So this is it, my next update… and, as you may except, it's my last on Hoenn. Yes, I've finished it yesterday. Because some time has passed since my last update, this one is going to be long…
-I reached Lilycove City; visited the Safari Zone and caught a Natu (Male; Lv.29) – I named it Laehydre.
-After I got TM19, I teached Giga Drain to Natu. Natu evolved after reaching Lv.30, I teached Xatu HM02 Fly.
-I visited the Mt. Pyre, defeated Team Aqua and got the Magma Emblem. I went back to Lilycove City to defeat May the last time.
- I went through the Trick House again, then went to Team Magma's Hideout. There I won against 16 Grunts, Tabitha and Maxie. Groudon woke up and escaped.
- Team Aqua stole the boat in Slateport City. I went back to Lilycove City to Aqua's Hideout and defeated the Grunts, including their Admin Matt. But Adrian escaped. Of course.
-I travelled on Route 124 to Mossdeep City. I got a Super Rod which I use to catch a Staryu back in Lilycove City to complete my team. Staryu was on Lv.25 and I called it "Nurvent". Again.
-I challenged Liza and Tate in their gym. As always, Gardevoir did most of the work with her Calm Mind-abuse. I won the Mind Badge. While fighting this… kids… I really missed Sabrina… Afterwards, I visited the Space center and defeated Team Magma the last time. Steven gave me HM08 then, which I teached to Staryu, along with HM03 and TM24 Thunderbolt.
-I found a Blue Shard and changed it for a Water Stone. Nurvent evolved into Starmie!
- I defeat all trainers on Route 124, 125, 127, 128 and 126 to train Nurvent and the rest of my team. On Route 128 I found the Seafloor Cavern. I challenged Team Aqua, but Kyogre woke up and it started to rain. Maxie and Archie started a nice discussion of morality. xD
I reached Sootopolis City and talked to Archie, Maxie, Steven and Wallace. While using Routes 129, 130 and 131, I reached Pacifidlog Town and entered the Sky Pillar. Rayquaza woke up and cleared the situation in Sootopolis City. Everyone was very happy (in fact, everyone without me, cause I loved the rain <<).
-I challenged Juan and won as always with Gardevoir, setting up Calm Mind and OHKOing his team. Except of Kingdra, who was able to stand two Shock waves. The Rain Badge was mine.
-Some formal work to do now: Next rush through the Trick House. Defeating trainers on Routes 132, 133 and 134; Buying a TM24 and a TM 13 in the Casino of Mauville City. (Thunderbolt was for Gardevoir, of course.)
Nurvent learned HM07 with the help of the Move Deleter.
-I reached the Victory Road and defeated 16 trainers, including my "friend" Wally. All too easy, that. xD
Oh. You wanna see an update, right? That was my team to challenge the Elite Four.
-Laehydre (Xatu (m); Lv.47) - Wish, Giga Drain, Fly, Future Sight
-Atendhente (Claydol; Lv.48) - Sand Storm, Cosmic Power, Ancient Power, Psybeam
-Princeps (Grumpig (m); Lv.48) – Psychic, Confuse Ray, Psybeam, Magic Coat
-Maleval (Kadabra (m); Lv.48) – Teleport, Psychic, Recover, Psybeam
-Nurvent (Starmie; Lv.48) – Recover, Thunderbolt, Surf, Ice Beam
-Guinevre (Gardevoir (f); Lv.48) – Calm Mind, Thunderbolt, Double Team, Psychic
Here we go!
The first one in my way was Sidney. Of course it was a question of honour to smash his team. I choosed Gardevoir – but Mightyena roared my Calm Mind away, so I sent out Nurvent (after Laehydre fainted) and surfed the wolf away. Gardevoir then used CM against Shiftry, who was really annoying, overusing Double team and Swagger – I had to cure Gardevoir's confusion nearly every second round of fighting. The Torment wasn't helpful either,m I had to use Double Team –Thunderbolt – Double Team – Thunderbolt - … for the rest of the battle against Sidney. Because of Shiftrys Double Team it took many trys to down him with TB. Afterwards, it was easy to OHKO Cacturne, Crawdaunt and Absol. Gardevoir reached Lv.49.
