to continue my journey.
-Defeated all the trainers on the route next to Mahogany Town.
-Brrrrrrr! Ice Path is ice cold! But it's slippity slidey like the gym! So that was fun.
-Used a lot of repels to keep the wild Pokemon away.
-Finally escaped the cave! Stupid caves...
-Demolished the Blackthorn City gym!
-Claire was easily disposed of with my team. My team is always overleveled for some reason...
-Took the Dragon's Den Personality Test...
-Passed with flying colors! Ha, flying, ha...
-Got a new member for the flock! Irisia the Dratini! Soon to be Dragonite!
-Got a call from my friend this just in. Professor Elm is entrusting me with the Master Ball!
-While going down the route south of Blackthorn City, I found yet another member of the flock! Iron man the Skarmory!
-Grinded until Irisia and Iron man were level 40.
-Went onto the route to Kanto!
-Used Irisia to defeat all the trainers on the route.
-Used Irisia to get through Victory Road.
-Jaxon got told by Irisia and Iron man!
-Grinded on Victory Road until Irisia evolved. Lv. 55 ! Don't know how I did it...
-The Pokemon League was no match for my team with Pokemon in the 50's. It went by relatively fast.
-Watched the credits roll...
-Chose continue on the menu
-Got a ticket from Elm for the S.S. Aqua or something (S.S. Fast Ship?)
-Decimated the trainers on the ship and found the little girl who ran off.
-The rest of the story is pretty straightforward...
-Beat the Kanto leaders, got the EXPN Card, fixed the power, got the pass, etc.
-Currently, I am training on the E4. I can use one Pokemon to defeat them all... But I'm not in the 80's yet...

Now that we've explored the Sea Routes let's continue on our journey!
Team Aqua has taken over the Weather Institute and they're trying to make rain or something...
After cleaning them out we challenge our friend Brendan!!

I thought he had more pokémon, but he only had 3...
His Pelipper failed to take out even one of my pokémon,
even though it had Wing Attack...
His Combusken took out 3 of my pokémon...
Tropius, Lombre and Nuzleaf...
Breloom finished him of and also took down his Lombre in 2 hits...

So that's that, now we get Fly!
A nice move for Tropius!

We have arrived in Foretree!
Since this gym is again type disadvantaguous I'm going to do some training...
I already have my Leaf Stone, so now it's the question, evolve Nuzleaf or wait...

Taught Lombre Ice Beam for this Gym...
It should come in handy when facing Altaria...
(and the other birdies too but mostly Altaria lol)

Tried Winona but she's too strong...
I can take care of most of her pokémon easily...
But skarmory is a pain in the butt...


I decided to evolve Nuzleaf anyway...
Wrong ability so his final moveset wouldn't be epic anyway...
I actually beat Winona...
With some luck...
It was pretty lucky to get a critical on her Swablu so she didn't swap for Skarmary
when I was using Sludge Bomb...
So I could safely go into Breloom when she sent out Skarmory...
Altaria confused by Confuse Ray and hit itself 3 times in a row.
So it only started Dragon Dancing when I had it down to yellow Health.

Beating Winona actually means there are only 2 gyms left!
And they should pretty much be Type Advantages...
(Psychic / Rock and Water)

Found TM Sunny Day! So that'll be on Shiftry lol...
Even though he doesn't have the nature to match, he still has synthesis
Tropius has Chlorofyl... Maybe I'll teach it to him instead...
Decissions...

I decided not to use Sunny Day since I'm having all my pokémon loaded with HM's
I might use it for the pokémon League though when I get my final movesets on everyone,
so don't despair XD

Grovyle reached lvl 36 so we now have an amazing Sceptile!

We arrive at Lilycove, which means we can have our next Rival Battle!
I usually think Brendan is too weak here,
I hope I still think that with my Grass Team!

My...Lileep...Owned...
OMG...
Ingrain + Amnesia + Confuse Ray + Sludge Bomb killed of everything on his team...
With only one offensive move that's amazing...
At the end of the battle... 74/111HP left...
That's just great! :D

Now let's go to MT.Pyre to see what Team Aqua is up to!
Lileep grew to level 40 so we now have a Cradily! Great!

After kicking Team Aqua's ass it's time to kick Team Magma's ass.
They're all pretty easy to beat really...
I really shouldn't have said that...
Maxie's Crobat is a nightmare!
The Rematch went ok I guess...
A lot of my pokémon died on Crobat's hands,
but in the end I managed to get it down...
(Due to a lucky break where his air cutter missed and I got Leech Seed on him)
And now it's once again time to kick some Team Aqua ass!
Geez does it ever end?
Now that that is finally over we can go to the next Island!
So we can finally get our next gym badge.

Oh my god...
All my pokémon died so I kinda panicked,
but..
Dots
Wtf?
It only took damage from being confused lol
It killed off all the other pokémon on its own
In a double battle
Freaking epic...

And then the epic battle with steven against Team Magma!
Grass only + Steel only against Fire and Flying?
That doesn't sound good...
Though they don't use fire moves so all's good and went easy...

We now have Dive and need to give chase to Team Aqua! (again)
We'll be soon done with chasing them thank god...
Invading their nice hideout and swiping all the grunts since I'm angered...
It was easier than I expected.
Even their leader was no match for my epic team.

After that the whole scene with Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza.
Great now that that is finally over can I please go to the gym now?
The gym was too easy... Though I used savestates for Kingdra.
That thing with double team is a monster!
And it was way higher level than my pokémon...
Now looking up what HM's I need for Victory Road.
Finally getting rid of Cut and Dive.
I'll get to the final movesets once I arrive at the League.
Now next issue to handle, Wally.
The annoying kid just had to ambush us here...

