@Chuckles: Yes and no. Technically there will be weapons, but I'd rather keep that under wraps for now.

History

The mysterious case of Lia Campani started on a freezing winter day in the bustling town of Madison, Wisconsin. The only child of former NFL star, Marcus Campani, the baby girl came into the world to luxury. Lia was pampered from the day she was born but, was always grateful and courteous to her parents. From day one they thought that they had been blessed with the perfect daughter.

Even from the beginning it was clear that the young Campani was gifted in the world of athletics. Faster, better, stronger, were the only words that could describe the incredible little girl's abilities. On her fifth birthday, Lia was put on a youth basketball team and dominated all her peers, pulling of moves capable of a teen while the others fumbled with the ball. Her skills were incredible to say the least and she joined each and every team she could, loving every moment of it.

Then something even more incredible happened. Lia was sprinting as hard as she could. The finish line was only 100 meters away. She had an incredible lead on all her opponents so, nothing should have gone wrong. Suddenly, Lia felt her pulse speed up, then speed up, then speed up. Her head felt as if it were splitting and the young girl fell to the ground screaming, not knowing what was wrong. Then it seemed that all hell broke loose. The ground shook and shook and then a giant crevice in the Earth split right in front of where the girl lay.

To understand how this event occurred, one must travel to the life of Marcus Campani, NFL legend, and Geomancer. The first generation mage had mastered his skills on his own as a young child, not knowing what to do or who to tell, he kept his powers a secret and used them discreetly to aid him on reaching his goal as professional football player. However, when his child was born he didn't know if she would inherit his curse. He just hoped for the best and was relieved when nothing had happened for the first eight years of her life. But then Lia's little incident happened.

The occurrence that Lia had went through was officially named as an earthquake but, government officials took note and soon started sending the Campani's letter after letter about "Magic Schools" and such. Marcus refused to have his young daughter be taken away to one of those schools so he decided to teach her how to control her powers, himself.

Starting at age nine, Lia learned from her father how to use the powers that she discovered. It took sometime but, by the age of fourteen, the young Geomancer had the basics down pat.

By then, she had already started high school and it was evident that she was one of the more popular girls there. She was quite the pretty girl and her athletics helped her connect with many of her peers. However, she struggled heavily in her academics and struggled to pass most of her classes.

While Lia was the star athlete and an obedient child at home, she was quite the troublemaker at school. Time after time, parents were called, principals were called, and ever so often the police. While she was respectful to her parents, Lia had a mischievous and sly side away from the house.

The Campani's were eventually sick and tired of lecturing Lia and having her repeat herself, Marcus looked through the older letters of "Magic Schools" looking to have his daughter join. None of them would accept now that he had rejected them. But one day a letter from one, "Vale Institute of Higher Learning" was received... almost, magically.

Personality

A mischievous young lady, Lia always keeps her innocent little smile upon her face. She loves to pull pranks on anyone she can and pick on those who think that they're above others. Almost always cheerful, the bubbly girl loves to chat on and on about anything with anyone she can. Most of the time she's a sly and smooth person but, when things get anywhere near romantic the cool and calm demeanor fades into a babbling, frightened little girl.

As expected because of her athletic prowess, Lia is extremely competitive and can take even simple gestures as a challenge and won't stop until she wins. While she is most often teasing others, Lia cares extremely for those close to her and loves them to the point where she would sacrifice herself for them.

Spells

Earth Manipulation: Junior can manipulate the earth around him in a small variety of ways. She can create objects from the ground which takes up amounts of energy depending on how large or complex the object is.

Sixth Sense: Junior sends a pulse through the terrain and can feel/see anything touching the ground in a twenty foot radius.

I have one question regarding one of the spells, that fast movement I'm guessing its because he moves at the speed of light, but does that menas his entire body becomes light???

I understand wind magic to be used as a means for acceleration, but becoming light seems quite an overkill and not something one could use for en extended period of times, unless they had a massive amount of magic power and training.

But then again everyoen seems to be quite amazing for just being a bunch of kinds that just arrived to the school with little, or none, previous magical training. Or at least the ones that have fought so far =P

Well, I don't know about everyone else... however Indigo and Shion both have ended up in the infirmary after their evidently explosive battle... Though I'm not sure if there's anything in particular we're meant to do or anywhere in particular we're meant to go...

oddly enough, I hardly ever do that, and yet I'm the most pro of them all.

You have to keep in mind that some of Zane's, or I'm guessing everyone's, SU has some history kept back; in fact Colony said so himself. Additionally they mentioned something about "every fifty years" in the post; if that's so, they're probably made to be better at birth to begin with.

Nyeh, not everyone is that strong. Everyone has had some training or control of their powers, as well as some have the generational advantage (see: Igna) and thus their powers are stronger since they've been taught by their parents or other important people in their life. But as you can tell, Sytano's screwed because let's face it, his powers < his opponent's powers.

@ChiliDawgs: The history, personality, and pretty much everything is good to go. Only one problem that needs to be cleared up. The Earth Manipulation spell is a bit confusing, since it seems to have multiple effects other than manipulating earth. Specifically this line is in question: "She can also shift the earth around her, creating small earthquakes, speeding her up, or making her able to leap higher." Small earthquakes still seems to be in line with the spell and creative use could make sense for jumping, but propulsion seems a little out there. A little explanation on that or possible dividing it into another spell (you can start with 3) and you are good to go.

@ChaosCrystal: Yeah, the spell where Zane moves really fast is essentially him moving at the speed of light. Though it may seem really strong at first there are some key weaknesses to the spell. In most situations it wouldn't be useful since it can only move him two or three feet at a time, the only reason it worked against Christian is because he was using a close range attack. You're right, though. Extended use of the spell cause internal hemorrhaging and can kill the user. That's also why Zane didn't use the spell at the beginning of the duel, 'cause anything longer than the thirty or so IC seconds would've incapacitated him.

Edit: After a match is over there are a handful of options. You can observe other matches that are going on, take a trip to the infirmary of injured, go hang out at the Rec Center, check out the dorms, or find some students to interact with. After all of the matches are over a quick announcement will be made in the IC, which will spurn all of the students to meet at one of the classrooms.
