I want to sign up for Water if that's ok? :3 I kinda already started off, but I had no internet earlier... I'm using Pkmn Blue and of course started with Squirtle.

UPDATE:

Went south of Violet City.
Obtained the Miracle Seed.
Gave Miracle Seed to Hoppip (even though it doesn't know any Grass-type moves).
Went thorugh Union Cave.
Caught a lv. 7 Zubat.
Did all the Team Rocket events.
Defeated Bugsy (ohh... so easy).
Defeated Rival.
Obtained HM01 Cut in Ilex Forest.
Caught a Paras and taught said move.
Obtained TM Headbutt and taught it to Hoppip.
Left Ilex Forest.
Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto (hooray!)
Hoppip evolved into Skiploom (double hooray!)
And after about 5 tries I finally defeated Whitney thanks to a little bit of luck, Sleep Powder and Quick Attack.

My Team -

Tackle
Mud-Slap

Butterfree (Level 20)

Confusion
Tackle
Sleep Powder

Supersonic

HM Slaves: Paras (Cut)

Currently training Zubat...

Well, let's see. . . . I got a cyndaquil and got all the way to Goldenrod before I remembered that the game corner in Crystal does't sell Dratini. XP So now I have to get Whirlpool so I can get a Horsea.

Well, I ended up starting my Ground challenge on Fire Red so I can get double kick early, and I couldn't get a Yellow version ROM. I beat Brock with Bulbasaur because Nidoran is only available after. I'm in Mt. Moon, and I just caught a Geodude.

Team:
Nido/Nidoran M Lv.12
Leer
Peck
Focus Energy
Double Kick
Rocky/Geodude Lv.7
Tackle
Defense Curl
Mud Sport
Rock Tomb
HM Slave/Bulbasaur Lv.18
No need for moveset

Ulp...

Yeah, after G/S/C, this run will go into hiatus. Why? Because I need to finish the Browndex. However, OrbOAwsmns, Magneeto, and Lanturn will all go to Brown to aid Charizard, Mew, and Hitmonlee at winning, so the run will have a use. Also, 2 legendary dogs and one bird will go, and so will a Whooper and a Murkrow, and maybe one or two others, and then I'm getting rid of the ROM to make space for a Red ROM, which I will use for the Fossils and for 1 bird and Mewtwo.

So, yeah. Expect aan update this weekend, and hopefully, I will finish.

Hasn't been awhile since I updated soo....
-Beat the 2nd Gym
-Beat the 3rd Gym
-Went through Rock Tunnel

and

I beat the whole Celadon and Lavender Town fun stuff and caught A Cubone so to complete my team before full out training for the 5th Gym I bipassed many trainers and manuvered my ninja self down the cycling road down to Fuchsia City. I immeadiately went to the Safari Zone and captured A Nidorina and a Rhyhorn. Unsure if I was going to use Ryhorn, I went back and tried to catch a Kanghaskan as it was a Ground type in Red. I ran in to a few but to no avail, didn't catch one :( . So here is my team as of right now....

King/Nidoking lv.43
-Moveset not available at this time

Igneous/Graveler lv.41
-Moveset not available at this time

Queen/Nidoqueen lv.33
-Moveset not available at this time

Deana/Ryhorn lv.30 [I have a feeling I will ditch this guy and catch a Kanghaskan]
-Moveset not available at this time

Rambo/Cubone lv.24 -.-
-Moveset not available at this time

So now I will go back and catch a Kanghaskan and train my new additions to my party till the levels are pretty much equaled out. Wish me luck!

Kangaskhan is Normal-type, not Ground-type. Always has been.

Sorry for the lack of updates... But guess what...? I've beaten the Yellow E4!!!!!!
Now I'm gonna continue with Silver.

Completed Fire red.
I did it a while ago but went on Holdiday since and this is one of the few times I'llbe online.
I'll post my team and reviews.
Oh, and I'll start Gold when I get back.
Team;

Maniac/Graveler Lv.58
[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Monotype Challenge

-Magnitude
-Rollout
-Rock Slide
-Mega punch.

Review:Not too great, Rollout was powerful but pretty much any water or grass pokemon would destroy him.

Marlo/Marowak Lv.55
[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Monotype Challenge

-Bone club.
-Fire Blast.
-Blizzard
-False Swipe.

