I'm going to go with Fighting Types as I don't use them often.

Wished I could start with Red, as I've only played Blue/Yellow.

Update: Well... as of now, I have a level 37 Primape with Seismic Toss, Rage, Karate Chop, and Fury Swipes. It also has 101 Attack :D
Just reached Lavendar Town, without getting Flash because of how much I've done that cave.
Other than that... nothing really to report, going to get a Cubone and a flying pokemon soon for the Machamp.

Also, VBA Speed up dealy... ftw.

No, the Cubone I traded in-game for a MAchoke/Machamp.

The Doduo is my Fly slave to get around.

Anyways... updates: Realised in the Poke Tower that'd I was screwed with fighting types... and had to read Ikwaylx's blogs to figure out how to beat it. So I got the Rock Slide TM and taught it to Primape, powered my way through the tower, caught a cubone, traded for the Machoke/Machamp. Beat the fighting gym and Chose Hitmonlee... probably not the better choice, but oh well.

Then as I reached Fuschia City, I realised when the Machamp wasn't listening to me, that I never beat Erika. So I went and beat her gym, went back down to Fuschia, caught a few pokemon in the Safari Zone (Including a Marowak :D, and 2 or 3 Tauros). Got the Surf HM, and the Teeth, Got the Strength HM, And I just beat Koga.

I also caught a Poliwag somewhere along the way, which is now a poliwhirl.

the water gym was tough O_o
so i skipped it, came back after SS anne with super golem,
and pwnt misty with mega punch, then pwnt the Celadon gym with the exact same move. I realized i skipped vermilion so i came back. pwnt them with EQ lol. went to safari zone, got rhyhorn and now here i am.
with 4 badges.
Since i got surf, i am close to getting Kabuto and Aerodactyl, but ill wait.

do i get marked before or after beating blue?
oh and I have a future team for silver

Update:
Just beat Giovanni... and lol'd as my Level 35 Hitmonlee took down his level 55 Rhydon.

Before that, I went through Silph Co. Beat My Rival/Giovanni, went up and beat Sabrina.

Flew to Pallet and surfed to Cinnabar. Went through the Secret Mansion, got the Key, opened up the Gym, fought all the trainers in their using Surf. Healed and beat Blaine.

Flew to Viridian City, and just beat Giovanni. Poliwhirl Surfed a few down, Then got murdered by Persian, then Primeape beat down everything till Rhydon. At that point, I only had my Hitmonlee left, so I used a revive on Poliwhirl, and then just beat on the Rhydon. I won with the hitmonlee :p

Now it's off to the Elite 4.

Here's my first monologue =D
Monologue:

And so the story begins, our hero (Ayheero) sets out to begin his journey in Kanto, great things await for Ayheero as he is taking the Ultimate challenge at which trainers play through all reigons, but that's only if his rival (Dexus) has nothing to say about it. But even more hardcore he's not just doing all reigons, no. He is a Monotype trainer specialising in Ground type Pokémon, can Ayheero overcome this challenge? Of course, but it'll be pretty awesome to monologue how he does it, have fun :]
First Update; Sunday
Ayheero began his adventure, he went down to hid local lab and picked Bulbasaur as a Starter. None to worry, he shall be replaced after the first gym. He decided not to nickname him as he didn't want to get too attached. Just as Ayheero was leaving the lab Dexus challenged him to a battle. Dexus had chosen a charmander. Oak tried to explain battling to Ayheero but Ayheero was no n00b so he pressed the space-bar speed up function on the VBA to skip it. Ayheero wasn't playing much attention just holding space and pressing A franticly. When he looked he saw his Bulbasaur was at 3 HP so he used a potion, from there victory was assured and Ayheero left the lab victorious. On the way up through Route 1 a kind Poke mart salesman gave Ayheero a free potion, Ayheero then realised how long it would take the write the games like this and decided to not do it further.
Received oaks parcel and delivered it.
Received Pokedex and Poke balls.
Beat Brock.
Bulbasaur Evolved.
Caught Nidoran Male =D
Deposited my Ivysaur.
Realised I didn't nickname my Nidoran D=
Level grinded Nidoran to Lv.15
Entered Rock tunnel.
Defeated a Bug catcher and a Lass then my Nidoran Evolved =D
Nidorino kicked some ass.
Forgot Leer for Poison Sting.
Captured a Geodude.

