As we saw in one of the overworld scenes of the new trailer, there was a glimpse of the yellow truck that was shown among other vehicles in the initial concept art that we first caught back in February when the games were announced. Some other vehicles included an ambulance and another truck.

That then brings up this, what are you hoping to expect from the vehicles? Maybe little side missions that could reward you stuff? Or are you hoping to see more than what we saw in the artwork?

I do think they will serve some sort of functional purpose. The artwork for multiple different vehicles was intentionally focused on during the announcement trailer and then we saw them in the recent footage on the side of the street. Not only that but X/Y introduced the taxi service which was limited to Lumiose City, perhaps this time it could be an expanded feature which allows you to use (or ride) them in some parts of the storyline.

I remember the taxis in Lumiose City that served as a quick way to get to certain parts of the city, but I never used it that much so it was kinda forgettable to me. What I hope to see out of these new vehicles is that they could have an expanded function like Blue said, and you could ride them at certain points of the game.

One thing most don't remember from 5th Gen is on Skyarrow Bridge, as well as the bridge that is above you on Route 4 which had vehicles driving over it. Imagine if we ended up having vehicles going past you like we had then.

I already expect to travel by boat at the beginning before getting Surf.

It'd be great if you could drive it yourself, but being kid-friendly it would be VERY limited as to what you can do, you wouldn't be able to run people and Pokémon over and you wouldn't be able to wreck stuff. I'd expect it to just stay on the road and the road only.

Then again, you're playing as a kid, so the likelihood of you driving is very, very slim, though in Hawaii the legal driving age is 15 and a half...