Review: Essential, I doubt I would of beaten the E4 without him, I guarentee that with some training he could take the E4 on his own.

Mannifesto/Nidoking Lv.61
[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Monotype Challenge

-Flamethrower.
-Shock Wave.
-Water Pulse.
-Double Kick

Review: Best pokemon on team, probably cause he stayed alive most so got the most Exp. but both him and queen and great for variety.

Deception/Nidoqueen Lv.49
[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Monotype Challenge

-Ice Beam.
-Surf.
-Brick Break.
-Aerial Ace.

Review: Potential to be as good as Nidoking but slacked on the Levels when I didn't use him on gyms much.

Squadz/Dugtrio Lv.45
[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Monotype Challenge

-Sludge ball.
-Slash.
-Sunny Day.
-Rock Smash.

Review: Worst Pokemon on team, the only reason he didn't slack so much was because I used Sunny Day then switched to Kangaskhan and showered Solar Beams.

Sleuf/Kangaskhan Lv.52
[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Monotype Challenge

-Earthquake
-Solar beam.
-Thunder.
-Shadow Ball.

Review:A massive powerhouse to my team, not as strong as Nido's because they have the advantage with poison point which is awesome, but he was still brilliant and took out Pokemon with 10 levels on him with one hit.

Kangaskhan is Normal-type, not Ground-type. Always has been.

As you can see, .hack used a Kangaskhan for his ground monotype challenge and he was added to the next region so I see no reason that I can't also use one...

Then you're both wrong. Sure, you can go ahead and use one if you really want, but surely the entire point of a monotype challenge is the challenge of going through the game using just one type. To use an old cliche, you'll only be cheating yourself.

I agree with Charmageddon. If you use a normal type on a ground type team, you instantly cheat the challange, because he doesn't have ANY of the normal ground weaknesses. If you're going to use a pokemon that is immune to or is neutral to the weaknesses, then it should be you're type (I.E. Lanturn 3rd gen onwards is immune to Electric, and Ludicolo is neutral to grass, but they both are Waters.) If you use a pokemon that resists, say, Ground on a Fire run, then you know it isn't the right type, as a pokemon with a Fire type must either be weak to, be neutral to, or be immune to ground. Exceptions include Horsea on a dragon run before it is fully evolved, but if you're pokemon needs to evolve to gain a type, then it needs evolved IMMIDIATLY.

I've had very little time to play...But here is a bit of an update...

I caught a Spearow, but I will most likely not be using it.

I'm going through Rock Tunnel now. A Hiker's Geodude knocked out Muffin, so I'll have to get through with just Ytar.

Party:

"image removed"
Ytar (Raticate) Level 28

-Thunderbolt
-Hyper Fang
-Tail Whip
-Quick Attack.

"image removed"
Muffin (Clefairy) Level 28

-Bubble Beam
-Double Slap
-Pound
-Sing

______________________

The best thing about Normal types is all of the TMs they have. (Bubble Beam, Thunderbolt, ect.) Using all of them, I can easily counter most types. I JUST NEED MORE!

Okay, I see what you all mean. I guess I will use Ryhorn/Rydon instead of Kangas.

.......

I hate Lorelei.

I finished Pokemon gold yesterday, I ended up doing a solo Furret run and easily disposed of Red.

Final team:

*pokemonelite2000 image removed*Furret level 79
Slam
Ice Punch
Fire Punch
Thunderpunch

I don't feel like starting Ruby or Emerald yet, but when I do I'll start updating.

Well, seems I have to resume my Water challenge on Friday as school won't let me play.
But the good thing is i've had a lot of time to plan my team.

For now the Kanto Champion Team would be:

Blastoise
Gyarados
Omastar/Kabutops
Poliwrath
Vaporeon
(Open spot for HM Slave)

...SO whaddya think?

Sooo... I have started on Silver.

-Started
-Named myself Reich
-Chose Chikorita
-Went to mr Pokémon
-Got the egg
-Beated Rival
-Went back and gave prof the egg
-Caught a Weedle
-Weedle evolved
-Sarted beating all the trainers with only POISON STING!

-Beedrill learned Fury Attack
-Destroyed the tower.
