Um, I'm not sure if its just me, but I remember seeing a PC supporter with a image on their userittle! I thought we couldnt do that? This is what I mean:

Maybe that supporter was also an ex-staff member and they never changed their usertitle? The staff member are the only members in the forum who can customize their usertitles. So, I'm just guessing it's an ex-staff member. ​

Only admins can do that, and otherwise only mods are allowed to ask admins for it. You might be thinking about Careful with that axe, Pichu!, and ex-assistant admin who has a sleeping Pikachu on his usertitle because, as Ana said, he edited it before leaving the staff. Otherwise, coding isn't allowed in usertitles, and you need coding to put images, so...

It'd be a unique supporter perk to get people donating... But yeah... The coding thing is the only thing that could stand in the way of that.

Supporters already have enough, and staff hardly get anything so it probably shouldn't be a supporter perk.

I disagree, though I honestly wouldn't think that anyone below T5 should get this perk if the staff ever does decide to make it a perk. Still seems unlikely, but I think little perks like this ought not be attached to a donation tier and doesn't count towards pushing you into any tier, but sold individually for the price of 1-3 tiers. :p

Meaning...perks like more PM space; Beyond what the tiers themselves give you, Extra Custom Usertitles; As in formatting and images only.

Things like that are reserved for staff now could definitely generate more income for PC if sold individually and installed by an administrator.

I think that maybe even being able to buy stuff like inline HTML for signatures would be cool. Code up your signature the way you want in HTML, Submit code to the administrator and let them review it, and they install it for you. (No referencing external scripts or complicated inline scripts, just approved scripts only for visual FX)

T6 would be able to pick up these little perks easily because it's priced WAYY up there, but meh, I don't think those folks care. Still would be a nice gesture for someone who bothers to get to T6.

Though in all honesty I don't expect any of the staff members to bite on this idea, I'm just gonna put it out there and see what comes of it.

HTML signatures aren't going to happen.

Oh and you're not selling supportership for perks. People should be donating out of the good of their hearts. Selling makes it sound like PC is a company making profits, so attaching the word "sell" has no point.

Personally I think the perks for each usergroup are fine now (even as mentioned in the last thread).

And do you really think admins want to change over 200 usertitles every single day? No.

I also highly doubt there would be anything remotely near 200 usertitle changes a day. Sorry, not if we price it around $10 or $15 dollars, which would make it just profitable enough hopefully to buy PC some extra server power and anything else it might need. I realize that PC is not a business, but I also realize it needs a better hosting plan if it's to grow any larger than it already has. If we can get this kind of edge over places like Serebii and Bulbapedia then more members will come and then the site could easily pay for itself even more effectively.

I'm against the idea. To exaggerate it a little more, you should want to donate money for PC out of the kindness of your own heart, not for perks like a fancy usertitle.
It can indeed generate more money for PC and could help it to get a better server, which I'm pretty sure we all want at this point, but it still ruins the purpose of the word "donation".

So.. whatever's more important I suppose.

That may be a small exaggeration, but it could still prove to be tiresome after a while.

If PokeCommunity can pay for itself the way things are going now, I see no reason to increase the workload for admins, especially over something like usertitles.

Yeah, like pretty much everyone said, only staff can use custom usertitles, that way it can actually prevent the staff from having their PM box filled up with so many requests from regular members and supporters asking for their usertitle to be changed. Otherwise it sure would put the admins in alot of stress.

Some ex-staff members have a custom usertitle, such as one with a picture. Like Careful With That Axe, Pichu! has a picture in his usertitle. And Forest Grovyle also has a coloured usertitle, and many ex-staff do actually have that sort of thing from what I've experienced. So yeah. ^^'

I don't want to be mean or anything... nor do I want to insult anyone... but having them for a price might be quite hard to do... unless we had something like PC money or something, which I think is possible to do on a vBulletin forum... but I'm pretty certain that it would also place some strain on the dedicated server as well, 'cause PC doesn't have enough dedicated servers to support something like a PC shop. And besides that... it would be extra work on the staff as well... because just imagine how many PMs they'd get? It would be like... "Whoa! Too many requests! We can't handle them all!". So I'd just imagine how they'd feel about it, and I truly understand that. It's already been explained before about how custom usertitles can only be used for the staff only and not for members.

And not only that... but it would also be a hastle for the Admins as well. And well... it's just about impossible unless there is PC money, which would likely put strain on the server.


OK, what I do suggest... is that the question about custom usertitles should be put in the FAQ so that everyone will know and so that it would put an end to all those questions about custom usertitles.

I'm pretty sure that it's not that the image was their usertitle, but that they had no usertitle at all, which is possible. That image would've been their avatar.
