    -Got Charmander named Flame
    -Beat Francis (Blue)
    -Got Pokedex
    -Beat Francis a second time
    -Cleared Viridian Forest
    -Beat Pewter Gym and got Boulder Badge. Flame evolved into Charmeleon.
    -Cleared Mt. Moon
    -Beat Francis a third time
    -Got S.S. Anne Ticket
    -Beat Cerulean Gym and got Cascade Badge.
    -Flame evolved into Charizard
    -Cleared S.S. Anne
    -Beat Vermillion Gym and got the Thunder Badge
    -Murdered by suicide Geodudes in Rock Tunnel
    -Cleared Rock Tunnel
    -Caught Growlithe. Named Barks
    -Recieved Eevee. Named Fuzzles
    -Evolved both Barks and Fuzzles with Fire Stones
    -Beat Francis a fourth time

    • Good Afternoon all I got on Pokemon Fire red at around 1:15 and now I have beaten Erica the Celadon Gym Leader who has been the easiest gym challenge yet thx to Golbat's Wing Attack and Air Cutter

    My Current Team:

    Nidoking(MonstrHorn) Lv32
    Venusaur(Weed) Lv33
    Golbat(Batman) Lv36

    I didn't include the HM Slave because I'm not using it becuse it's not a Poison Type

    Hey I have a problem; I caught a Ghastly at the Pokemon Tower and at this current point it is a Lv33 Haunter I was wondering since I'm using the Visual Boy Advance Emulator which means I can't trade I was wondering if I could hack my Fire Red Rom making it to where Haunter Evolves into Gengar at Lv36 please get back to me

    I'll continue the challenge for now but pm me with an answer when you get the chance plz

    Hi everyone !! I'm new on PC but I'm a real PokeFan haha :P I think I'm gonna do a Mono flying type on SS with Ledyba as a starter ( Ledian is my favorite pokemon haha) I will update everyday :)

    Okay so I went with a bug team !
    -Got Totodile
    -lost against Rej my rival
    -Caught a Ledyba ( crismon beast of might)
    -trained her until lvl 10
    -Caught a weedle
    -trained him insinde the sprout tower until lvl 10 ( got beedrill )
    - after 7 defeat I finally beated the first gym leader ( with the terrible poison/potion tecnhique xD)
    - Have to admit that ledyba is not good at all
    - put some faith in ledyba after giving her Roost
    - ledyba is now lvl 16
    -beedrill is now lvl 15
    -heading to the second gym ( not really looking foward that scyther though haha)

    I would also like to thank the creator of this challenge for the fun I had and the fact that before I chose poison type for this challenge I had no Idea how good Poison type Pokemon could be so thank you Alakazam17

    I have moved on to Emerald in my Ultimate Ground Type challenge! This thread will cover all updates for the game. (Also, my challenges for Kanto and Johto haven't made it on the front page yet... Just a note for someone)

    So... Here we go!

    - Went through the beginning game stuff. Seeing as how this is a ground-type challenge, I naturally picked Mudkip as my starter.
    - The Pokemon I plan on catching all appear much later in the game, so for the most part, Mudkip/Marshtomp are going to be it for the first few badges.
    - Grabbed a Zigzagoon. Hey, I gotta be able to do some 2-on-2 battles, right? Plus, pickup is quite useful at times.
    - Went to Rustboro City. Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp on the final trainer battle in the gym, which meant that Water Gun and Mud Shot took Roxanne down.
    - Went out to Route 116, beat Team Aqua, and wound up getting the Pokenav.
    - Headed to Dewford Town with Mr. Briney. Wandered around Granite Cave until I found Steven, and then Marshtomp beat Brawly with relative ease.
    - Sailed on to Slateport and took down the trainers on Route 109 and the Team Aqua debacle in Slateport.
    - Beat my rival on Route 110 - it was quite the pain, because Grovyle knew absorb, but Marshtomp's Bide worked out quite nicely.
    - Went on to Mauville and obliterated Wattson easily.
    - Started avoiding as many trainers as possible, so that I could raise my team later. (At this point, Marshtomp was around Lv. 30, so he's good to go for a while)
    - Grabbed a Numel on Route 112. Then, went back and defeated a bunch of trainers, like the Triathletes on Route 110 and the grass types on Route 118.
    - Moved North with Numel and Marshtomp. Cleared all the trainers on Route 111 and 112, then avoided them on Route 113 and 114.
    - Went to Mt. Chimney and had a good battle with Team Magma.
    - Went south to Lavaridge Town, and beat Flannery with Numel's Magnitude and Marshtomp's Water Gun and Mud Shot.
    - Headed over to the Desert Ruins, and caught Baltoy and Trapinch. Trained them with all of the trainers that I had skipped before.
    - Went to Petalburg. I realized that this was going to be a near-impossible battle with what I had so far...
    - Went out and grinded Numel into Camerupt, and Marshtomp into Swampert. Also got Baltoy and Trapinch to Lv. 30.
    - Took on Norman. It was quite a tough battle. Baltoy took care of Spinda, but neither Baltoy nor Trapinch could take care of Vigoroth. Swampert finished Vigoroth off, and then Camerupt handled Linoone with relative ease. Slaking was a pain, but Swampert prevailed with many Mud Shots.
    - Obtained Surf from Wally's parents.

    Alright, so the plan is to now go back and beat trainers that I can only get to with Surf. Then, I'll move on towards Fortree City and Winona's Flying-type Pokemon.

    Team: Baltoy, Trapinch, Camerupt, and Swampert. This is probably going to be the full team - unless I feel the addition of Rhyhorn or Phanpy is necessary in later days...

    • Well I'm new to this forum and this post, but I just began my monotype challenge yesterday and I wanted a place to keep track of my progress!
    Version: FireRed.
    Type: Normal-types.
    I caught my "starter" Normal-type as a level three Pidgey just outside Pallet Town, a male named Monsoon. Then as I proceeded to the Viridian Forest I captured a female Rattata, also at level three, called Twister. Currently I am training in the forest for the Pewter City gym badge (which is probably going to prove to be a tough one with only Normal-types).
    My real starter was a Squirtle, but he was boxed as soon as Monsoon was caught.

    ~ Captured Quake, a Spearow.
    ~ Captured Avalanche, a Rattata and Gamma, a Pidgey when it became clear I'd need a fuller team to take on Brock.
    ~ Defeated Gym Leader Brock (after, you know, a dozen or three hundred tries -_-)
    ~ Made my way towards Cerulean City, catching a Jigglypuff named Flood just outside Mt. Moon.

    Current Team:
    Twister = Rattata, lv. 16.
    Monsoon = Pidgey, lv. 15.
    Quake = Spearow, lv. 11.
    Gamma = Pidgey, lv. 10.
    Avalanche = Rattata, lv. 12.
    Flood = Jigglypuff, lv. 14.

    Although I'm not normally a fan of the type, I will be starting a FIRE type challenge.

    Starting in Red Version. Wish me luck.

    • Right, I'm just going to do a single game challenge on Ruby with the bug type. Not sure what my team's going to be at the moment, I'll be winging it a bit. Probably going to include both Wurmple evos and Armaldo at this point, among other things.
