UPDATE:

Went away from Cerulean City and came to Vermillion City.
Trained Charmander in and around Diglett's Cave.
Charmander evolved into Charmeleon.
Went aboard the S.S. Anne and defeated all the trainers inclunding my Rival.
Obtained HM01 from Captain.
Left S.S. Anne.
Caught a Diglett (For Cut)
Proceeded to Vermillion Gym.
Defeated Surge and all his trainers.

UPDATE:

Went and got HM05 from Prof. Oak's aide.
Went to Cerulean City and brushed aside all of the trainers on the way to Rock Tunnel.
Swapped Diglett for Pikachu.
Taught Pikachu HM05.
Went through Rock Tunnel, defeating every trainer in the process.
Left Rock Tunnel and entered Lavender Town.
Went west of Lavender Town and into Celadon City.
Defeated Team Rocket and Giovanni in the Game Corner.
Went to the gym and easily defeated Erika.

Thanks I WAS scared of misty but than i read someone else doing a ground run and they used the Nido that didnt evolve with Moon Stone to stop Super Effective Damage.
So I'm Happy ^.^
I wish i was home already so i can VBA V.V

Well, I just started my electric run today (Chosen by a random number generator), so I'm playing Pokemon Yellow. After some difficulty with Brock's Onix that knows Bide >.< I have a level 25 Pikachu, and a level 9 clefairy that I found in Mt. Moon for Flash.

Quick question: Can I exploit the Mew glitch to get a really nice HM slave?

Well It has been a while, because I stopped playing for a bit since my Budew was so stubborn, but now as a Roselia I have made much more progress. I have defeated the first Six gyms, collecting a Croagunk before defeating Crasher Wake (Dry Skin is awesome) and a Tentacool before defeating Byron. Now I have a Toxicroak and a Tentacruel, as well as a Roselia and a Crobat.

Taught HM02 to Pidgeotto.
Flew to Lavender Town and entered the Pokemon Tower.
Defeated Rival.
Defeated all the trainers in the tower including Marowak.
Defeated Jessie and James.
Recieved Poke Flute from Mr. Fuji.
Went south of Lavender Town and defeated all the Fishermen including Snorlax.
Defeated all the other trainers.
Arrived in Fuschia City.
Headed straight for the gym and defeated all the trainers.
Pidgeotto evolved into Pidgeot (Yay!)
Charmeleon evolved into Charizard (Yay! x2)
Defeated Koga.

Hmmm. Is it okay if I do a monospecies run for this? I am at Silph Co. right now with a level 65 Pikachu, and I really don't want to find an train another poke when I can OHKO EVERYthing with Pikachu.

Just beat lance, but Pikachu only has 6 PP... in slam... I'm going to go back and get some Elixers. Then PWN the E4 Again. My level 80 Pikachu didn't die once! :D (Until Sandslash OHKO'd it)

Good job choosing electric! I'm not to far on this, and I can't update much, so I wish you luck!

Oh, and as for the Mew glitch, I did it (it was my first time playing red... what did you expect?) and no one cared. Just as long as you don't use the Mew glitch for team members (read: no Gyara in Mt. Moon) or use the second half involving uping level to 100, you should be fine.
