Update:
Went to violet city
Caught a Zubat in Dark cave, named her Vampi
Beat all trainers in the sprout tower
Trained my team to lv 13
Beat falkner using Vampi's bite

You can't use Scizor, it's a Bug/Steel type. You could use Scyther though.

As for other options, Jumpluff gets some good set-up moves (Leech Seed, Stun Spore, etc), but is pretty weak elsewhere. Yanmega would be my choice, an excellent pokemon with a great moveset, and not only that but he looks damn cool. Xatu is an option too - and I can't remember whether Skarmory is a HG or SS exclusive.

Thanks for reminding me about Scizor. i'll just stick with scyther instead (and now i don't need to look for a metal coat)

I think i'll go with xatu instead of gligar because it doesn't need any items to evolve, and i could use a psychic type + it's catchable earlier in the game.

Grinded PizzaFungi and Mothra to level 24, PizzaFungi evolved. Boxed Butterfree. Went to Bill. Beat the Grunt. Beat Misty.
Staryu went down to Poison+Confusion, i got a real lot of confuhax, it couldn't attack a single time. Starmie was - of course - a lot harder. It managed to fire some Bubblebeams, Mothra fainted when Starmie was at maybe 20% HP. PizzaFungi came in, used Dig (Leech Life would probably have been enough, but i just wanted to see Starmie suffer from poison >:) ) and KOd it.

OK, she didn't specifically SAY that you could, but she would consider it.

EDIT: NEVER say that the RB Parasect was good. If you turn it upside-down, and look at the markings on the left (right when it is rightside-up) you get... well... look up Slowflake's "Bad RBY pokemon sprites" video.
 
Hoenn second entry:

-got Go-Goggles from Brendan
-went into the desert and picked up the Root Fossil
-went south and then west and got to Rustboro City and then just went on and got to the Petalburg City

Went through union cave
Beat the rocket grunts and Lance at the slowpoke well
Beat Silvr
Defeated all the gym trainers + Bugsy
Went in ot the ilex forest and caugt both those Farfech'd
Captured a paras, named it "Slave"
Got trough the forest and defeated all trainers on the next route
Got the Bike
Participated in the bug contest and got myself a Scyther, and named him SaitR
Defeated all the Gym trainers, and beat Whitney. Yay!

I beat Leafgreen!

I totally pwned the 7th gym, all Starmie's Surf 1 hit KOed.
Cleared the stuff at the sevii islands, beat Moltres.
Beat the 8th gym with blastoise's Surf.
Got trough Victory road.
Challenged the elite 4.

Lorelei got beaten by a 4+ attack and Speed Gyarados sweep.

Bruno's fighting pokemon got beat5en by Starmie's Psychic, his Onixes by Surf.

Agatha got beaten by Starmie's Psychic.

Lance got beaten by Blastioses Blizzard, missed 2 times on Dragonite. Surf for Aerodactyl.

My rival was also easy. I got lucky for hitting all Blizzards.
Starting of with Blizzard, KOing Pidgeot.
Then Blizzard KOed Exxecutor.
Then Blizzard Koed Venusaur.
Toxic and Substitute stalling, using Full restores to kill Alakazam. He used 3 full restores!
Surf for Arcanine.
Surf for Rhydon.

My rival got SOLOed bt Blastoise.

Trained them up.
Beat Falkner with Water gun/Hypnosis.
got trough the sprout tower, which was surprisingly easy.

Beat team rocket.
Beat Bugsy handily.

My rival was kinda hard.
Water Gun beat gastly.
Goldeen's Peck beat bayleef after some Super potion somehow.
Zubat was easy with Water gun.

Got to Goldenrod.
Buyed TM Ice punch and teached it to Croconaw.

Withney was kinda hard too.
Clefairy got PWned by Water gun.
Miltank used Rollout when he was almost Koed. He killed my Poliwag first in 2 hits, then Goldeen in 1, and then my 2 slaves. Croconaw KOed him with Ice punch.

I released Goldeen and poliwag.
Went to Ecruteak and then back to Goldenrod.
Got mah Eevee.
Saved the game.

Sorry I haven't been updating my monotype challenge, but I've been extremely busy with work and such. I promise to update later this week. Finding the E4 incredibly difficult.
 
UPDATE

Went to ecruteak, defeated sudowoodo on the way there, got rock smash and taught it to Slave.
Defeated rival in brass tower
Released the hounds (XD)
Defeated morty with SaitR's pursuit powers
Defeated all trainers on my way to olivine
got the good rod in Olivine
Defeated everyone in the Lighthouse
Caught a Krabby (as temporary surf slave until i got Gyarados)
Surfed to Cianwood and defeated all trainers on my way, and Golbat evolved at level 28 (2 massages in the underground + holding Soothe Bell)
Defeated chuck easily.
Lost to Eusine (stupid electrode.....)
Gave Amphy the SecretPotion
Moved on to Mahogny to catch the Red Gyarados before taking on Jasmine
Caught Gyarados, named him □Red□
Taught □Red□ Surf and Strength
Currently i'm in the rocket HQ.

