Somehow in Emerald I've managed to make it with 3 badges.

Roxanne was a piece o' cake obviously with her Rock types, Dewford took me ages though :[
Mauville was easy and Flannery is a beast that cannot be stopped. I know my pokemon are grass but jeez, I trained a lot I thought. Everytime I get close she stomps me.

Leafgreen water monotype:

-Started the game. Named myself Winter. My rival's name is Matt.
-Picked up my squirtle from Professor Oak, named him Aegean, Aegean defeated Matt's bulbasaur
-Got to Viridian, fought with Matt again, emerged victorious
Fought my way into pewter city with only Aegean. Viridian forest was irritating, all the poisoning!
-Went to fight Brock. Aegean evolved into a wartortle just before I fought him. The battle was a piece of cake and I defeated Brock!
-Moved along to Mt Moon. Bought a magikarp for $500, named her Vedenemo
-Trained Vedenemo in Mt Moon by getting Aegean to fight her battles for her
-Picked up a Dome fossil in Mt Moon, not that I'm going to resurrect it...
-Trained Vedenemo more in the route beside Cerulean city, Vedenemo eventually evolved into a Gyarados!
-Fought Matt again, still victorious
-Nugget bridge! Then I met Bill the clefairy...I mean human. I get a ship ticket
-Fought Misty with my water pokemon. It worked out, so it was fine and I defeated her
-Team rocket's up to no good! Defeated a grunt, got TM28 Dig
-Commenced my journey to Vermillion City. Caught a Meowth along the way to learn Flash and Cut
-I get stuff done on the SS Anne. I see Matt, I defeat Matt. I get HM01 Cut from the captain!
-I get off the SS Anne and defeat Lt Surge. It wasn't fun, but I made it somehow
I run through Diglett Cave to get back to Pewter City so I can pick up HM05 Flash. I teach Meowth Flash
-Rock tunnel is boring. I eventually reach Lavender City, yay!
-I go into Lavender Tower and meet Matt again. I defeat him
-I go to Celadon to get an Eevee. I pay $2100 for a water stone to evolve him into Vaporeon. His name is Neptune
-I teach Neptune Dig for some type coverage
-I fight and defeat Erika. Again, not very fun.
-I go onto the top part of route 16 to get HM02 Fly!
-Team Rocket again! I don't like their arrows and stuff. While fighting grunts, Aegean evolves into Blastoise!
-I defeat Giovanni after some wandering around in the base. I get the Silph Scope
-I return to Lavender to free the spirit of the ghost Marowak and to free Mr Fuji from the Rockets. I obtain the pokeflute!
-I go through Route 12, waking up a Snorlax, then obtaining a super rod
-I fly back to Vermillion City to catch a Staryu. I name it Valene
-I go through the routes leading to Fuchsia, then I fly to Celadon to get some Tea so I can enter Saffron
-Pick up TM29 Psychic! Taught it to Valene, who has been evolved into a Starmie
-Went through cycling road
-Got HM03 Surf from the Safari Zone! Taught it to all my water pokemon!
-Defeated Koga. It was easy with Valene spamming Psychic