Hehe, the MAgic of VBA FAst Forward strikes again!

Started Gold, input Darkshk as my name, set the time, all that jazz I've seen 80 times.
Chose Cyndaquil, delivered the egg, fought my rival, and won. NAmed my Rival ???, Fought my way to Falkner's town :p
Tried beating him with only Cyndaquil at level 9, didn't work, grinded cyndaquil to level 17 or so, so he evolved :p
Got the fishing pole and caught a poliwag.
Leveled the Poliwag through the Cave
Beat Bugsy, Beat ???
Chased the Farfetch'd to the kid, then taught Cut, and Headbutt to Quilava. Then I wasted like 20 minutes headbutting trees in Ilex Forest, till I realised... you can't find Heracross there.
So I went through the entire forest, caught a Drowsee, Traded it for a Machop, Leveled the MAchop on my way back to a route with Heracross, caught one.
Beat Whitney, got my Badge.
Went up to the Tower in Morty's Town, beat my Rival, Beat the Sisters, Got Surf, taught it to Poliwhirl, Beat Morty.
Went to Olivine, fought up the Lighthouse, went back down, surfed to Kurt's town and got the Secretpotion, returned, and gave it to whatever the gym leader's name is.
Beat her.
Got Strength, taught it to MAchoke, surfed back to Kurt's Town. (Cianwood?)
Beat that gym, got fly.
Surfed back to Olivine, again. Caught a Farfetch'd.
Went to Mahogany town, did the Team Rocket stuff, Caught the Gyarados.
Beat the Ice Gym.
Went back to Goldenrod to save the Radio Tower, and I just finished that.

Hey guys, I beat Roarke in Oreburg city... I have an Aipom and a Bibarel and I am trying to catch a Munchlax (Which will take forever) and a Buneary (Much simpler) My emulator is being an evil pain and will only save data at work for som reason, if I go there and it has no data Imma start all over again DX.... Oh wellz....

Just beat all of Gold :p

After saving the Tower, I went through the Ice Cave, And Ice Punched Clair down.
Got my Badge after giving Poliwhirl Waterfall, and giving the Gyarados Surf/Whirlpool.
Flew down to New Bark, got the MAsterball, surfed over to Kanto, fought my way all the way up the route to Victory Cave.
Got the Earthquake TM, Beat my Rival, Taught Earthquake to Heracross.
After some grinding, I beat the E4.
At this point... Heracross and Poliwhirl were taking over, and Machoke really just stopped being helpful.
So, I got on the boat and beat all the trainers, got off, went to Vermillion Gym, and EQ'ed my way through that gym.
Blah blah all that stuff we've heard before.
I got to Blue's Gym, and won with 1 hp left (On my two main pokemon, I still had revives and things).
Talked to Oak, and got access to Mt. Silver.
I went there, and tried a few times to beat Red with my pokemon in the lower 60s, which didn't work out after I got to Espeon.
So I grinded both of them to 70, and then the battle went something like this:
Go Butterfree (Flash pokemon), used Dire Hit
Pikachu used Thunder, Butterfree fainted.
Go Heracross, Use EQ.
Pikachu fainted.
Red sends out Venasaur.
2 EQ's and down goes Venasaur.
Red Sends out Charizard.
I send out Poliwrath (I finally got the Waterstone from Bill's Grampa).
Waterfall a few times, and Charizard faints.
Red sends out Espeon, I send out Heracross.
Earthquake Crits and one hits Espeon.
Red sends out Snorlax, I use EQ and get knocked out.
I send out Poliwrath and Waterfall or Ice Punch it dead or something :p
He sends out Blastoise, I finish off with a Crit EQ after reviving Heracross.

And that's how Gold went :p

On to Ruby :p
