Alright! Second update on my UMC Normal: Johto

Did some more training, got blur up to level 11.
Destroyed Falkner with my new level 11 Sentret.
Got the Togepi egg, walked back and forth using the speed button till it hatched.
Grinded up my Togepi.
Barely got through Union Cave.
Got through Slowpoke well
Beat Bruno (Rival)
Beat Bugzy
Got through Ilex Forest, Blur evolving along the way (first furrett ever used by me!!!)
Got the Odd egg (what hatches from this?)

hell yea. finished up my poison challenge on hg. and lemme just say that it got tough around the end. esp the 2nd time fighting will and lance.

anyways here we go!

-after a pretty long grind i went and beat the e4 for the first time (go Gengar!)
-went and beat all of the kanto gyms and trained up a consierable amount.
-went though and barelybeat the e4 for the second time
-fought them a few more times till i thought i ha enough money for revives to fight red
-fought red for a good 15 mins before finially beating him.

I saved the Silph Co. and defeated Sabrina. I then went to Cinnabar Island and found the key in the mansion. I then defeated Blaine. I then flew to Viridian City and beat Giovanni for the last time. I then went west and defeated Blue. I then journeyed through Victory Road and after I got out I trained my Pokemon a bit and Dragonair evolved. I am about to challenge the Pokemon League. Wish me luck!

I started the E4 challenge. Lorelei was rather easy I mainly used my Dragonite , Charizard and Pidgeot. Bruno was the easiest. Butterfree swept him with Mega Drain and Psychic not allowing him to make a hit. Agatha was also easy I only had to use Charizard's Earthquake and Flamethrower. Lance's Pokemon were quite easy except his Dragonite. It has a really strong Hyper Beam. Farfetch'd and Dragonite we good here. Blue was the hardest I mostly used Dodrio. I finished him off with Charizard's Strength. I have finished Kanto (Red) part of my Ultimate Flying Monotype Challenge. I will be using Pokemon Gold on the next Part.

Yeah, the Lucario was quite hard, but on the bright side, Golbat evolved into a Crobat afterwards, and I also have a Gliscor now as well!

ATM my team is very offensive, with high attack and speed stats. Does anyone know of a good defensive flying type pokemon? I think that Skarmory is probably the best, but you can't get one until very late in the game, so I'm thinking Drifblim. Is there a better one that's quite easily catchable in Platinum?

I started the Gold part of my Flying Ultimate Monotype Challenge. I completed the first part of the game (didn't really matter what I did because I didn't have a Flying type. After the aide gave me the Pokeballs I caught a Hoothoot. I then caught a Spearow. I later arrived in Violet City where I beat Sprout Tower and the Gym. After that I travelled south and caught a Hoppip. I then went a received the Togepi egg which hatched soon after. I am about to head towards Azalea Town.

Witty, I would definitely recommend a Drifblim. I'm using it for my Ghost UMC, and he's proving to be very useful. I'm basically soloing the entire game with him.

I travelled through Dark Cave and arrived in Azalea Town. I defeated Team Rocket at Slowpoke's Well and won the badge. I helped the Farfetch'd guy. I then went through Ilex Forest. I put some Pokemon in the Daycare Center and went to Goldenrod City. Hoppip evolved and I beat the gym and I am about to go to the National Park.

Miltank learns rollout naturally, somewhere around Lv.34 I think, ghost is physical in Gen II.




Anyway, I said a few pages back that I'd like to try a steel ultimate, finally getting around to posting about it.

Started in Crystal.

-Chose Totodile for slaving reasons
-Got the egg and Pokedex
-Beat the redheaded stepchild
-Delivered the egg to Elm
-Caught a bellsprout to trade for Onix
-Went back and fought some trainers/wild pokemon
-To the Gym!

Foret defeated Clefairy and took off half of Miltank's health with rollout before kickin' the bucket. Solid finished it off with rock throw.

I went through the National Park and cleared the path of Sudowoodo. I then went up to Ecruteak City. I beat the rival and also beat Morty and the Kimono Girls. Spearow and Hoothoot evolved. I then strolled down to Olivine City and then to the ocean where I caught a Mantine. I then continued on to Cianwood City were I beat Chuck. On my way back Togepi and Skiploom evolved. I am about to go into the Glitter Lighthouse.

Well, I would be updating if I actually had something to update on. I wasted absolutely all my money after losing to Wattson so many times, that, when I tried to get Kyle out of the DayCare(yes, I was that desperate) I realized I didn't have enough money to get him out. I could have gotten my Jake out, but I decided to go to the Game Corner first so I could get some coins and see if I could exchange them for money. But, I found out I didn't have a coin case yet so I went to Slateport and bought a Harbor Mail with the money I could've used to get my Jake out of the Day Care. I got there and discovered that the game corner didn't give you some coins to start you out. So yeah, with my Kyle in the Day Care I'm totally screwed. It doesn't help the fact that VBA is getting glitchy, meaning that I have to close it and then open it again every once in a while.

I'm going to see if I can sell anything, and get my pokemon out of the day care. I'll update afterwards.