Update #3: Johto CLEARED
-Trained Poliwag up to level 25 so she'd evolve
-Beat Whitney
-Headed up to Sudowoodo, only to have to head back for the squirt bottle. Never really got the point of that whole thing. Also took the guard's Spearow for Fly
-Got the Squirt Bottle, accidently KO'd Sudowoodo, which I wanted for HM's but meh.
-Went to Ecruteak and got HM03 for beating the Kimono girls
-Beat Rival in Burned Tower and freed the Legendary Beasts
-Headed east, cut through Mt. Mortar and beat Fisher Tully, in hopes of a Water Stone. Also caught a Machop for Strength and Rock Smash
-Went back, then headed west, picked up HM04 and caught a Chinchou in Olivine
-Headed back to Ecruteak, where I beat Morty
-Headed to Olivine, and went up the Light House, where Chinchou evolved
-Got my orders and headed to Cianwood, Lanturn had some fun on the way with all the swimmers
-Slowpoke handled all the fighting types and beat Chuck
-Got HM02
-Flew back to Olivine, delivered the meds and beat Jasmine with Poliwhirl
-Flew to Mahogany, headed to the lake and caught the red gyarados, ran into lance and headed back to town
-Got a Water Stone and evolved Poliwhirl
-Went into the Rocket Hideout, beat everyone in there, mostly using Slowpoke
-Got HM06
-Beat the gym Trainers with Lanturn and Pryce with Poliwrath, who learned Submission
-Beat the trainers on the way to the Ice Path
-Flew to Azalea to train in the lower levels of the Union Cave
-Let Lanturn KO Lapras
-Went to Goldenrod
-Slowpoke evolved after the first Rocket Grunt in Goldenrod
-After clearing out all the rockets, everyone was level 40
-Found HM07 in the Ice Path…which totodile can't learn…
-In retrospect, the only reason I found the ice path puzzle hard as a kid is because I went to fast and didn't use repels
-made it to Blackthorn City
-Defeated Clair with ease, went into the Dragon's Den, passed the test and got the badge
-Removed Surf and replaced it with Waterfall on Poliwrath
-Went south back to New Bark and got the master ball before heading to the league
-Headed to the pokemon league
-Made it through the incredibly short Victory Road
-Going into the Pokemon league everyone was level 45
-Beat the Elite Four and Lance with out much difficulty
-Heading into Kanto:
-Set sail, beat all the trainers and found the girl
-Arrived in Vermillion, but before going in the gym, went to visit Mr. Psychic and got me TM29 for my Slowbro
-Went back and beat LT. Surge, then went to Saffron and beat Sabrina, both with Slowbro doing everything
-headed north of Cerulean, beat the Nugget Bridge
-Went to Celadon, and Poliwrath beat all the gym trainers and Erika solo
-Went to Fuschia, and despite the lack of type advantage, Lanturn demolished Janine's lvl 33 team
-Went to the power plant, found out about the missing part, found it, returned it, found Misty, went to her gym and beat all her trainers and her with Lanturn
-Went to wake up snorlax only to realize I don't have a radio… flew to the Indigo Plataue and WALKED back to New Bark, flew to Goldenrod, got the radio card, flew back to New Bark, surfed to Route 27 and then flew back to Vermillion
-Ko'd Snorlax out of annoyance
-Let Poliwhirl beat Brock to catch up in level
-At this point, everyone is level 53
-Went to Mt. Moon, beat Rival there and headed south to Viridian, to Pallet and Surfed to Cinnabar, met Blue, went to the Seafoam Island to OHKO all of Blaine's Pokemon with Lanturn's Surf
-Beat Blue
-Went to mt. Silver, got lost without Flash, so I flew to violet, stormed the Sprout Tower, got HM05, and taught it to Togepi
-Made it to Red, my team is level 55.
Red Battle
-Pikachu: Started with Poliwrath, survived Thunder, put it to sleep, I got him to use 2 full restores to wake him up only to have me put it back to sleep in the same turn. Switched to Slowbro who OHKO'd it with Earthquake
-Espeon: in the process of trading shots, it got a lucky crit and KO'd slowbro. Lanturn confused it. Slowbro KO'd it with Shadow Ball
-Snorlax: Healed Poliwrath, put it to sleep and hacked away with submission until I got critical hit AGAIN, and finished it with an Earthquake
-Venusaur: sacrificed Slowbro to revive Poliwrath, put it to sleep, it stayed asleep long enough to revive and heal my team. It woke up and drew sunlight, but I put it back to sleep, and switched to Slowbro who ko'd it with 3 psychics
-Blastoise: Spark paralyzed it; lanturn just hacked away until it went down
-Charizard: said screw it and just waterfalled and surfed it until it went down

EDIT: Named myself Dude and Rival Kal. Chose Bulbasaur ( nicknamed him Seedy) and beat my rival. Deliered Oaks parcel to Professor Oak and trained to level 13. I beat my rival Kal again and went through Viridian Forest. I beat Brock and also evolved. I cleared my way to Mt.Moon and caught a Paras. Got out of Mt. Moon and healed up. Beat Rival Kal again and went up to to Bill. Saved Bill and went down to Misty. Beat Misty on my first try.

Just beat Roark, got Drifloon (Shade) and Gastly (Enigma) and then beat Gardenia thanks to 'floon. I'm in the galactic building in Eterna now.

Smallish update

I went back into the volcano cave thingy, to move the boulders to see what i could find (toxic and a fire stone) and, by a stroke of luck, a gastly appeared! Even more grinding!... yay. im estatic about THAT of allll things :\

After a surprisingly short grinding session, i went to Petalburg and battled my "Dad".

