I was screwing around on the PC shoddy server today, and I had a craving to make a new UU team. Then I decided "Let's try something new!" Offensive=Out. I suck at stall, so I went with a Trick Room team. Let's see the fail come out!

    The First Look

    Uxie@Leftovers
    Sassy Nature
    Levitate
    252 HP/108 Def/148 SpD

    • Trick Room
    • Stealth Rock
    • U-Turn
    • Yawn
Uxie's concept is very simple: Yawn on Turn 1, most likely causing a switch. Then using the free turn to set up Trick Room. With a Sassy nature and a Speed IV of 0, it is pretty dang slow. It can usually pull of a Stealth Rock and U-Turn out safely, ready to come back in for more.

    Porygon-2@Leftovers
    Relaxed Nature
    Trace
    200 HP/100 SpA/156 Def

    • Trick Room
    • Ice Beam
    • Thunderbolt
    • Recover
Another Trick Roomer, and a bulky one at that. BoltBeam provides fantastic coverage, and Recover allows at least 2-3 more Trick Rooms for the rest of my team throughout the match.

    *image removed*
    Slowking@Leftovers
    Quiet Nature
    Own Tempo
    252 HP/252 SpA/4 SpD

    • Trick Room
    • Nasty Plot
    • Surf
    • Ice Beam/Grass Knot
Honestly, Slowking has been one of my weakest links on this team, so please make suggestions over him. I can switch in on any special threat easily enough, Nasty Plot up, and use my two attacks to sweep in theory (Although in practice, it needs work :P). Alternate Trick Roomer.

    Hariyama@Choice Band
    Adamant Nature
    Guts
    252 Atk/152 Def/104 SpD

    • Close Combat
    • Ice Punch
    • Payback
    • Stone Edge
Yes, I changed the EVs up a bunch, so make suggestions there. I don't need the speed (Especially in a Trick Room team, plus it is so slow already...), so threw it into HP. Anyways, Close Combat has excellent STAB, Ice Punch kills bulky grass types, Payback for Ghosts and Psychic types, and Stone Edge for the occaisonal flyer/Ice type.

    *image removed*
    Claydol@Leftovers
    Relaxed Nature
    Levitate
    252 HP/144 Def/114 SpA

    • Rapid Spin
    • Stealth Rock
    • Earth Power
    • Toxic
Best.Spinner.EVAR!!! Resistance to Stealth Rock, and inability to be hit by either form of Spikes. Secondary Stealth Rocker as well. Earth Power for an obligatory STAB move, and Toxic for the occaisonal stall war.

    *image removed*
    Arcanine@Life Orb
    Naive Nature
    Flash Fire
    228 Atk/188 Spe/92 SpA

    • Flare Blitz
    • Overheat
    • HP Grass
    • Extremespeed
Mainly my late-game sweeper, but also serves to sweep when there is no Trick Room up. Serves as a wall breaker as well, which is needed for this team. Flare Blitz and Overheat for STAB, HP Grass hits the majority of the bulky waters (Bar Mantine), and Extremespeed for a high BP priority move. Backed by a Life Orb, damage will be done.

    Changes:

    • Uxie to Sassy Nature, added some SpD EVs
    • P-2 to Relaxed Nature, moved some EVs into Def
    • Haryima's EV spred revamped

After all the help you've given me I feel I need to help you a bit so here are threats, the latter I used with good success against you despite hax tipping in your favour >=/

Why is this thing a threat? Well after an SD he tears your team apart. Sure you may have Trick Room up but its not going to be always possible to have it up. Claydol, Uxie and Slowking all fall to X-Scissor. Porgon-2 falls to Brick Break(107.22% - 125.94%) and Aerial Ace flattens Arcanine. You could fix this by changing P2's nature to Bold and pouring some more EV's into Def allowing him to survive and hit back with Ice Beam =/

Here is another threat for you Jake, Life Orb Shaymin will cause you alot of pain. It's bulky and can OHKO Slowking, Claydol with STABed super-effective Seed Flare. Hariyama falls to Air Slash and Uxie/Porygon 2 can't switch into Seed Flare safely.

    Timid LO Shaymin w/ Seed Flare on 252 HP/4SpD Uxie - 48.59% - 57.06%(2HKO)
    Timid LO Shaymin w/ Seed Flare on 252 HP/4 SpD P2 - 59.89% - 70.59%(2HKO)

Arcanine isn't safe either, Shaymin outspeeds him and OHKO's him.

Just some threats I picked out =)

Scyther: Hasn't been problematic actually. Arcanine can outspeed it and Overheat/Flare Blitz it to death very quickly (Unless hax kills me and I miss :P).

Shaymin: You killed me with it (Sort of XD).

I agree with you. I'll switch P-2 over to a Relaxed Nature (+Def, - Speed :P). I'm also thinking about making Uxie@Sassy with some more SpD investment for Shaymin, as Scyther can be handled better if I switch P-2.

Why max out Hariyama's HP? His HP is already titanic; he probably gets more bulk by investing in his fairly mediocre defensive stats.

I was hoping someone would give me EV advice there liked I asked for ^^ Now, more Defense or Special Defense XD

Actually Scyther outrun Arcanine and OHKO's him with +2 Aerial Ace.

Not in Trick Room, which is what this team is based off of. Uxie and P2 live the Seed Flare, TR up, and have Arcanine kill it. Scyther is mildly threatening, but of course, a more defensive P2 would help.

you could probably make more use out of giving Arcanine Intimidate instead of Flash Fire. if you haven't realized, your team doesn't necessarily have a drawing fire weak.

i actually used to run a Lum Berry Houndoom set on one of my Pearl teams. it would rip through this.

This team seems to have trouble with CM Mismagius as well. If either:

    A: Trick room is down.

    or

    B: Hariyama is down.

It takes out the rest in short order. I would suggest replacing Slowking with Muk, it covers Mismagius and Scyther. You already have 2 trick roomers anyway, and he serves as a great tank plus another way to rid yourself of toxic spikes. Try this set:

    Muk@Black Sludge
    Sticky Hold/Careful
    252 HP/80 Def/176 SpD
-Curse (always good w/ trick room)
    -Poison Jab
-Brick Break (Backup fighting move + prevents dual screen stalls)
-Shadow Sneak (Revenges nearly dead pokes and hurts ghost types)

*Head Slap* Yeah, I have no idea why I'm using Flash Fire XD But can you actually back up the claim that you are using for Lum Berry Houndoom? I've handled it so far with ease, and it doesn't phase much :P

She really hasn't done much to me either. But I will actually try this to see how it works, seems interesting ^^
