Ultimate Monotype Challenge Thread

I went through Granite Cave and gave Stephen his letter. I then went back and got the Exp. Share. I then beat Brawly and then sailed to Slateport. Where I cleared out Team Magma. I then travelled north and beat May and the Trick House and arrived in Mauville and beat Wally and Wattson (he was super hard because all his Pokemon were strong against mine. I had to Critical Hit defeat him). Surskit, Tailow and Wingull evolved. I am about to get Rock Smash.

Anemoth (Masquerain) Lv25.
Moves: Bubble, Quick Attack, Sweet Scent, Bubblebeam.

Moves: Wing Attack, Growl, Double Team, Quick Attack.

- Amber goes through Ilex Forest, capturing a Paras, rescuing the Farfetch'd and getting HM 01 - Cut. She taught it to Paras, and then found the Headbutt tutor, teaching it to Ledian, and then leaving the forest after showing the way to the lost Kimono Girl.
- Travelled north and reached the Day Care, getting Ethan, Day C. Man and Day C. Lady phone numbers. She then left Togepi and Beedrill training.
- Time for the bug swarm! Amber headed back to Azalea and caught a Heracross on Route 33. She then went to the National Park, capturing a Scyther and a Venonat. Finally, she caught a Yanma on Route 35.
- Put the new pokémon on the Day Care and then trained them.
- Time to explore Goldenrod. Underground: Got the Fashion Case, battled trainers and took a photo. Department Store: Bought TM 52 - Focus Blast to Ledian. Bike Shop: Got a bycicle. Game Corner: Got a Coin Case. Radio Tower: Answered the questions correctly, got a Radio Card and Blue Card on the second floor.
- Left Togepi and Totodile at the Day Care.
- Entered the Gym. Getting through all the trainers, Amber reached Whitney, the Gym Leader.

After a short break I'm back, with more Ultimate Monotype Steel Challenge!

-Started with a Mudkip
-Helped Wally catch Ralts
-Caught Zigzaslave
-Went straight to Rustboro gym avoiding unnecessary trainer battles
-Rescued Peeko and the goods.
-Went to Dewford to catch Mawile(Jaws) and Aron(Rocky)
-Headed to Slateport for training.
-Defeated Team Magma at the museum
-To the Dewford Gym!

Jaws beat Machop with fake tears+bite, Rocky got 3 mud-slaps off on Makuhita before fainting, Jaws finished it with fake tears+bite.

Rocky took down Magnemite with mud-slap, Voltorb exploded on Jaws, Jaws did ~33% damage with bite vs Magneton before fainting, Rocky finished it with mud-slap.

Yay! I finally got a new DS lite so I will start up my challenge again. I am currently at the steel gym. It's hard.

I travveled north and eventully caught a Skarmory. I then went west to Fallabor Town. I then went downwards and caught a Swablu. I then went to Meteor Falls to see Team Magma. I then went to Mt Chimney and ridded of them there. I then went down Jagged Path to Lavaridge Town where I beat Flannery. I am in the Petalburg Gym.

Journey part#1

So i started of with Totodile named Croc (from the Ps1 game Croc: legend of the gobbon or somthing)
I went to get the egg lv'd Croc to 10 and beat up Rival. Then i did all the egg stuff and went to Violet city Won falkner kinda easily and went to the cave
I lv'd up and evolved my Croc and then i went to the Azalea town and Slowpoke well and beat TR and caught a Slowpoke named Dopey and i lv'd it up to 15 as Croc was in 20 already.

Journey Part#2

Spoiler:

Bugsy was easy. Then the Rival, Bayleef made some damage but got killed by Dopeys Bite.
So I went trhu Ilex Forest and taught Croc Cut and Dopey Headbutt.
Finally got to Goldenrod I went to get Croc Ice punch. Then for withney Croc is now LV:25 and Dopey is LV:22
I just Cursed few times to get defence and then headbutted Clefairy and Miltank.
So i continued to Ecruteak City I won the Kimono Girls and got Surf taught it to both Croc and Dopey.
I talked to bill and went back to Goldenrod to get an Eevee (after few calls from FISHERMAN TALLY coast before Mahogany u'll get a water stone)
I lv'd all pokes up to 30, Croc evolved and now for the GYM!