I actually expected that battle to be hard...
What the ****? Where are the epic pokémon?
Really nothing great to kill me off with?
I guess my expectations were way too high...

Anyway I guess that makes it easier.

I'm always afraid to get lost here,

I wasn't expecting much issues here.
Absol's Aerial Ace was a bit of a pain though.
Especially with some sword dances up...

Oh god dreadful Ghost-types.
I have a feeling my team isn't going to like this...

I wiped and wiped and kept on wiping until I got mad :o
And I trained and trained and trained
And gave them all nightmares...

I semi decided to do a water run next in emerald,

Picked up Torchic as a starter.
It seems it'll fit right with me as it is a female and has a relaxed nature!
Caught a Zigzagoon to be our HM Slave!
In Petalburg Woods we caught a Impish female Shroomish!
Nice another Female hehe.

Since I have Shroomish with Leech Seed and Absorb this is pretty easy :)

So now I finished my Crystal mono-flying run.

-Defeated the E4 over and over until David, Iron Man, and Exen were all high levels.
-Flew to Mt. Silver
-Traversed the interior of the mountain until I got to Red
-Defeated Pikachu and Charizard with David. Then I destroyed the rest of his Pokemon with +6 Attack Exen using Fury Cutter over and over.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Steel).

Update #4 on Black.

• While exploring the Mistralton and Wellspring caves, Duran evolved into Ferrothorn.
• Went through Twist Mountain to Icirrus City.
• Bryce was too easy with Ice's weakness to Steel.
• Beat up Team Plasma in the Dragonspiral Tower and Relic Castle, and received the Light Stone.
• Went straight to Route 9, where I caught Red Queen the Pawniard.
• Now it was time to EV train everyone, so I did that with the help of a lot of vitamins from the Shopping Mall Nine.
• Gears evolved into Klinklang while EV training.
• Then I started training Red Queen up on the trainers I skipped on Route 8.
• That done, I challenged the Opelucid Gym.
• Drayden went down to Red Queen, Lancer, and Duran.
• Continued on to Victory Road and made it through to the Pokemon League, where I saved.

We now have one Badge, so time to chase Team Magma.
They stole a man's Goods.
Deliverd the Goods back and went to Devon for the Pokénav.
Torchic evolved into Combusken on our way back to Mr.Birney!
In Granite Cave on Dewford Island caught our third teammember! Makuhita!
After delivering the Letter to Steven we went to the Gym!
Defeated all the Gym trainers with Shroomish.
Gym Leader Brawly also went down easily with Shroomish.
I really love Shroomish <3

Arriving at Slateport and taking care of the beach trainers...
I'll take this time to rant about differences between Ruby and Emerald,
since there really is a big difference notable already this early in the game.
Everywhere we would usually encounter Team Aqua in Emerald,
we now encounter Team Magma.
It really is funny lol.
So instead of Team Aqua Team Magma is in front of the Museum!

-For the past few days before I updated this, I spent the whole time grinding in Iron Island! It was so long and boring but I was able to finally get everyone to level 55. Chuchu also had a couple eggs! I chose one with a Lonely nature who I had named Chuchu Jr. and put her on my team. She also got to level 55.
-The rest all happened in around two hours:
-I took down Byron and his gym with Chuchu and Sun~~~Ray. Chuchu knows Grass Knot so it was easy.
-EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!! IN THE LIBRARY!!!!!!
-Got away safely... Strangely, none of the books fell off the shelves...
-Checked out Lake Valor and destroyed the grunts and Saturn
-Checked out Lake Verity and destroyed the grunts and Mars
-Zoomed through Mt. Coronet whilst picking up all the items on the way. Super Repel FTW!
-Got to the icy and snowy land where snow falls outside but hail falls in battles...
-I got da Rocka Climba!
-So I showed up in Snowpoint and got a new word to add to my vocabulary. STOCK PRICES!!!
-The Snowpoint Gym was a breeze since Chuchu Jr. had Iron Tail. I used it until Medicham where I used Sun~~~Ray again.
-Checked out Lake Acuity and watched Mark react to being destroyed.
-Infiltrated tee Veilstone Galactic HQ!
-Grunts are really annoying!!! >.<
-Cyrus was a boss... Literally...
-Cyrus was defeated! _{Like a Boss}
-Saturn was also defeated and disposed of easily.
-Back to them mountains for me! Gonna meet myself a Diagla Dilaga Dialga!
-Mt. Coronet was boring and annoying... Grunts everywhere... How did they get in? They're Pokemon are terrible!
-I finally... made it... to the top... *Huff Huff...*Wheeze!*
-Mark teamed up with me to demolish dem Commanders. Discharge spam! Mark was no match for my Chuchu! Wait... I was supposed to fight with Mark?
-Dialga disobeyed Cyrus after the Red Chain was dissolved.
-Y U Take Out Ur Anger On Me? _{Like a Boss}
-Cyrus got defeated yet again! _{Like a Boss}
-Dialga was taken care of easily...
-Now on to Sunyshore!
-Trainers got annoying, but I needed the Experience!
-OMG!!! It's Flint!!!
-Volkner is cool and collected... I like that... My second rival... He's a Gym Leader!
-Elevator musiccccccccccccc..........
-Top of the lighthouse! Volkner (Volknor?) tells me he'll challenge the League?
