Ultimate Monotype Challenge

Seeing as Pokemon games no longer challenge me, this seems like a nice perk up.

I'll start with Water to be easy on my first go.
I'll be using an emulator(if that's ok) because The only games I have anymore are Platinum(lots of important stuff, don't wanna restart) and Sapphire (I have a Dsi)

I'n currently doing a monotype bug/flying with Butterfree (yes, i willingly picked the weakest evolutonary line i could get) in Pokemon Yellow, currently getting my ass handed to me by bruno.

I've decided to do this challenge with ground type Pokemon in Yellow Version. :3

-Named Rival Douche
- Received Pikachu
- Beat Rival easily
- delivered parcel
- Caught Pidgey
- Caught Nidoran
- Realized Nidoran sucks
- Training Nidoran to lvl 10 before Viridian Forest.

Obtained Squirtle!
Went to Viridian, got the parcel..etc.
Went through Viridian Forest, spent some time training there. (got squirtle to lv 15) exited forest.
Went into Pewter Gym, Squirtle evolved after beating the trainer.
OHKO'd Brock.
Went along the road, fought some trainers. Wartortle is lv 19.
Bought a Magikarp from the Seller on Route 4. Did some training with both in Mt. Moon. Magikarp got to lv 14. Wartortle to lv 21.
Exited from Mt. Moon.
Pretty much owned my Rival at Nugget Bridge.
Beat 3 of the 5 trainers on Nugget Bridge and beat the trainers in Misty's gym.
Magikarp got to lv 17
Wartortle got to lv 24

Update:
Completed Generation 1 omgeezy! Beat it monospecies with only charizard. Not doing any more monospecies, very boring.

Anyways up to Generation 2 and back to a retro Crystal :D


Holy Guacamole! 900% speed-2000% speed. This shouldnt take long.

(Unimportant plot points.having to do with team rocket at pokemon tower, silph and viridain gym.)
After many trials, remaining (Mostly) Undeafeated, I made it through Victory Road.
Bought several healing items. (Full restores, Hyper potions and revives, to be exact.)

Plowed through Bruno
Plowed through Agatha (All ghosts were still poision at this point, making them weak to psychic, kinda defeating their purpose.)
Got Run over By Lance.
Said "Screw It!" And reset.

Edit: I beat the league, and this is the first time I have done so with generation 1.
Toxic Really did come in handy, especially against Blue's Jolten. (It's not normally A problem, but it knows pin missile, a repetitive bug type attack,which pyschic's are weak to.)

I will now start on GSC, I want crystal, but Silver is the one I got started on. But crystal it is.

Arrive in Celadon, by some TMs
Beat Celadon Gym and all its trainers.
Obtained Eevee!
Used Rare candy and Water stone immediately.
Grind experience for it.
Headed into the Rocket Hideout.

Ok Second to last Update

After grinding for some exp for everyone
i went to safari zone
got surf/ gold teeth
got strength
dominated Koga's gym
went to the seafoam islands for some water pokemom
poliwhirl evolves!
Luckily, I caught a Dewgong and Staryu :D
trained staryu some (dewgong was already lv 38)
exited seafoam islands on Fuschia City side( i'm not going through there, i dont need articuno)
went to Saffron, beat the dojo, did Silph Co and Beat Sabrina
went to Pallet town, surfed south from there to cinnabar (shortcuts ftw)
did a run through of Pokemon Mansion
went through Blaine's gym within 2 minutes (not kidding)
surfed back to pallet, then to Viridian
Ran through Giovanni's gym quickly
Staryu evolves!
Walked on towards Victory Road
fought rival, only troubling pokemon of his were Alakazam and Venusaur
continued on....

Update time:

-Beat Claire and won my final badge. Gyarados and Crobat were beasts :)
-Went to the cave behind the Gym and passed the 'test'.
-Flew back to New Bark Town and made my way to the league.
-Levelled a bit...
-Got bored, so challenged the league ridiculously under levelled.
-Bought lots of revives, hyper potions, full restores etc.
-vs Will: used Crobat and Gyarasos' bite attacks to full effect. Noctowl finished Exeggutor
-vs Koga: Noctowl, Crobat and Scythers flying type attacks delt with the majority of his team.
-vsBruno: Same as above for his fighting types, Mantine took down Onix.
-vs Karen: mixture of pokemon to overpower her.

vs Lance:
- Gyarados was taken down by Scyther, spammed Slash.
- Crobat spammed Confuse Ray/Bite and due to confusion/flinches Dragonite went down
- Same tactic as above, but Crobat did go down. Gyarados finished up.
- Switched Mantine in, and Surfed. Aerodactyl was down to the red, but Rock slide took mantine out. Gyarados finished up.
- Switched Noctowl in against his last Gyarados to stall and heal. Revived Crobat and healed Gyarados. Similar story to the second Dragonite.
-Down to one pokemon each, Gyarados vs Charizard. I Hydro Pumped and Charizard was in the Red. He Hyper Beamed which left Gyardos with 9 HP, but on the recharge I Waterfalled to become champion.

-Was inducted into the Hall of Fame
-Credits.....
-Got SS Ticket from Elm and saved