Journey part#3

I got my Aquaman to Evolve.
I won the gym easily with Croc and Got the Shadow Ball I taught it to Aquaman (Vaporeon).
Now i went thru the stuff in Olivine and got to Cianwood City. I fought with Eusine(or wathever)
And won the gym with dopey. Next to the Steel gym, in the way i caught Tentacool named JellyBrain.
Now to the Lake of Rage i caught the Red Gyarados named Ryujin(龍神, "dragon god").
So Now i went to the TR base and kicked them with Lance and got Whirlpool.
Pryce is up next it was kinda easy with my pokes and to Blackthorn!
Icy Cave was in the middle got thru that and got the Waterfall.
And in the meantime I saved everyone from the TR in the Radio Tower.
I did all kinds of stuff including leveling up
Claire coming next She was a bit anyoing with those Thunder Waves but with my Aquaman and his Aurorabeam it went down kinda fast even Kingdra didnt take as much time as i tought.
Now i've done it YAY ! Victory Road & E4 Im coming!
Then end is near and Rival comes up i beat him easily cuz i lv'd all my pokes to around lv50.

-Will: Aquaman took out Xatu's with Aurorabeam and Slowbro with Shadowball.
Exeggutor and all the less were in mercy's of Ryujins Bite.

-Koga: Well I started of with JellyBrain and took Ariados & Forretress with Surf
Venomoth and Crobat were taken out by JellyBrain's Icy Wind.
Muk went down by Dopeys Psychic.

-Bruno: Dopey sweeped all the Fighting pokes with Psychic and Onix with Surf.

-Karen: Umberon got KO'd by Ryujin's Surf.
Vileplume and Murkrow were goners when Croc hitted them with Ice Punch
Gengar was taken out by Aquamans Shadow Ball and Houndoow by his Surf.

LAST TO GO!
-Lance: OMG this is so easy with a Water team
First i took out Gyarados with Dopeys Strenght
Then all 3 Dragonites KO'd by Crocs one Ice Puch for each one.
Then Aerodactyl and Charizard got Surfed and YEAH! Im Done with E-4 next up Kanto!!

Beat Byron and got the 6th gym badge.
When I finish this challenge, I might do a dark monotype challenge on Diamond.
BTW, I won't be able to update as much because this year and next in school are GCSE years...

Okay, there we go. The UMC thread is now updated with the new members. Congrats to GrassGiant, tachikaze316, & FANOFFIRESTARTERS!!! for becoming our latest champions! :D

Furthermore, in preparation for the release of Black and White in 3 days, I have altered the list of challengers. So, every challenge now has a section for Isshu, though each one is currently blank. In addition to that, I have put the names of all the current 4-Gen champions in brackets, in order to distinguish them from future 5-Gen champions. Any of the 4-Gen champions need only to complete a 5th Gen game to get into the other category. ^_^

So, who will be the first champion of five generations of Pokémon? I can't wait to find out! :D

Steven: Rocky set up Iron Defense vs Skarmory and proceeded to Earthquake/Iron Tail through Aggron, Armaldo, Metagross and Claydol before being brought down by Cradily. Vertigo finished Cradily off with Aerial Ace, he sent his Skarmory back out, I responded with Jaws, who set up Iron Defense and Fake Tears before spamming Crunch for the win.

I beat Norman. I then surfed and walked until I got to the Berry Master's house. After receiving some berries I went north and caught a Tropius. I kept going until I reached the Weather Institute. I got rid of Team Magma. Then went east and beat my rival. I am currently in Fortree City.