The battle was pretty challenging. I developed the strategy to attck while he loafed and heal when he attacked and it worked pretty good.

Caught a zigzagoon for hm slave, and surfed on route 118

caught a linoone in place of the zigzagoon, because he's a better slave.

made it to the weather center thingy, and now currently grinding

I went down to train and found a Oddish! Caught it and started training, then realized i didn't want it, so i put it in the PC. I started to train and finally went on the SS Anne. I beat all the trainers then beat my Rival. Got Cut and taught it to my newly evolved Parasect. Taught Parasect Dig for the electric gym and beat Lt.Surge. Got through Mt.Moon simply and battled all of the trainers. I went to Celadon and beat Erika.

Ok, new Leafgreen Bug update (no Water update cuz my brother uses the DS for his ultimate solo challenge with Tyranitar)

- brought Pinsir in the Game Corner, named it Pincher
- beat Erika (cant remember anything else than using Confusion)
- beat rockets in the Game Corner
- calmed cubones mother
- rescued Fuji and got Pokeflute
- beat Cycling Road and Silence Bridge routes
- beat rockets in Silph co.
- got the Master Ball to send to Diamond
- beat Sabrina with only Stinger´s Twineedle
- beat Koga with Winger´s Psychic and Pincher´s Return
- beat up all the swimmers between Fuchsia and Pallet
- found secret key in the mansion (i ran out of repels 2 steps from it)
- beat Blaine. Pincher´s Rock Slide OHKO´ed his first 3 pokemon´s, but Arcanine survived a hit and used Fire Blast... And missed! i beat it with Return for a higher accuracy hit, an then i got my 7. badge.
- doing the Sevii stuff for training

From now on my Team will be in the post rather than in my signature(now i can use pictures again. Yay:D)

Sabrina:
Kadabra stood no chance against a few well-landed hits from Dodrio. Golbat took down Mr. Mime with a few Bites. Dragonair took care of Venomoth with two Slams. Finally, Charizard completely toasted Alakazam, making this battle quite a walk in the park.

Since the last update:

-Took on Sabrina. I had 3 pokemon with a dark type move, so it was ok
-Took on the fighting dojo. Valene the Starmie thrashed it
-Silph co. was a confusing place. Defeated my rival, got a female Lapras, named her Scylla
-Defeated Giovanni. He was a piece of cake
-Flew to Pallet town and fought swimmers until Cinnabar
-Flew to Fuchsia and went down the sea route to get to Cinnabar for more experience
-Blaine met the wrath of my water pokemon
-Went back to Viridian City
-Giovanni then met the wrath of my water pokemon
-Disbanded Team Rocket!
-Fought my rival again. It wasn't too difficult
-Went through victory road. Nearly got lost. Grinded my team to around level 49/50 and rare candied Valene and Scylla to level 52
-Lorelei was taken down quite easily
-Valene single-handedly brought down Bruno using Surf and Psychic
-Scylla and Valene worked together to take down Agatha, with Scylla using Ice Beam and Valene using Psychic
-Lance was brought down by Scylla's Ice Beam and Aegean's Surf and Strength. Vedenemo and Neptune both faint while stalling
-My rival is the champion! I teach Vedenemo Toxic (to stall) and realize that I forgot to buy revives. Oh dear
-He sends out a Pidgeot against Vedenemo. Toxic helps quite a bit, and Pidgeot eventually faints from the toxic poisoning
-Rhydon didn't even stand a chance. A surf from Neptune took it down
-An Alakazam! This is problematic. I stall it until it runs out of Psychic PP, then Aegean bites (and gets some lucky flinches) and it faints
-A Venusaur! Solarbeam takes out Vedenemo, Neptune, Aegean and my HM slave, but Scylla pulls through with Ice Beam
-Arcanine was quite simple. Scylla fainted it quickly
-His last pokemon is a Gyarados! I get Valene to Psychic it to death, although I could have used Scylla's Shock Wave
-And I'm League Champion! Yay! (also, my champion battle might be slightly out of order, I can't really remember the order of pokemon)

But I was curious, if we were to do Dark, would you allow us to do R/B/Y with just Eevee? (considering she can evolve into a dark type later), or even FireRed/LeafGreen with some dark types? (Since I really dun wanna skip a generation XD)

I was asking if I did do the first generation, could I use Eevee in R/B/Y, or would I have to do FR/LG and use dark types there? XD
