Unevolved Pokémon Challenge!

I have a question about this challenge.

Let's say I start the challenge, and want a Beedrill. Am I allowed to use a Beedrill so long as I catch it as a Beedrill, not a Weedle or Kakuna?

Ok changed my team,
its now Flare(Cyndaquil),Hooting(HootHoot),Mareep(Soon to be Amphy),Geodude(Soon to be Rocks) and Egg(Togepi going to be Togi) and im working on a Wooper(Wop)
I beat Falkner with the skin of my flame (Cyndaquil 4hp)

Nope, you may only use the first stage of the evolution tree ( weedle ) and if it has a baby in the tree ( pichu for the pikachu tree ) you must use that one

You can only use the first stage of all Pokemon, hence "Unevolved" Challenge. Unevolved means that any evolved Pokemon is out.

Finnaly used my Geodude (old team change) and sweeped bugsy after barely beating Falkner with Flare,
Destroyed rival etc.

-rested up at Violet City and defeated the Sprout Tower
-learned a new dance from Earl and reigned champion over Falkner
-caught sandshrew and onix in Union Cave
-helped Kurt defeat Team Rocket in Slowpoke Well
-caught a slowpoke after many failed atttempts and sent Totodile to Pokewaker
-started to partially ev train Splew on wild ghastly, but quit shortly after.

Haven't been able to play Much.

Ham'ra is now 50 and Zarka is now 34 :) Slowly progressing; it takes about an hour to level each one from 45 to 50 with Zarka holding an EXP Share.

I'll be doing a blind mono color, mono type, unevolved run. Blind means no guides or anything trade involved. Meaning I don't know where pokemon are and therefore won't know what my ending team will be xD

So far it's totodile... lol xD

What has happened
-EASILY beat Whitney. I just used my Heracross. OHKO'd her Clefairy. Took three brickbreaks to KO Miltank. Hit it once, then she used super potion, by this time she had already used attract, managed to hit it again, another super potion, then finally I hit it with brickbreak and all of it's HP ran out. YAY!!!
-Got the squirtbottle.
-Went to the Pokathalon.
-Tried the jump course and failed.
-Tried the speed course and failed.
-Tried the speed course again and I won!

and I would have won, but I forgot to buy Revives and Full Restores :s lol I got down to Lance's last Pokemon, Aerodactyl, and I used Return and got rid of 1/3 HP. I went in there with four Pokemon: Dratini; Exeggcute; Eevee; and Vulpix. Mareep and Larvitar fainted prior and I had no Revives :s I would've won.
