Usohachii's English name revealed

And my theory of NoA actually being more intelligent than 4Kids goes out the window. Just... why!?

But if you pronounce it "BON-SLY" (with the Y as in fly) it makes more sense. Think about it; it's a pun. And you know those Pokemon namers love puns... even the American ones, lol. Look at it and tell me you don't see it:

Bonsai: A Japanese tree with stunted growth due to root and limb pruning
Sly: Tricky or shrewd.

A sly bonsai: Bonsly.

Get it? The pokemon is like a bonsai, but it's really not a grass type, so it's only pretending to be one. Hence the sly part. I think the whole thing was a little bit too vague, though. I didn't figure it out right away either, lol.

I got that it meant sly bonsai when I first saw it, but bons-lee still rolls off the tongue better. I intentionally mispronounce a few names if it makes them sound better. Take Lugia for instance. I say Loo-guy-ah instead of Loo-gi-a because Loo-gi-a sounds like something that I cough up when I have bronchitis.

Why does everyone hate the names? They're not that bad.
No they're worse. Why Nintendo why? What have we done to deserve this?

Well, i liked Seedoweedo more... Bonsly is not as good as it, but not VERY bad.

Seedoweedo sounds like it's a weed. It's not a weed, it's a Bonsai Tree. So, Bonsly sounds better IMO.

Trees cultivated in the art of bonsai are very twiggy. Bonsly is way too bulbous to be a bonsai tree, looking far more like a seed. Weedo would have been acceptable for rhyming purposes.

The name is probably a double-misnomer at that. I dare NoA to prove that Bonsly is sly in any way, shape, or form.