I used berrys to fill up her PPs.
Second was Phoebe, who was a oh so thankful victim to my tactic… her Dusclops used Protect four times in a row, allowing Gardevoir to set up five Calm Minds before she was hit by a Shadow Punch. Then she started using Psychic – four OHKOs against the two Dusclops and the two Banettes. And an OHKO with TB against Sableye. Guinevre reached Lv.51.
Next was Glacia, who had no chance either. Sealeo allowed Guinevre to set up, and then three TBs took down all the seals, whereas two Psychics defeated the two of Satan's Hockey-mask, Glalie. Guinevre reached Lv.51 and I felt unstoppable.
The last member of the Elite Four – Drake – was the next enemy. I decided to give Nurvent a chance and Guinevre a well-deserved tea break.
Nurvent truly has a movepool to kill dragons, and Shelgon and Flygon falled to the first attack. Then Drake sent out Salamence. Ice Beam took about 7/8 of his health, but then he used Crunch on Nurvent…
It survived with one HP left. Of course the next Ice Beam made sure Salamence wouldn't get a second chance. Nurvent reached Lv.49. Altaria was OHKOed, too.
Kingdra wasn't. And in return, of course, he killed Nurvent. This enemy was too dangerous to take a risk, so I choosed Guinevre. She used three CMs to defeat Kingdra with one TB then. The way was free.
I healed my Pokemon.
Wallace was waiting for me. Reanimated Nurvent took down Wailord with two attacks but had no chance against Ludicolo (but paralyzed it), so I changed to Guinevre. Five CMs later Ludicolo couldn't withstand TB.
He sent out Tentacruel, and that jellyfish was, stupidly, faster than Guinevre. A Sludge Bomb was Wallace's way to deal with the problem of an overpowered calm-minded Gardevoir, and I suddenly had some serious problems.
I choosed Claydol. My luck was that his first Hydro Pump missed, so I could use Cosmic Power. And than some potions to stall out the next ones. After his PP runned out, I set up with Cosmic Power to its fullest and started to use Psybeam (and Poison Heals, because he had fun with using Toxic…). 2 Full Restores of Wallace to save his Pokemon and about five minutes later Guinevre was avenged (and reanimated, by the way…). Whiscash was a hell, because he stalled himself, so Claydol wasn't able to do anything against him. I had to choose Guinevre again. Calm Mind helped, but I had to use Double Team also to avoid being killed by the Earthquakes. Still after 6 CMs I had to use three Psychics to break through his amnesia-defensive.
Gyarados and Milotic fainted after one hit with Thunderbolt. Honestly, his team was hard enough to take down anyway. Guinevre reached Lv.52.
I was the Champ of Hoenn now.
So, what's next? I'm going to post an update of the battle frontier, but I'm going to Sinnoh first.
What? An analysis? Sorry, but I have another idea for it… so only some words of thanks this time.
Xatu, Grumpig, Kadabra – all of them were good fighters, but stood in the shadow of Gardevoir and Starmie. Kadabra had to play the role of the Teleporter, so he couldn't evolve, which really took him down. Oh captain, my captain… better days will come, I promise it to you. Grumpig was incredible easy to train, that pig reached two levels in the time Gardevoir used to reach one.
Claydol – you stalled out Wallace's Tentacruel, thank you! This ancient doll has really amazing devensive skills.
Starmie – it was again one hell of a Pokemon, with a amazing movepool and a high Special attack to make a good use of it. After I catched it, it defeated trainers and wild Pokemon, most important Wallace's Wailord and 4 of Drake's Pokemon. It is as good as in R/B/Y now again, with TB, Ice Beam and Surf.
Gardevoir – she was *the* Pokemon of this challenge. With her amazing movepool she defeated all eight gym leaders, Sidney, Phoebe and Frosina nearly without help! Drake's Kingdra and four of Wallace's Pokemon too. She dominated my team more then a Pokemon in my other challenges ever did and won more important battles than Starmie and Exeggcutor in Blue and Alakazam and Exeggcutor in Gold. That was just outstanding… A Queen of Psychic she is!
So this is it for now. Zammy, will you move me to Sinnoh, please? =)