Well, i didn't read the entire thread before i posted that, so i couldn't know that.... Maybe i'll try one of these types later, sounds like fun

And about the Parasect sprite, i don't really care about that markings saying some swear word, i'm just meaning it looks a lot more like vermin than Yellow Parasect, which makes it look more realistic...


I'm at Celadon now, and i beat Erika, of course without any trouble. Just found out i accidentally skipped Surge, but since beating isn't really important, i can still do that later. I will try not to use Pinsir or Scyther, cause i'm really into Parasect at the moment.

I wanted to do things slower this time, but i failed at it... I'm already done with Yellow
Boss Fights:
Sabrina: Simple set-up strategy
Surge: lol, i was in the mid 50s when i finally fought him
Koga: Swept by the moth
Blaine: Led with Venomoth, used Sleep Powder, set up with Parasect and swept. Rapidash used Ember, which hurt, but Arcanine used Take down, whew...
Giovanni: Led with Parasect, set up on Duggy (Fissure missed of course) and swept

Lorelei: Put Dewgong to sleep, used 2 X-Special and swept her with Venomoth. Got paralyzed by a Body Slam from Lapras, but won.
Bruno: Venomoth had no Mega Drains left, but i OHKOd all his Pokemon anyway
Agatha: Again, weak to Psychic -> swept by Venomoth
Lance: Parasect set up (3SD+1XSpeed), killed Gyarados and the Dragonairs, but failed to beat Aero. Venomoth beat the rest quite easily.

Blue, or whatever i called him like: Set up on Sandslash wih Parasect (with 2 X-Speed this time) and swept most of his team. Vaporeon survived a Slash, got a crit with something and KOd Parasect, but fell to Venomoth.

My MVP out of the 2, could have solo'd the Elite 4, if there wouldn't be things like PP and that Aerodactyl (and maybe Alakazam would have caused problems as well). Psybeam for frailer stuff because Psychic runs out of PP quickly

I didn't need a Flying slave for the whole game, but after i beat Giovanni i realized i still had to pick up the PP Up in Celadon and buy some X-Items there, i prefered to catch a Pidgey instead of walking all the way

For the same reason why used Parasect: I never used it much, but i want to try this thing out. Annoying: Bug Bite requires a Heartscale, if i don't get any, i've to go with stuff like Leech Life or Return. If it's too weak, a Scyther, Pinsir or Heracross will take its place.

:t168: Bug Buzz, Psychic, Shadow Ball/Giga Drain, Sleep Powder
For Compoundeyes abuse. If it's too weak, a Tinted Lens Yanma (Yanmega if i can evolve it pre-national dex) or Venomoth will replace it

:t205: Gyro Ball, Payback, Explosion, Bug Bite
This will be way harder than Kanto, so i'll need something that can take hits. 4 Attack moveset because Spikes suck ingame, Toxic Spikes will require a Heartscale (i hope Rock Smash gets infinite Heartscales, i haven't tried it out yet), and most good TMs are only obtainable at the Battle Frontier.

Isn't Eevee Platinum exclusive? I'm pretty sure you can't get it before the National Dex in Diamond

Damn, it's been way too long since my last update. I've just been so busy lately, I haven't really found the time to move on with my challenge, but I'm for sure not gonna give up! If I can go through all four generations using only Fire-type Pokémon, why shouldn't I be able to do the same thing with Grass-type Pokémon? Anyways, it's time for another update!

2nd Johto entry

Since last update, I've been moving through Johto, beating trainers and gym leaders and catching Pokémon - It seems like my planned final team will have to be changed a bit. Recently, I trashed Morty after having grinded all my Pokémon up to level 30. (Except Bayleef, which I grinded up to level 32, just cuz I wanted it to evolve) Then, I tried to find Gina, the Picnicker, and get her phone number, because she gives away Leaf Stones, which I need. Whilst trying to find her, I came across a couple trees to headbutt, and luckily, I caught an Exeggcute, which made my day. Only problem now is, I need either three Leaf Stones or two and a Sun Stone in order to evolve three of my Pokémon; Gloom, Weepinbell and Exeggcute.

OH MY GOSH!! i checked on Serebii and it said you get it from Bebe, but i didn't go into details (this is my second time playing D/P/Pt an the first was on my flying type challange lol). I googled it now and its true :'(. but nwm my last post then haha. I'll start Platinum when I get in the mood to play again the Intro part. And thanks for telling me that soon enough.
